- Well... here it is! The Final Chapter to the Stabila Warranty series.
After Jaime did not get any warranty replacement on his prized level, he purchased a new set of Stabila levels online. BUT... the next day I called Stabila just to make sure that the warranty wouldn't offer any help. It turns out that they had actually watched our video and realized that their warranty dept had MADE A MISTAKE (new guy) by not calling to offer a discounted NEW level before returning Jaime's old level. They made things right with us... and you will just have to watch the video to find out the details.
P.S. to new guy at Stabila... I hope STABILA was fair to you! We all make mistakes and are not mad at you, nor Stabila. Made for a great Video!

Agreed! I love these guys. Love their work, attitudes, videos. I'm glad Stabila sent them new levels but I don't believe Stabila owed them anything based on the second video. Just good PR.
I would put no faith in their warranty. I'm glad you got a replacement. But no one else would get that kind of treatment.

I wonder what would happen if Kyle from RR buildings had the same issue, firstly we would probably never know and if we did, it would be Kyle visiting the factory in Germany again getting his new digital upgrade, no offence to Kyle he has a good relationship with them b ut he has been given all his for free and I have paid for all of mine and my claim was rejected just like yours was, exactly.
@peter blackwood i think kyle gets new tools everytime he opens a box of breakfast cereal. He's playing it smart though. He rotates between all three major brands

This video has convinced me to never buy a Stabila level. They obviously don't honor their warranty unless you have 144,000 followers on RUclips. And then they lie and say it was a "mistake." Nonsense, they just hated the bad publicity.

M Roberts, Yeah you are right on that. I had a 4' electronic stabila level and the electronics went out just over a year and I called them and they were not going to fix it for free at all. I just kept using it minus the electronic part and now it's not reading level anymore. I don't know, not really that happy overall with it.

I did too. Tagged em the video on Facebook and asked them what was up. They replied saying they were making it right. Glad to see they came through.
I Tweeted them....I'm sure hat wasn't a great day down at the old Level office.
I emailed them and commented in a bunch of Stabila's RUclips videos with a link to the other video video.
The power of public perception was way too much for Stabila. Your last Stabila video left them a bit off center.

Glad you got a new one. But they didn't fool anyone with this. They saw all the people saying they would never buy them because their warranty is shit. I for one will never buy one. I'll keep it to made on the USA
Made in the USA, is there even anything like that? Even Vice-Grips are now made in China. sad... but we did it to ourselves by buying the cheap crap. We "Walmarted" ourselves out of a manufacturing base.
coast very good point. It's a sad shame that we've outsourced our manufacturing. Maybe we will get back to making things here before it's too late.

They might now have a new policy in place to search for the person requesting a warranty on RUclips before they automatically deny their claim. But the damage seems to be already done, most people (except for the Perkins brothers) aren't buying their bullshit sob story... damn sellouts man.. such a shame

Ya, still a hard pass onn Stibila. I'll Stick with my cheaper ones that do the same thing (and have a magnet). No warranty but who cares. Cheap enough to just by another. Take care of them and they last well as does anything. Saying goes take care of your stuff it will take care of you.

This is the classic case of a "celebrity" or "influencer" getting treatment that the "regular guy" would never get once the company realizes they made a terrible PR decision.

Hey brother, the tiny one is to put it over the drain in new showers and make sure it is leveled. It fits right on top with no overhang so that the pitch of the shower pan does not interfere with it. Just thought you should know. God bless!
Also good for leveling electrical sockets if you install them in concrete or brick walls (done that with a bigger level, a bit awkward if you ask me).

I've had two levels go bad. Got two new ones no questions asked. Told the lumber yard to take care of it and they did. Just an average contractor but I bought it through the lumber yard.
That is BS on Stabila part ... they don't send Levels for free to people that do not have RUclips channels and shame them on the channel!

Not sure if I buy stabilas excuse I think they panicked when they saw how pissed your viewers were. Either way I think it’s very nice of you to give ray those levels.
For what it’s worth, I have the same set and I love these levels. LOVE THEM. and the case they came in. I know, it’s freaky and weird, but these are excellent, durable, accurate levels and the case protects them in the truck and has room for more. I’ve used big-box store throw-away levels for years...I’ll never go back!
I am glad they came through! My Milwaukee 48inch level arrived to day and I am impressed with the quality. Sorry, I like mine better.

Stabila saw 146000 subscribers, and said make a new video. Let’s be real here. Happens 100s of thousands of times to many youtubers and “influencers”
I worked in the Alarm Industry 38 years - We used little mini levels like that for panels, sensors, maglocks, PIRs -- and to show customers their keypad was level
I emailed them and this was their reply.

We will always firmly stand behind our warranty statement and guidelines, which does state that bent and damaged levels do void the lifetime warranty. Where we clearly failed, however, is communicating that with Mr. Perkins immediately and offering him a generous discount on a new level. You are 100% correct in acknowledging that. Over the past 2 weeks, we have reviewed and solidified our policy to make sure this never happens again. Documented evidence of bent and damaged frames will be offered as will a very nice discount on a brand new level. Stabila even has a video on how to check accuracy on your level. Dude In it said only a handful of levels get replaced in a year. Most levels are bent and get denied warranty, which yours was bent and the vial is considered a moving part. You definitely got special treatment when they saw your video.
I just bought a 5 pack of stabilas and I have to say that they are great but I would not have had I seen these videos. Like everyone else is saying, they would not have done that for just anybody.

Stabilia might be playing favorites with you tubers but I’m guessing that Eric’s strongly worded phone call is what actually did it.
You would be amazed at what “level headed” logic can bring you.
Firm, respectful, intelligent arguments will get you miles. You just have to be willing to spend time.
Besides, no one can argue that Stabilia is probably the best level in the world.

I'm very glad you got your level but i know for sure Stabila not being honest with us. Its very sad when you spend the extra $$$ to buy a good product but they don't care about you later down the road. No loyalty at all so is a no buy again for me. T

Its all good guys you have great channel, but they are definitely doing damage control. Don't underestimate the power you kinda have with the 144k followers. The channel will only get bigger.

In Russia Stabila sells short level similar to yours. It has built in magnet. Electricians attach the level to metal electrical plug when screw them in into electrical boxes. The boxes are European style ie round. So you need a level to mount a plug into outlet level

This is awesome.... I was at the local box store, and they had a Stabila 24” level on the shelf for $88... I even asked the guy, “does this one light up or something” assuming it had a button... he proceeds to tell me how they are the best levels and all, and even touted their vial replacement.... I kinda picture myself NEVER returning a level unless it happens very close to when I got it....
Then, let’s just say I DO get the level, thinking if there was an issue, I could get it fixed or replaced and that will save money in the long run... unless you have publicity, it appears he wasn’t getting a level until he blasted it all over youtube....

Basically if Stabila don't warrant their levels within reason. Make a video get them all replaced!
I bought the mini as a joke because it was only 5 bucks but found a good use leveling thin sills and header jambs.
I use the small level for bathroom accessories, like toilet roll holders and hand towel rails 👍🏻
Oh snap! I was so mad about how they treated you I phoned in and told them I would never ever buy another stabila level because how they treated you. When I texted them a picture of my 48" level they pointed out it was a Stanley, and not a Stabila and realized I was too cheap to make good on my threat. But isn't it the thought that counts? I had your back! Cheaply, but I had it!

#1: They gave very specific reasons why your level didn't pass. They tested it so it wasn't a "mistake".
#2: Eric spent a drive talking with them.
#3: They admitted that they saw your video and realized how bad they looked and would continue to look because RUclips would be showing that video for the next decade.
The only logical business decision was to expedite ship a new level to you and hope for a new video. Any company would do this, but they really need to update their return policy if they want to gain back trust.
i have a couple of those teeny levels but mine has a magnet for pipe, i slap it on when i bend EMT offsets and 90 degree. Also that total 180 they did was bullshit, their "mistake" would have never been corrected if you did not phone them to ask again when they should have done it properly in the first place from their warranty department
This does sound a bit dodgy stabilla said straight away we saw your video. Think this is a bit of cheap advertising by stabilla when they saw all the bad comments. Glad you got your level sorted. Ive got that special edition set they are good
I have one of those small levels called the "stabila electric" which has a magnetic back and indentation so you can clip it to the metal inside of an outlet you want to install...

I call BS on Stabila as well. After watching part 2 of your video, I sent a lengthy email to Stabila customer service and told them a lot of things, especially that they needed to watch your video. NEVER GOT A REPLY from Stabila because I don't have a RUclips channel. Lol
I've had a plumbing inspector pull out a baby pocket level and check a short sink drain or laundry drain pipe (between the trap and tee) in a wall.
