As someone who works multiple jobs, I love training intuitively. It allows me to adjust for energy levels. I've been training for 10 years, so I've acquired enough knowledge to do it on my own

I agree, listing to your mind and body on any give day makes more sense than forcing your way through a structured program. Paying attention to your energy levels, as you mentioned, is part of the equation.

What I love about this show is that all 3 of you are honest about your own biases and faults. Makes you more “human”

As a beginner (5 months in), I love working intuitively. Going to the gym and exercising is hard enough - I don't feel that I have the discipline to follow a program. It'll start feeling more like work. Right now, exercising feels more like play, since I have the freedom to choose what to do. I think that once I'm consistently hitting the gym for a few years and I know that now it's a part of my lifestyle, I may pick up a program. I think newbie gains might be enough for my weight loss and fitness goals for now. In 3-4 years, when I might start plateauing, a program will be very valuable!

Any certain programs that y'all recommend?

I'm a 66 year old male who employs both structured and intuitive training. I will be in the middle of a structured routine on any given day and suddenly realize I need to perform an exercise I'm weak with. My intuition never tells me to perform exercises I like and I'm strong in, it always points me to performing exercises I need more work with. I think it's a good idea to pay attention to what our minds and bodies tell us rather than simply plow through a structured program every time we work out. I think using both approaches helps balance our results. I think a totally structured program is best suited to body builders. I seek good health and a good balance of muscle, not the physique of a massive body builder.
