When it comes to working out there are a lot of options out there. ATHLEAN-X, P90X, Insanity, etc. The problem is, not every option is good for everybody. If you're looking for shorter more intense workouts that deliver significant results in 90 days then you might want to look at the ATHLEAN-X training systems.
ATHLEAN-X is built on the principles of "Pro Athlete Training". By moving like an athlete and following the same type of strength training and conditioning it is definitely possible to start looking like one in 90 days.
With a mix of ground based functional training and ATHLEAN Burst Training fat burning conditioning workouts, the complete ATHLEAN-X system allows you to add lean muscle while at the same time losing fat. No more need to choose one over the other now. Couple this with a meal plan that is truly one of the easiest to follow in the industry and you've got as potent a fitness one-two knockout punch as you can get right now.
Created by celebrity pro athlete trainer and former major league baseball physical therapist Jeff Cavaliere, the ATHLEAN-X training systems applies the latest science back into strength and conditioning to produce a workout program that is on the cutting edge (not only in it's structure but in it's delivery methods).
If you want to start looking like an athlete, then you should see for yourself not only how ATHLEAN-X differs from P90X in may key ways, but what that means for you when it comes time to decide which program best suits you and your goals. If you're ready to join the rest of "TEAM ATHLEAN" in over 142 countries worldwide, then head to athleanx.com

I'm not an advocate for P90X in particular, This is just my thoughts as a consumer.
Athlean X has an awesome channel, but I'm floored by it, it's got so many videos and not a clear regiment.
I find myself looking through a vast library of knowledge not knowing where to start as most of his stuff is out of my level.
P90 to P90X to P90x3 Is some dum dum DVD's I can follow.
I was fat and couldn't do many pushups. So I started p90, I really needed to learn and be told what to do without studying.
I graduated to p90X and I think the muscle confusion isn't about how there is only 1 chest DVD but rather you alternate all the DVDs through the week,
meaning, it's not about doing chest and other chest-related things daily, it's not about doing yoga all week long.
P90X also combines a lot of stretching into its cardio and resistance training as well as a little Kempo martial arts.
I'm not saying you'll get a black belt at the end but you will learn to throw a decent punch and kick.
So after P90x you're not only fit but you have more balance and flexibility.
Once you're in shape P90X3 will put you in the position you want to be which is a 30-minute maintenance workout to keep everything you've worked for.
I can totally see how Jeff's stuff from a fitness guru perspective is better and more robust
But for me, I'm not looking to compete athletically in anything, I like a nice-looking shirtless body but I'm not looking to oil up and body build either.
I'm just trying to say that unless Jeff comes out with his own DVD set. It's really hard to compare these two as apples to apples.
Personally, I am looking for a dum dum regiment to follow. I'm willing to put in the work, I just want to be told what to do. I don't want to study and learn for myself.
Jeff needs to come out on his channel, how to catch up to him.
If you're at this BMI, do this for how many days, then graduate to that. etc.
Again, I think the athlean X channel is chock full of awesome videos and info, I just feel like a kid in an oxford library there, totally lost.

Great points and well said! I just started P90X, and for me personally as well, I love the follow along format. It takes the stress out of workout programming, which can easily become a rabbit hole of information overload and conflicting data. It’s also much more fun to follow a set program, especially for busy people with careers. Tony’s cooky personality is great as well. At the end of the day, results are what matter most - no matter how you get them.
Time will tell if it gets boring over time, but I’m loving it so far.

90 days gets you far but either way it needs to be for life

    • @CKingery
      @CKingery 7 лет назад +28

Bryon Simons I think that's what Jeff is always trying to indicate but never directly says. He designed the program so that it can be continued for life, the 90 days is basically just your training camp for a new life of fitness. That's what other programs don't offer. Jeff wants you to take the 90 days worth of knowledge he gives you and translate that into a lifestyle that you can implement for the rest of your life if you want. And that's why he's the best, IMO.
And also, Jeff isn't afraid to admit when he's been wrong, or just change when he isn't completely right. He will evolve himself and his regiment and the program itself if he comes upon a way to make it better.

Love athlean x and not plugging one company against the other .. but have to correct you on P90 x .. it actually has a ton of rest and recovery and it’s 60-90 min because the first 15-20 min before and after is strictly warm up and stretching the actual workout is prob only 30 -40 min.. Tons of yoga, stretching, foam rolling mobility and diff workouts every week.. not the same chest workout each day! Just had to correct this for all watching.. just 2 diff concepts one is following along to see form and the exercise the other is more independent watch the video then go and do on your own at the gym! Depends on what works for you best. But definitely Either way it’s up to YOU to put the work in and follow your nutrition for a lifetime not just 90 days!! Thanks again for the info!!

So i did a whole round with p90x. Stuck with it did everything, seen changes, i grew mass. Im 138 lbs and everyone could tell I grew. I enjoyed it I i had energy felt great and everything. So I had a major stomach surgery that put me out, i didn't work out for 6 years. Started feeling bad had some blood work done come to find out within 6 years I had acquired hypothyroidism, which really put me down. Noticing at 138 and starting to see a gut feeling bad no energy really down. Found Jeff and started to get motivated. I have been following his workouts and the difference between strength in just a few months and a year of p90x is not a comparison. My stomach looks better I'm more defined leaner. Just a better all around workout. P90x is good but athlene x is great. Plus we have 6 kids to twin that are 6 months so the quick workouts are great. Thanks for this channel.

I started with P90X and moved on to a compound steady workout implementing Jeff's ideas. Before that though, I did do P90X, but instead of doing a full workout a day, I would cut it in half in order to add more weight and not burn as much calories, as I getting bigger was my main goal. I still do those workouts now. At the end of the day, P90X is a great workout guide that introduces newbies to an array of free weight exercises and help prepare you for the heavier compound exercises. It's a great idea to integrate both compound and free weight exercises into a workout program.

P90X works if you put in the work. I've done P90X and The Rack. Both are great. It's difficult getting to a gym for some. You can do P90X and The Rack in your living room, yard, garage, etc.

I love Beachbody and Athlean X as these programs are awesome and to me that's good as they're all fitness programs for me. Favorite Beachbody programs are Insanity Max 30, P90X, and Body Beast. But i would love to do AX1 one day.

the knee cap is supported by tendons and ligaments ACL and PCL and MCL? the muscles around the knee help to put it into structural integrity and stability, my belief was that you cant increase your tenden strength, maybe some glucosamine for general joint health?

I can't say I've tried Athlean myself, but for about 5 months a year I train badminton full time (5/6 hours a day) so I have some experience with . Athlean is designed to be an intense workout, if you finish the program and go straight to your boxing it is quite possible you'll overdo it. Jeff says in the video that the program is designed to be a standalone program, there are even off days. It sounds like you're pretty fit, so ask your boxing coach if you can add Athlean in.

So what I'm wondering is did this interviewer stick with Athlean-X and what results has he gotten? That would make a nice follow-up to this 6 year old interview!

Seriously! I want to see if he stuck with it. Google didn't populate with anything when I searched for him and Athlean X. Doesn't mean it doesn't work if you stick with it, naturally.

Sinds I take more breaks to recover. My gains are finally coming. Train more intense. But train less during the week. Saves time. Better results. Less stress. Thanks Jeff to press on the recovery side!

Jeff ive been having trouble balencing out my muscles in terms of size (in particular my pectorals as well as my delts and lats), i dont know what im doing wrong but im not seeing any results no matter how hard i train them. this is the situation: there is very little mass on my right upper pectoral, right delt and right lat but on the otherside my pec and shoulder and lat are well developed and filled out. if there is anything you can suggest that i can do it would be greatly appreciated thanks

oh boy...I'm so late, but i was gonna ask this question. I've done P90x twice. it's cool and i like Tony Horton, but Jeff gets to the nuts and bolts of the form and how the body works mechanically. Jeff speaks to me as an automotive mechanic and as a massage therapist💪

@@Zyraak incremental for incremental goals. Then you graduate to the next level. If you do not perform to standard then you repeat the previous weeks. It's like being coached, and a great way for personal fitness assessment.
