It's too late for 2025. 32 charters have already been signed. If NASCAR caves to Jordan, they would have to renegotiate with everyone, and they won't do that. They will revoke FRM and Jordan's charters first. There are teams looking to expand. RFK for one.
23XI and Front row will end up signing if they want to race next year. They have zero leverage to negotiate and are very easy to replace ATM. Anything 23xi or FRM asks for now, can be countered by NASCAR naming people that would happily take their charter.
It would not hurt my feelings if 23X I lost their charter. I have zero respect for Denny, Hamlin or Michael Jordan because they're keeping on beating this drum that all they want are permanent charters, do they not know how NASCAR works? NASCAR in the world words of bill France Junior is that it is and I quote a benevolent dictatorship in the quote NASCAR as long as it is owned and run by the French family will never give up any leverage to a driver or owner. It will always be run and control by the French family and they just need to take what they can get and shut their mouth and race or preferably leave the sport.
Bingo. There is nothing wrong with negotiating for a better price, but understand it's their business their rules there ball there field. It pure entertainment to tell a business owner how he's gonna run his business or else. Ask any youtube creator if they can just tell youtube how they're gonna do things🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think everyone involved will have some saving grace, if they want it. All sports in America have changed. Even the NCAA. where players are now getting opportunities($$$) for not only playing, but to participate in the free market (Capitalism). This not only grows the fan base but attracts other investors($$$) and grows the sport. I don't think the majority wants to play "GOTCHA". These other more modern business models have a successful record, and Investors are more comfortable with them because it offers not only flexibility to all involved, but the transparency is a sign of trust. Again if they want it. NASCAR will win, but it's how they win, that will determine the life expectancy of the sport.
8:10 the tire being left in front of the car was done on purpose. That guy meant to sabotage the pit stop. There is no other reason to stop, roll one tire, drop one tire and make sure to stop it in front of the car, turn around, and then wait for the driver to exit the pit box…while being on the traffic side of the pit stall.
Larson will be in the final 4, bank it. His wreak was 'fluke-ish'. Likely a RR flat. I fully agree with KP about Hamlin's comment. Maybe Denny meant it was a minimum but no idea why he decided he couldn't win.
Wasn’t it put out like in June., sign an agreement or nobody gonna be happy…… then they started adding ugly clauses….. like the France family owning charters. Now the France owned IMSA team is out of Cup😅😅😅
I’ve been blaming Blaney team for a couple years. He always gets to the front only to have his pit crew put him behind. How he won last year is astonishing.
Petty should have absolutely nothing to say about hamlin Petty has over 800 starts & under ten wins. He is nowhere near the class of driver that hamlin is .
These races are absolutely fixed and its crazy to me that so many people still fall for it..Hamlin driving around in 30th all day and not trying at all?and he's a"playoff" driver?😂..Gibbs up front but falls to 17th in a lap?Logano not seen or mentioned all race long until the end? Oh yeah, and his autotrader sponsor is based in Atlanta, imagine that😂..Its called setting a live bet trap when they keep switching leaders like that..Make people scared they are going to lose their money so they will keep betting on the drivers nascar and Vegas already know isn't going to win..
While i don’t know the numbers of the money i do think NASCAR is greedy and not looking after the people that keep there sport going , they should have gave the teams incentives that would make them proud to race for nascar instead of they said sign or cough up the charter sounds to me like puttin is running nascar
Kyle Petty talks tough as a commentator, but wasn’t even mediocre as a driver. I could care less what Doogie Hamlin says he’s about the biggest crybaby in NASCAR just like the rest of JGR current and recent past drivers they haven’t had a decent driver since Carl Edwards left
It's clear that the various teams that compete weekly in NASCAR races don't all operate under the same economic realities. Like in every aspect of life there are large differences in financial wherewithal. With that being said, I look at Charters as a sort of license, and we all know licenses expire. The current Charter agreement expires after the race in Pheonix. 13 of 15 teams opted to sign the proffered Charter agreement thereby renewing their Charters for the next 7 years. The two holdouts are clearly hoping for a better outcome for themselves, but I would hazard a guess they're pipe-dreaming on this one. I can only surmise that NASCAR considers the Charter negotiations concluded, finished, done. It's probably a misnomer to say that NASCAR will revoke those two teams Charter, rather, they'll simply expire at the conclusion of the 2024 season. I don't know if the economies of scale are so vastly different for 23XI and FRM that they need a better deal to stay solvent? Obviously 13 other teams didn't see it that way.
@@BeatingandBanging Hey Kyle. Since your video both Rick Hendrick and Justin Marks has some very telling comments about the Charter negotiations. Jayski has those comments posted to his site. You should check them out if you haven't already.
so yesterday's action in atlanta raises a question. kyle larson recently commented that he is a better race car driver than F1's max verstappen. how can that be when kyle larson cannot conquer the superspeedways on his own schedule? he is just not good at it.
OK, I have a question. I am not in the know regarding charters and most other things nascar. But, let me ask anyway. If I buy a charter from Joe Smuckatelle for a cool million dollars. And lets say nascar is going to revoke that charter due to me not signing. Does nascar give me the million back? And I no longer have a charter? The money ORIGINALLY had to go to nascar at the beginning of this charter thing. So if there are 36 teams and they each paid a cool million. Nascar would have made 36 million dollars, correct. Not counting the 15 percent or so, on the TV Deal. But the team would lose the cool million right? With the cost of charters now (at an impressive 4 million or whatever the cost is) teams will make money by selling their charters. But in this case 23II will lose in the fact they paid so much for each charter. Yet will get so little (in fact 0) if they do not sign. Is that strong arming a team?

Petty is stuck in the past. To win a championship you have to either point or win your way into the next round, and Denny had alot of points taken away due to the engine screw-up. Currently points are likely Denny's best chance to stay in, and since he didn't have a winning car points was the right choice.

@@jeremyc9229 Have you seen the new Losi Nascar RC's? One of them is a Truex Jr car.
Agreed. Down home we call it 💩 to close to the trailer, and it ALWAYS a bad idea
Bingo. There is nothing wrong with negotiating for a better price, but understand it's their business their rules there ball there field. It pure entertainment to tell a business owner how he's gonna run his business or else. Ask any youtube creator if they can just tell youtube how they're gonna do things🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@shaynejenkins446 unless they give Jr 4 charters for free I don’t see giving MJ the bird as a good idea right now.
Nobody gives a damn what Kyle Petty has to say.
Who cares what kyle petty says. Lol not that i want hamlin to won ever
Denny was in his feelings with the charter deal and was like im gone quit 😂😂 or was Hungover one he was in California and they were racing in Atlanta
actually who cares what Kyle Petty thinks. Dale Jarrett yes, but the no-talent Petty not so much.
I’m not sure I’m going to bet against Michael Jordan.
Me either.
I hope NASCAR pays you to do this 🏆🏁🏎👍😜
Well seeing as they don’t even pay the charters I doubt they pay him
I wish.
Larson will be in the final 4, bank it. His wreak was 'fluke-ish'. Likely a RR flat.
I fully agree with KP about Hamlin's comment. Maybe Denny meant it was a minimum but no idea why he decided he couldn't win.
8:04 must be the 19 cup crew pitting that car.
I hear you. He’s overcome them on multiple occasions.
Petty should have absolutely nothing to say about hamlin Petty has over 800 starts & under ten wins. He is nowhere near the class of driver that hamlin is .
Three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Denny Shamlin putting his foot in his mouth.
That was a crazy crash for Larson I wonder if left rear went? Thanks for soft walls that was hard hit.
Was crazy indeed.
They all caved as usual except the two who didn't sign.
Denny need stop the yapping and win a damn championship
These races are absolutely fixed and its crazy to me that so many people still fall for it..Hamlin driving around in 30th all day and not trying at all?and he's a"playoff" driver?😂..Gibbs up front but falls to 17th in a lap?Logano not seen or mentioned all race long until the end? Oh yeah, and his autotrader sponsor is based in Atlanta, imagine that😂..Its called setting a live bet trap when they keep switching leaders like that..Make people scared they are going to lose their money so they will keep betting on the drivers nascar and Vegas already know isn't going to win..
Well blaney was calmer than normal lol
That's funny. True.
blaney 2024 is way calmer than ever before. still moments, fewer f bombs. being champion has mellowed him just a slight bit.
Slight.
Denny got a streak of yella on his backside. Whining i dun wana wreck chris. 😭
Can not stand denny.....period but thank you for standing up to the Nascar I now hate nor watch nor support.....thank you
While i don’t know the numbers of the money i do think NASCAR is greedy and not looking after the people that keep there sport going , they should have gave the teams incentives that would make them proud to race for nascar instead of they said sign or cough up the charter sounds to me like puttin is running nascar
Kyle Petty talks tough as a commentator, but wasn’t even mediocre as a driver. If Kyle Petty had backed up his comments with past performance he might have some credibility, but the truth is, Kyle Petty is a thinks he know-it-all smart-a$$ who is quick to criticize others while failing to perform himself.
I commented the same thing, he had over 800 starts & less than 10 wins. He has no room to talk about anybody.

The race yesterday was so bad I wish I was watching a football game rick fitts from New Hampshire
So bad? Really? What didn't you like about it? I'm genuinely curious. There was plenty of passing, strategy, and overall action.
KP speaks facts all the time
After watching ep 65 I think it was of Kenny "Herman" Wallace podcast I understand a little better what Hamlin and Jordan are trying to do, If Nascar doesn't sit down and talk with these guys there's gonna be a big mess coming next season. I'm just sayn don't be too quick to dismiss Hamlin and rah rah root for nascar on this one. Unless you're into losing money youire not gonna plop down 50 k to start a race team just to go racing. What I hear from this and Jr.'s sister its a big hole you keep dumping money into just to get a race team and driver there's less and less incentive to do so and SOMETHING ain't right y"all. If there was a big wreck everyone would have said Denny was a genius. Strategy doesn’t work out sometimes
This is true.

NASCAR = The Godfather.... I'm gonna make em an offer they can't refuse!!!
Straight up Greed! When it comes to the charters, billionaires bitching with billionaires. I'm only speaking for myself but I could care less how they get paid. I just want to watch a damn race.
Great comment!
Definitely struggles on SS.
You are correct.
NASCAR sabotaged Denny’s car this week after he didn’t sign the charter agreement

You are not the nfl or nba and that’s what made your sport special through the years but nascar is bulling monoply that don’t give enough of money to the teams to begin with they take a more than they should and every one in that garage, but it’s too damn chickenshit say so good for Mj and Frontrow if a few other scared ash teams would do the same nascar can’t do it with out the teams it’s as simple as that

Just feel Kyle is a disservice to his dad. I understand the charter issues because nascar is a-hole. Bubba is mostly mediocre with a talent. He can't seem to get out of his own way. Not a fan of Hamlin, but couldn't understand his logic for the race. Fords are going to be a force throughout the playoffs. I don't care about manufacturers, I am just a Blaney fan. Watch for him to possibly repeat.
It could happen.
What’s the new revenue split?
If he doesn't reply will you pick another winner?
Yes.
Petty is stuck in the past. To win a championship you have to either point or win your way into the next round, and Denny had alot of points taken away due to the engine screw-up. Currently points are likely Denny's best chance to stay in, and since he didn't have a winning car points was the right choice.

Where do I start regarding the charter negotiations. NASCAR is the big bully in the room and the teams can only shop at the company store. It was not until the other 4 major sports entered into REAL revenue sharing with hard caps did they see their value go up consistently. Nascar are a bunch of narcissistic people who have the power and remind you daily that you inky get enough to shop at the store. There is NO WAY that a six hour review process that is mandated is done in good faith. Hopefully the courts will rule
Totally agree on the six-hour review process.
❤ I love anything Kyle Petty has to say , he's not afraid to say what's wrong
NASCAR would be well served to call last weekend the last deadline and move on from the Hamlin/Jordan/"silent partner" group. The sport is better without these disruptors. For the fan, NO GOOD can come out of having this hellbent-on-franchise group involved in the sport. Sorry, but it's getting pretty obvious this group is after nothing but a takeover of NASCAR.
