Pretty solid guitar all around for the price. I think you should include a ranking of all the guitars reviewed so far in this category at the end of each of this videos

Indian guitar , interesting. Not sure Id buy an indian made guitar, maybe in the future if more brands go there. How you would you compare the quality to the better Harley Bentons, the 550/Custom ? You havent got SC-DLX yet on the channel ;)

The hardware is better on the Bentons, but I think the wood is more interesting on the dean, and the pickup are really great for metal (eventhough the Tesla are pretty good too). I was not sure if I wanted to go for the SC DLX because of its 10" radius, but I guess I can give it a try. I've got 3 other videos already scheduled, and then I'll have this SC DLX coming home :)

I bought a vintage series Dean Cadillac made in India and it's top notch on every way ! The hardware and tuners and pickups are better in the vintage series though as they are $629 and this bolt neck Dean is $287 so there's a pretty big difference in dollars there but the more expensive ones are better.

well, its not mahogany, its "Eastern Mahogany" aka Nato aka Nyatoh. the same as epiphone and others... maybe the only ones stil using khaya are Prs Se, but you can´t be sure.

In this price range, most Epiphones are coming with a poplar body. Only one comes with a mahogany body (potentially Eastern Mahogany as well). Eventhough it's just eastern mahogany, it will sound different from Poplar or basswood and that's what I wanted to mention.

In my opinion I think the maple neck hurts these low-cost Deans guitars, I only like maple on strats or super strats guitars..

why would a maple neck hurt on a Dean and not on a Fender or an Ibanez ?

@@ToroKchannel I'm not used to a maple Neck on this Les Paul type guitars, but everything else seems a good guitar, good review by the way

Beautiful project guitar, the build quality is obviously O.K but the HB SC DLX Gotoh is in the same price range and is much better equipped, there is a lot of competition in this price range

If we're talking about distributor brand, the competition is really hard. Now those big brands have something to say as well eventhough the hardware will never be as good as on the SC DLX Gotoh :)

Les Paul style with bolt on neck = cheap shit. Might as well buy an Epi Les Paul 100 for half the price. Or better yet buy the Slash LP starter pack that comes with amp, cord, and gig bag for $329.00

I have just bought a B stock LTD EC-10 and it’s very far away from a cheap shit, eventhough it’s coming with a bolt on neck.

@@ToroKchannel the EC10 is a $200 guitar as compared to this Dean that retails for over $400
I had a JS series Jackson Monarch that had a bolt on neck and I can easily sing it praises. But, that's at the $200 price point that I paid at the time.
At $400 there are two many other options out there.....👎Dean.
