Can't help but hear subtle "Mountain Jam' teases in the Mr. Completely around the 1:39:00 mark. But that's probably because I live in GA and grew up on the Allman Bros, lol.
Born in Atlanta in ‘77 grew up in Snellville up towards Athens GA and have been in WNC/Asheville for almost 20 years now but I can agree the Georgia Allmans vibe is hard to shake it off ya but why bother just dig deeper with the whole Carl Radle > Tom Dowd Miami / Clapton > JJ Cale > Delaney/Bonnie rabbit hole!!! And if you exhaust that pursuit I’d recommend the Brian Eno Island records Bahamas recording studio where they recorded Talking Heads ‘Remain in Light’ and who they nabbed for some sessions that was living across the street to lay down some percussion tracks none other than Mr Robert Phunking Palmer!!! That iceberg is massive . It’s so stupendous, living in this Tube. Welcome aboard y’all !!
@@katzpdx True dat! I may be biased being from Seattle/Bellingham, and RR is my close second, but da Gorge hands down da best! I think there's a pretty good reason after one show they never stopped coming back!
@@scottitheyogichefwasn’t there a missing 411 kinda incident at the Gorge with a fan wandering off and later found/recovered days later and without explanation?? My sister went to Eugene she was a Duck many years ago but resides in Seattle and I’m going to try and visit her and hit a show at the Gorge one of these days…. somehow…. She and I are from Atlanta and I’ve been living in Asheville NC for almost 20 years now.. just got back from Alaska this past summer and I love the pacific NW just have not visited in about 30 years now lol .
I remember going to see a concert (Buddy Guy) at the Gorge in 1992 when it was so much smaller. It really is a stunning venue and though I now live on the east coast, I lived much of my life about 60 miles from there and love it. It started as just a winery with a concert venue!
You could bring your own cooler in .... it was super chill. Then it progressively got much tighter on rules rules rules. It still rules though. It was much smaller. First weekend phish played there they came out with law enforcement IN FORCE. Never seen anything like it. There were packs of deputies mobbing through the campgrounds grabbing whoever forgot to tie their shoes. The asshats. My van had a couple of hottie friends in it making bisketti after one of the nights and one of them has asthma.... she was coughing and my van got rushed by multiple deputards who harassed her about what she was coughing on. Inhaler in mouth and all. Crazy. They arrested 500 people that weekend. I am pretty sure it was all because Furthur Festival the year before some security guy choked hippy chick for something stupid and hippy chick's boyfriend twigged out on him and a few more security guards backed him up ..... then the family went live and a couple hundred heads let them know where they actually were at. This all happened literally 2o feet from where I was camped in the vw westie. They woke me up and I was front and center hahahhh. Security was shitting themselves and the handful of police were to ......somebody yelled DOSE THEM! And everybody cheered enthusiastically agreeing with the next assault on these 1o or so employees and police. They heard that and immediately turned tail and RAN out of the area .... gathered all of them and abandoned the campgrounds for the night. Back to normal for all us .... the only time we really cause problems is when they decide to try and give us one. But they were not happy and I think decided to put the boots to the group next time we were gathered there. Which was phishs first weekend. Only thing that made sense to me and others. Sorry for the book you just jarred a memory or three that I have not thought Bout in looong times. Thanks =]
...your cut instrumental pieces by Phish are the best, greetings from Germany and thanks.
I appreciate the compliment!

Everything Right indeed
Haven’t been to this venue yet,I’m an East coaster. It’s on my bucket list.
That's not a good enough excuse. It is truly the best outdoor venue in the country
I’ve been to alpine ,spac and red rocks, I’ll get there.
