It's certainly getting close to being the one. The clip on camera for the One Pro looks promising without the permanent cameras of the Ray-bans that upset people who don't like being possibly recorded all the time. I think the two problems still to be fixed are (1) the current need for the glasses to stick out so far from your eyes, which looks silly, and (2) the low FOV. So there's promising developments happening all of the time, and this is a nice step forward (particularly the built-in 3dof). Did the Ultras ever ship, with the 6d0f? I can't find any genuine reviews of them.
I would say it gets warm on the left side after a movie, but just at the touch, I didn't notice any heat from the front. Overall, not something I would consider a problem at all
@@Tyrielwood I've been using the air 2 pro for flights and it gets quite warm after a while which can be very annoying. I'll probably still get this one for many other reasons. 😃
I have bought the both and can tell you without a doubt that Viture is superior to Xreal, the Xreal are terrible, the screen edges are awful, resolution on both is only 1080p but the Viture one have a more clear sharper image, they aren't woth the $400 price, I may consider Viture again in the future if they increase the resolution, Xreal is out of my scope, they suck big time
I see that they have put the size of the micro LEDs back to 068 like the first xreal and this has solved the problem of the blurry edges... finally they understood it....!!!! in fact I immediately gave back the 2 versions xreal 2 and xreal 2 pro they were crap....!!!! and they also cost double...
Well think of it this way. Buying something like this right now, is definately considered an early-adopter's choice. Since this type of technology is so new, there are a lot of innovations that help improving the product. It just so happens that competition keeps pushing the bar higher and higher very quickly. If you think the product is worthwhile, then go ahead and buy it! However, if you want the best for your money instead, you may have to wait a few years. As an example, take a look at cellphones. Each year, apple keeps pushing new phones, but there just has to be a point where you consider whether getting something new is actually worth it. Another thing to consider is, would you rather have this new technology move at a slower pace, letting discovered problems pile up for the consumer, or have the technology constantly improve? Its all about how you think of it :))
These are portable monitors unfortunately and not VR glasses. It's just that they finally widened the FoV slightly to get widescreen as opposed to the originals 16x9.
I actually love this idea and been holding off on buying such a thing until its mature enough, im using all apple stuff, do you think i can use it with my macbook ? Is it useful, or is the screen too far for reading?
I feel like these still need a bit more polish but the addition of things like 3D compatibility makes me really hopeful for the future, just one or two more iteration and I may consider buying one of these
I have the Airs2 which I really like for gaming but the sound was terrible along with some latency and the wires running from the glasses to the beam, and another wire running to the device in use. I really would like to get the new Ones which dramatically improves on the sound and latency but $500 is steep.
yep, so much better better to see them blow up in full 3D and oled screens :P btw, you "can" use them in VR mode, but it's clanky and uses much more resources, I used to use the older ones emulating the head tracking and having the screen stuck to my face, for a very similar situation but higher res ( I hope it makes sense )
So far this seems like the biggest substantial upgrade from my Rokid Max glasses. The featureset makes it very tempting, but I may still hold out for HDR and/or VRR before I upgrade.
I don't think there is a point to having multiple monitors with this device if it does not have free head movement/6dof. You wouldn't be able to look closer to see the other screens.
important product IMO. More devices with USB-C output these days so a single simple pair of glasses adding the tracking without need of an accessory or more cables is important. I have the beam pro with the air 2 and thats required IMO - without tracking its not great. Having the tracking built in lets you use your own preferred apps on your own devices
I feel like I need to trial them first. From what I can tell they still seem to be situational use not everyday wear yet. Also like to see more reviews of how people are finding long term confort
god is there any reviewer that hasnt been sent a pair by XReal. I dont believe these reviews can possibly be fully unbiased. And judging by the tonnes of complaints on Reddit about terrible software on previous XReals I now take these reviews with a pinch of salt. Ill wait till the public release and read the real reviews on reddit. These videos are nice demos at most.
If they could leverage a phone for battery/compute/network and connect to PC via virtual Desktop I think they'd make a compelling case to make this first choice for many people. I've got this phone in my pocket, let me use it.. I'd probably print a strap to hold the glasses on better and hold my phone, for vr.
Well you’d need the controllers and inside out tracking for them to function (and the head tracking). I am not sure these do true 3D depth either. So definitely not with these but it doesn’t seem far off.
It takes a lot of work to setup, and it’s kinda janky, but yes you can on PC. The FOV is awful compared to a VR headset though (~50 degrees vs the ~110 degrees on the Quest), and some apps (like DeoVR) straight up do not work
Despite how much I’ve loved real glasses, they launch like two new models each year and I don’t see much difference between them, may be this has better sound quality and the new chip allows you to change display properties without the need of the beam, but it’s the same wearable monitor as the predecessors, I use my Air and Air 2 pro almost daily and love them but this is not a big improvement, adding 6 DoF or a wayfarer style nose pad (like the viture one) must be a bigger improvement
I am nearsighted with -1.75 and -0.75 prescription. With Quest 3 I don’t need glasses because the text isn’t sharp enough to need better vision. Quest 3 has a focus point about 1.3m away from what I have read, but I don’t know how these compare and further distance and smaller text will make it more challenging (especially as VR gaming doesn’t rely on reading text). So personally I would expect to need the inserts.
this is still so confusing to many models from so many manufactures,, this looks like it my you just said another version is coming out with wider fov 🤔🤨 ... can't wait until apple "invents " ar glasses 😆
The Goovis G3 Max seems to me to be superior in every way! But let's wait for the XREAL One Pro 😊🙏 (Let's see if the PRO version the display will be much closer to the eyes because for the moment these glasses are not there yet.)
1080p from 3 meters away on my 120" projector was insufficient. The pixel density, contrast, and vibrance of micro OLEDs AR glasses is closer to the image clarity of a 4K OLED panel. You should see it with your own eyes if you're in doubt.
You have to think about PPD , pixels per degree more than resolution, as res doesn't really tell the full story, as the fov is 50 degrees to start with
Is this the one?
Not without 6-DoF and rounded screen edge cut-off. The sharp angles of the Rectangular lenses make it jarring and unatural :/
Can you use it as a vr headset too?
like play vr games
I know the experience won't be similar to a proper vr headset but is it possible?

Visor seems better.
This is really cool, this is what I imagined the Meta Ray Ban was going to be.
I do see this as a very useful device for people who travel a lot.
how is the heat from the chip
Yeah, the old one gets really hot on your forehead after a while.

I've never had the opportunity to try the viture pro unfortunately

07:12 Does the 3D mode accept a 3840x1080 video signal to run both screens at their full resolution?
Yep!!
@Tyrielwood Thank you!
This concern me. Each year they launch a new one. Each year they get more features. Makes you not want to invest in any of them .
That’s with all electronics. Every year is a bit much.

meh u can just get one and upgrade it whenever it looks worth it to u
Just buy new one and sell old one!
Can you test it in car or bus while driving? Will the screens stay in place or move around?
The screen looks like 4m away?! I want a triple 27" 1440p setup 60cm away. Then we can talk about productivity.
I feel you. But we also need a truly portable pocket pc. I hope Framework is going to make one. It's such a shame we don't have Linux on DeX anymore.
You can zoom it in or out brother
I think the IPD setting will also change the screen distance?
Im interested how much difference the 57 degree fov of the one pro makes. It doesn't feel right getting something with less fov than my 2021 Quest 1.
These are portable monitors unfortunately and not VR glasses. It's just that they finally widened the FoV slightly to get widescreen as opposed to the originals 16x9.

is there any screen door with these? when looking through them do they appear like a 1080 or 4k tv?
Nope
How does the quality compare to the Quest 3 for watching video?
Same wuestion
Much better quality. Higher solution and better colors and contrast, also comfier, of course tho you don't get all the VR perks

Hi, IPD software adjusment works fine or just marketing?
it does change via software, tho I wish there were actual mm and not + 1 +2 +3 or -1 -2 -3 etc
@@Tyrielwood If it really works, maybe it will be more precise than the Xreal One pro
does it remember settings when you unplug it from power?
I don't see myself buying AR glasses, but thank you so much for keeping us up to date on the state of the art and pricing.
I have the original Nreal air…..do you think it’s worth it to upgrade?
I think so. I'm in the same boat. Our originals will break the arm hinge at some point as it's a design flaw.
Oh thats why mine broke @vlesmeries
When using with a laptop does it allow for 2 or 3 virtual monitors?
I don't think there is a point to having multiple monitors with this device if it does not have free head movement/6dof. You wouldn't be able to look closer to see the other screens.
Just one giant 3840 by 1080 curved ultra wide monitor
Can you make opacity and clarity test? I mean can you walk in side screen mode and see outside world clear enough to walk or run?
What about the confort ? I assume it’s a major selling point compare to VR Headsets like Quest…
Well, it's like a pair of glasses, so you forget about them
How is the drift in anchor mode?

I think it's time to upgrade my xReal Air 1 to the Pro version when it comes out.

It has to stay on, but you can use it as a touchpad
are they going to update nebula so that you can have more apps, so that previous xreal glasses can be used?
So is it a battery drainer on your phone? Using those glasses connected to your phone, does it drain your battery
