    i like your idea of using weighted streamers for fly fishing on a ultralight gonna have to do that sometime i love ultralight fishing and do alot of fly fishing as well

    • @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620
      @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620  Год назад +1

      Yeah I’m slowly transitioning to the fly world but I like the idea of being able to use a shorter rod to get in to tight quarters as opposed to being very clumsy I’m sure with a much longer fly rod in the tight areas that I fish predominantly! 🤙😁

    You should look into getting the Net Man by Lively Legz. That way your net is always clipped to your hip and easily accessible. I’ve tried every net gadget on the market and that thing is a game changer.

    • @LippytheLipRipper
      @LippytheLipRipper Год назад

      Lively Legs copied every other brand that created them before. I don’t know why they are acting like it’s their invention since last year when I’ve had an orvis one for over 5 years now…

    • @JP-dz7zu
      @JP-dz7zu Год назад

      @@LippytheLipRipper I’ve had the ones using magnets or retractors, nothing like this. I hate nets hooked to the back of a vest. Haven’t found anything as easy to use as that product. Plus it takes weight off your back. I haven’t seen anything from Orvis comparable.

    A creek like that here in north Georgia would have 50 people on it, trash everywhere, and MAYBE a few 9” stockers.

      @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620  Месяц назад

      I hear that…. That’s why I strive to keep my locations as secret as possible, I mean if someone recognizes one of my spots, then chances are they’ve already fished there & at that point hopefully they’re a like minded angler!! 🤷‍♂️🤞

    Bro you always crack me up, if I catch a fish that has lesions or ugly wounds I get grossed out and I'm like ugh, I don't want to touch that. I started out as a spinner fishing small creeks but moved almost exclusively to fly fishing a few years ago to get better but watching your videos I'm tempted to get the old lightweight shorty back out!

    Love your videos just started checking them and getting itch to do some winter fishing. Love the streamer on jig head. I tie jigs for steelhead, but never used the color of your streamer. What color or colors of Maribou do you use, gold, yellow or some combination? Do you put any flash in them? Thanks and keep the content coming

      @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620  Год назад

      Those are actually a repair…..the string that holds my basket in my net started to come loose and the more big fish I would catch the more my net would come loose almost losing several fish, so I took matters into my own hands with some small zip ties lol🤷‍♂️😜😂

    • @zmartin360
      @zmartin360 7 месяцев назад

      Same results?…….spin fisher is incredibly easier than fly fishing hands down. No line maintenance needed with spinning gear. you wouldn’t even get your streamer anywhere near some of those spots if you were using a fly rod, because if you could you would. Spinning gear is easier no debate, no question.
