Fatal1ty Shuts Out Zero4 in Quake 3 Tournament p2

QuakeCon 2002: Johnathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendel, plays John 'Zero4' Hill on a campgrounds. Being dominant as well at that time, Zero4 has quite a hard time doing anything in this match against Fatal1ty. He gets destroyed actually. This is Part 2. Enjoy!

it's watching games like this that make you appreciate just how much of a game of chess Quake 3 really is. I can never see more than one move ahead, the next encounter, but the pros, every encounter is part of a bigger battle, falling back and coming back prepared.... Just watching Fatal1ty's map control and powerup denial... it's beautiful.

Eerie how close the final score was to Thresh v Entropy on Quake e1m2 for Carmack's Ferrari. Match played out similarly too. Denial of items, quick recovery over pressing for the kill.

B+ players on ICCUP are better than SlayerSBoxer when he won back to back OSL's - doesn't make him a bad player either. Players will only get better as time goes on. Us "noobs" hype up this game because, back when we were watching this live, it was a rush the likes of which we had never felt before. In 2002, this was not only the best shooting in q3, but the best 1v1 decision making on dm6

No doubt they are both equally good players. But at least in 2001 fatal1ty managed to kill him when he was getting thrashed. But zero4 got outplayed big in this one.

Zero4 was having an off day. He thrashed fatal1ty in 2001 quakecon finals. Zero4 is undoubtedly better than fatal1ty

@zabijaq123 zero4 and fat both play quake live. search on youtube for "zero4 vs dkt" (destrukt) - its shoutcasted by jehar and greasedscottsman. zero4 makes a sick comeback. It's a fairly recent match.

@MrDevlance People play what they enjoy...And if they enjoy their games as much as you enjoy yours, what do you care?...Not to mention, there are still highly competitive games out there, and very good players of them...Especially in the fighting game genre...Gears of War 3 has an insane learning curve...The list goes on and on...And I'm 33 so I played through the 80s, 90s etc...Don't let NOSTALGIA blind you..BTW, as competetive as this match was, it's extremely dated to watch.
