I played Breloom for ORAS primarily for the False Swipe / Spore combo that rocks a playthrough - though the secret bases with PCs made these games ridiculously easy to play
Some things I wanna bring up with some members of the team: - Swellow doesn't really need Return if it's running Facade with Guts. If it has Guts, then I'd replace Return with U-Turn. If not, then replace Facade instead. - Here's my take with Breloom. If you're somehow running Technician, then I'd prefer using Bullet Seed, Mach Punch, Rock Tomb, and some other move to take advantage of it like Cut or Tackle. If you're running Poison Heal or Effect Spore, then Seed Bomb, Sky Uppercut, Rock Slide, and a move like Strength could work. The moveset you gave is good, though. I just like to plan ahead and take advantage of what I got. - Nothing wrong with Sharpedo's moveset at all, but the one thing I wanna say is have it run Waterfall in ORAS and Surf in RSE if no other Pokémon on the team can learn it.
@@cutthroat795 Maybe not, but you'd be surprised how a Technician-boosted Cut or Tackle is stronger than a Headbutt and almost as strong as Strength. So I thought it was good to bring up.
One of the most interesting Emerald teams that I used was Blaziken, Swellow, Manectric, Cradily, Absol, and Starmie. You get Starmie fairly late, but if you push onto Lilycove and do the New Mauville and Abandoned Ship sidequests, you can have Bolt-Beam right away to sweep Winona, and if you can get 3500 coins for the Mauville Game Corner, you can get a TM29 Psychic by this point too. I used Tentacool's Bubblebeam for Maxie and Flannery before I got Starmie. I didn't use Cradily or Swellow that often, but they could be useful in certain situations, and probably more useful in ORAS with the wider movepools. I would have preferred to use Flygon and Magneton though too.
I absolutely love emerald, but the thing I don’t like about it is that, out of all the games in the series, emerald is the game I feel like you have to grind the most
Honestly, I think if you want a ground type in gen 3, you can also use Trapinch (good luck to grind it though...) and evolve it in Flygon at lv 45. It has great stats and gets the Dragon type.
when ORAS came out i first used sceptile, sharpedo, camerupt, metagross (shiny event), salamence and medicham then on ruby i used blaziken, roserade, aggron, milotic, flygon, gardevoir third playthrough swampert, breloom, manectric, torkoal, bannette, altaria i loved being able to choose who i wanted to mega evolve with all the options and i did play the originals too
I’m currently playing Omega Ruby and my team is Sceptile, Sharpedo, Aggron, Altaria, Gallade, and Linoone. My rule is that I only use Pokémon from that region (Gallade is technically Gen 4 but not really).
In Emerald it's only good move is Flamethrower with no nasty plot, and in ORAS it's outclassed by other Fire types like Camerupt and Torkoal for either having better coverage or being able to take a hit better. It's like Why use Sceptile when Ludicolo, Vileplume, Breloom and Shiftry are superior in terms of Typing and Movepool
@@grantdaily9662 I'd actually consider using Ninetales in ORAS due to access to Dark Pulse and Extrasensory, but Blaziken or a Manectric running Flamethrower can do the job better.
@@xfdzfd4370 Extrasensory is an Egg move only obtained through breeding Nuzleaf and The Vulpix line, at that point just run Special Shiftry that has Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Extrasensory, Hurricane, Shadow Ball, Leaf Storm and Energy Ball all to it's name
@@grantdaily9662 wait doesn't Vulpix learn Extrasensory at Level 31 in ORAS? Although it really doesn't do any good for the rest of the main story so yeah you're right. Tbh, I never really used Fire in Hoenn if not Blaziken.
@@xfdzfd4370 wait yeah, weird it wasn't showing up for Ninetails. But still Shiftry would be better and there's countless fire types in Hoenne and Mirage spots that are way better
Imo graveler and especially golem are significantly better than camerupt. Sure they are slow, but so is camerupt and unlike the camel, they can tank hits well. Fire types unfortunately don’t have a place in hoenn unless you are blaziken.
Magneton with Eviolite or Magnezone (which is my 3rd favorite pokemon of all time) is slower but better. The reason is Steel. With all the resistances, it is hands down the BEST typing in the game. It also resists the 2nd and 3rd strongest (fairy and dragon, arguably in that order) and is super effective against Fairy. Magnezone is better.
@@kamentrainerhorn2073they most certainly do not have the same stats. Alakazam has 135 sp attack and is much faster than Kadabra with 120 speed, has better sp defense, etc.
@@ShadowFiend777 You’re right, but those changes are still marginal, given the already high stats that Kadabra has for a mid-stage ‘Mon. And, since this is an underrated team, Alakazam would be overqualified.
Thanks! Now I can work as an admin for both the evil teams
Oh? Trying to get closer to Shelly-sempai? *I* would!
@@zacharyjoy8724 you should be locked up
As someone who plays emerald about once a year it makes me happy that this channel is still making hoenn videos
I can confirm Magnezone is available pre-Elite Four. I used one in ORAS.
I can also confirm this for the same reason.
You, sir, are quite worthy of being in Team Steel for confirming this for us.
Keep up the good work.
Is Magnetite quite late game? Can't get it outside of New Mauville

Magneton always knows lock on and zap cannon. For the memes.

Strength does more even including technician than both cut and tackle
There is no reason to use cut or tackle with technician 😂

Camerupt/Mega Camerupt in game ORAS can shred. I used it in my first playthrough of Omega Ruby, with few difficulties.
I always liked Camerupt, even in the original games.
I just saw your video about HGSS and this video now, your voice pitch shifted hard, glad you came a long way with your confidence in your vids
Always found Spoink/Grumpig a worthy addition in Hoenn, being found at a reasonable point and being a solid psychic type all things around.

Buy? You can run oras on emulators
@@confederatetearsaredelicious ORAS is also one of the few Pokemon games that isn't over $70 so shut up. Some people prefer to play on their 3DS

Did you realize that this is an entire team of 2nd stage mons? Yeah, most of them are 2 stage lines, but still.
Glad you'll never run out of videos
Please do a hoenn best team remastered! Even if it ends up being the exact same, putting it with you modern formatting would be amazing!
I am liking your vids lately mate. Cheers.
Man..for ORAS I used the Three Starters, Latios, Celebi and Hoopa Unbound.
Thanks to DexNav chaining in ORAS, you can get a Hidden Ability Shroomish, then evolve it into a Technician Breloom!
I just played AS with a barnyard team. Naturally, other than Tauros, when fully evolved they looked nothing like farm animals 😅
I've already used Sharpedo on my teams... He's a beast!!! Swellow is great as well... My starter is always Mudkip

Are you gonna do a 2nd best team for the other regions ?
Breloom the underrated goat
Man everyone always talks about swelliw here me and pelipper 😂
Rock polish instead of curse camerupt is a nasty sweeper
What starter do you recommend we use for early game?
You can use swampert as it's the best, and also you can use grumpig too if you don't like using an unevolved Pokemon
Flygon deserves to be on a team
I'm playing Emerald rn and Flygon is on my team and is actually my strongest Pokémon. Just finished Victory Road!
Breloom can't learn Rock Tomb in Gen 3.
That's awesome ❤
How do you finish the game when none of your dudes have the HMs?
I wonder if he has HM slaves? But, you’ve got a point.
I used almost all of these in Sapphire
No way my bby breloom getting love❤️ love that Pokémon so much
