Everytime I go home to PH I always stop at this cemetery to say thank you for the brave soldiers who pay the ultimate price and always have teary eyes all the time.
I’ve been commenting to some American vloggers before they go back to hear home country they should visit this American cemetery. They’re our REAL HEROES..
Admiration and respect to the content creator paying homage to the heroes. In the meantime, we are still waiting for "Brian the lion" a BGC resident vlogger to do the same... maybe one of these days...
A lost soldier is never lost. He is remembered everyday as we continuously enjoy the freedom we have. Never take for granted the ultimate sacrifice a person can do for love of country and duty . They are our heroes the pride of every nation. I have so much respect to any soldier. The families also pays the price everyday as their beloved ones are no longer with them.Never take for granted. Freedom is not free. ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful really, my GrandUncle, a veteran, was part of the USAFFE, in Bataan, he survived the war, but he always said how it affected him when one of his men made the ultimate sacrifice, while fighting, during those times, and I grew up knowing that some of these men fought side by side with him.
Forever indebted to these greatest generation’s bravery and sacrifices for which afforded me to thrive in freedom to live in the greatest exceptional country as a Filipino-American over half a century!
It made me cry watching this video knowing that all those people died for my country and my liberty. Thank you can't be enough to pay for the lost of lives.
This is making me emotional. We as a society now and in the future should never forget how much we owe these men, a debt we can never repay. I was raised by a ww2 vet , my uncle, my mother's oldest brother so this is a big deal for me
Wait until you get there to the Visitor Center. I was bursting in tears after I realized how young most of them are. The guy next to me looked at me and quickly got it .
Seen the place a few times I've been to BGC and can't help but to be humbled by the selfless acts of all heroes. I will continue to give my gratitude. The States Seal walk alone is a remarkable experience.
Filipinos appreciate all of the sacrifices by the American soldiers did on World War 2.. along with Filipinos who fought on war against the Japanese, the entire nation has a high respect for the bravery that American soldiers had done to defeat the Japanese soldiers.. from the bottom of our hearts, thanks to all of our American brothers.. May you all rest in peace with our God from Heaven.. 🙏
Thank you for sharing this with us. That is an absolutely beautiful memorial to our American servicemen. Respect and gratitude for the heroes who fought and died for America and the Philippines, and also for those who preserve the pristine condition of this cemetary.
I'm not sure why this video was recommended on my feeds but hey I enjoyed watching. I live in the Philippines but havent been there. I just realized that the heroes cemetery was so peaceful, beautiful and organized. I enjoyed your tour. Keep safe
On your next trip here, try visiting Corregidor Island in Bataan for more historic WW2 experience. So many things to see there. And while in Bataan, you might as well visit Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a historic resort with around 40 original Spanish-Filipino Colonial structures that have been moved (dismantled and rebuilt) there.
Thank you very much for the location recommendations 😊 I truly appreciate it. I plan on seeing these areas and much more on my next trip back to Philippines 🇵🇭 which will be very soon.
Forever in debt and Grateful! Salute to these Brave and American soldiers of World War Two who gave their precious life for the defense and freedom of the Filipino nations. May Perpetual light shine upon you and may you rest in Peace k!
My father was supposed to be among these fallen heroes but fortunately survived the infamous Bataan Death March. He served with the USAFFE (United States Air Force Far East). He is now interred at a US Veterans Cemetery abroad,
My grand uncle did not survived the Death March. Until the last days of his parents lives, it still brought them enormous pain. Salute to you lolo Otilio.
A sacred place, gave me goose bumps. I have a unit block away from SM Aura. but had no chance to explore BGC when lockdown happened. Next time I go to Manila, I wanna visit this historical place of significance event and pay homage to all these heroes. Thank you, fgreat content.
The names on the wall are the (Missing) except for the asterisk besides the name that remains have been found. There are many remains to this day that have not been found.
That is why it is so disrespectful to the USA if any country would dare to invade Philippines, our freedom is gained from by their blood and our forefathers fought together, it is taught in schools at early age,, no amount of donations from other country can buy out America in terms of bond to Filipinos because we have a culture of saying, Utang ng Loob/Debt of Gratitude,
So many Unknowns meant the fighting was so bad that they couldn't identify so many of the bodies - I often see on vet podcasts what guns like .50 cals does to the human body. Been there a couple of times with friends to help look for their relatives among the dead. I've never seen a lawn more immaculately kept anywhere else and goes to the level of care.
When an artillery round hits u or comes CLOSE to hitting u.....u become VAPORIZED & so your body can never be found. U become MIA or MISSING in action. An unknown soldier.
I’m going to visit that cemetery next year! Traveling frogman, check the cemetery in the former Clark Air Force Base, Angeles Cty, Pampanga. You by chance Navy Seal?
Oohhh remember that this is in BGC but there also huge American Cemetery in Angeles Pampanga it was also well keep and maintain and thank you for your time to pay respect in this unfaithful and remarkable history thank to those fallen heroes without them and the advance technology we are nothing thank to the knowledge you provide and the freedom that i enjoy today
@travelingfrogman Province of Pampanga is where the former US Clark Air Base used to be. Then, on the western part of the same big island of Luzon facing the West Philippine sea is the former US Subic Naval base in Zambales.
My grandfather was an officer in the USAFFE He survived the Bataan Death March and he was able to escape to freedom when they arrived at Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija later becoming a guerilla fighter.
I just went here to visit my grandpa when i visited the PH. Im slightly annoyed that the grass was overgrown and not kept up with in the section he is buried at.
It's nice to see foreign vloggers coming to the Philippines, showcasing something significant. I wish more people would look into what made the Philippines for what it is today, and this is a big part. Our soldiers are never forgotten wherever our soldiers may be because we're enjoying the freedom they paid for. Thank you.
Seeing this and thinking of the Russian forces burning the faces of dead North Korean soldiers beyond recognition, their supposed allies at present is making me emotional. The present trajectory is pointing to more wars . . . God Bless us all. ❤

There is no remains there. All are the just names of soldiers who died in the war in the Philippines during WW2 but remains are not found.
