The usage of Sundowner's weapon is honestly genius. I'm betting you can get an S with any weapon but the machetes let you skip so many of the debris cutting phases by just absolutely assblasting Monsoon.
You can do this with the fully charged unsheathe attack as well. If you have a fully upgraded murasama that one will take away 15 to 20% of his hp away.
For those wondering, Monsoon screams for you to stop either when you make a sudden comeback when you had low performance, or had Near perfect perforamance

Only if you either A: Get an insane comeback at the end and start beating his ass, or B: Perfect him and get S rank. Raiden can even make nihilist scared for their lives
Just did this and it didn’t register as no damage because I died once instead of restarting from the checkpoint. Took me 5 years on and off to do this and it still didn’t give me the s rank/ no damage trophy. For the past hour I have been grinding the blu Ray of this game in the garbage disposal in a futile attempt to give back the pain it caused me for almost half a decade.
Restarting after dying doesn't affect the no damage bonus. Are you sure you didn't get damaged by his smoke granades (yep, those do damage). And even if dying once stops you from getting the bonus, just select restart on the pause menu after dying and it will count as if it was your first attempt.

That strat at the start to force a perfect parry to hit is awesome, I really wish I thought of it for my nohit. I managed to skip every other part of the fight, but wasn't able to skip the start
Upgrading health becomes useless in Revengeance since most enemy attacks would 1 shot you, so all you need to get is dmg as much as possible for higher ranks

For example, in this video, Miduki barely gives Monsoon a chance to attack outside of scripted attacks and those blasted moments when he jumps out of reach.
+HOTHEAD I believe you just have to get A-rank or higher. The reasoning being that even if Monsoon loses he's happy enough for Jack to become a rampaging killer (passing on his "meme") and calmly offers his life, but if you get A+ Jack has proven himself so terrifying in combat that Monsoon loses his composure.

the Sia has a built in Cooldown for its Stun and locks you out of any useful heavy attacks i didnt fiogure the wig would be necessary thos since youir in perma ripper mode for this fight and you cna do the scripted attacks jsut fine even without it@@Prince__Teclis

You cannot use any items that exploit his weakness (No grenades to stun him) 2. You must get an A or S rank. So yes, you may have gotten an S rank, but if you used any grenades during the fight to stun him, he won't tell you to stop.
There's so much conflicting information. I've seen others say they got the "Stop it" line without doing one of those or both. I myself have seen this line thrice (I'm on my 5th playthrough) and I've used EMPs for all those fights.
If you kill him fast enough he says "no stop, STOP!" because he isn't satisfied enough, but when you take your time he says "do as you please" as he knows he experienced the ultimate jack the ripper
I swear I got no damage and it still gave me C rank. I didn't get hit by a single thing, I monitored my health after every blade mode QTE. The only thing I can think of doing wrong was that I relied solely on the Sundowner weapon, so I may have not gotten points for combos or BP.
I really feel bad for Monsoon for his final line because from the way he says it, you can tell he's afraid of Jack. Just imagine that you, fighting face to face with a dangerous maniac, use all your strength and still cannot inflict a single blow on him...

Something that particularly annoyed me during this fight were the red phosphorus bombs he throws at you, if you're too close you get damage no matter what

Idk if its a glitch or something but during the final part of the fight if you reopen the game and load on that checkpoint then you can get an s rank in 30 seconds if you chop monsoon up multiple times and then you get a s rank

This would be way better if he used the smoke grenades instead of tossing choppers for half the length of the level
