  • Welcome to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri... if you're traveling here, this is a must - you can't complete a visit to St. Louis without visiting the arch .. or going to the top! the tickets are inexpensive, you get 10 minutes on top (you enter in a large group, each group is assigned a tram car/ elevator ).. you go up together and then back down together. 10 minutes on top is more than enough to take in the views, the arch, snap pics, etc.
elevator ride is 4 minutes up and 3 minutes back down - the space is tight but we were fine during our ride. The arch does have 2 trams to go up/down from (we went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy so only the north tram was operating).
On the main floor you'll find a museum with history of the arch, the land, etc., also a souvenir store and a cafe (including restrooms).
overall, we enjoyed our visit, the kids had fun -- another item checked off our bucket list!
    thanks for watching!

Love the video! 😍Thank you for visiting us and showing your viewers what the Tram Ride to the Top experience is like! So cool that you came on a fun day and got to feel the slight sway of the Arch when at the very top. The Gateway Arch was designed to move as much as 18 inches in 150 mile per hour winds and it can withstand an earthquake. It takes a 50-mile an hour wind to move the top 1 1/2 inches each side of center. Hope you can come back again next time you're in the Midwest!

Thanks for having us! We enjoyed our visit and loved everything about it (especially that sway due to the wind- not for everyone lol but I enjoyed it ! )

Ah, the Gateway Arch, a marvel of modern architecture symbolizing the pioneering spirit of the American West. Its sleek stainless steel design and graceful curvature reflect both the technical prowess and artistic ingenuity of its creators. Truly a symbol of innovation and progress in the heart of the Midwest.

Hey TKL Family. I can't believe your daughter is talking now. Time is flying. It looks like you guys almost had the arch to yourselves. It was extremely hot when we visited and so many people. We didn't get to take a tour or a ride to the top as they were sold out. Thanks so much for showing us what it was like. Always wondered what the ride up was like, lol I kept saying it looks so small. 4Mins omg.

Hi! Always a pleasure reading your comments! Yes, she’s 2 now , time is flying !! It was nice having the arch to ourselves , we visited 8 years ago and it was super crowded - definitely worth visiting during the weekday outside of peak hours . Great experience
      Hope you guys are well!
