- This channel introduces the beautiful scenery of Japan.
This time, it is Kamikochi in Nagano Prefecture.
Kamikochi is a scenic spot in the upper reaches of the Azusa River (about 1,500 meters above sea level) in Nagano Prefecture (southern part of the Hida Mountains). It is part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park and is designated as a national cultural property.
It is a place where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the four seasons and the natural environment.
The refreshing breeze, the murmuring of the river, and the chirping of birds will soothe your mind and body, and purify your soul.
It is also popular as a base for mountaineering and trekking, with many hiking courses and mountain trails. There are courses for different levels, from beginners to experienced climbers. When visiting, be sure to prepare clothes and equipment that are appropriate for the weather and season.
Private cars are regulated in Kamikochi throughout the year.
Private cars (including motorcycles) must use a shuttle bus or taxi from each parking lot due to traffic restrictions from Kama Tunnel.
