Very true…that’s what made old school horror movies (especially the ones from the 1970’s) so good…a lot of younger people who are used to slasher-type movies nowadays with gore 5 mins or less into the movie complain that old school horror movies are too long, etc. But that’s part of what makes them so wonderful and eerie. Often there was no action until 1 hour and a half into the movie but it was spent fleshing out the characters and immersing us in the world of the movie (Ridley Scott’s movies are some of the ones that do this best). We need more content like this.

It was like it was contemplating whether to take it, kill it, and or eat it. 11:46 the babies reaction was actually quite funny, the infant looked like at the raptor like it was thinking, ‘Who the hell are you and what on earth are you doing here?’. The child was frozen with fear, rather than just crying straight away it stayed still, scared stiff at the sight of the velociraptor, amazing job on that detail, most people would just have made it so the baby cried when they saw the velociraptor, but this reaction was way more effective, good job bro, I think you cooked with this one!

Excellent work. While there were areas that the AI seemed to struggle with model consistency, in the broad scope of what you make, those little details are insignificant. Especially considering how much it does to expand the world you are telling your story in. And what a story, to see the "hupia" in a light true to Crichton's original work. Darker, quieter, embracing the horror. Fantastic!

@@ali-awada There is certainly a learning curve when trying new things in art no matter the tool, and you handle that curve admirably. I remember at the beginning of Sorna, you mentioned that you were still learning with Blender back then. I was already impressed, and have only felt more so! Experiment a success, I would say. Even with the (very minor) bumps in the road, the video as a whole was such a pleasure to watch. The narrative was clear and concise, the atmosphere appropriately moody, and certainly a demonstration of the time and effort you have put into learning the programs you use, and the raw talent you have.

On the one hand what Ali does is what Jurassic Park should be, and as a lifelong fan the things I imagined Ali puts on the screen. Trust me, when you continue to do amazing things and go where you want to professionally, wherever that is, you’ll have us supporting you all the way.
Now, oh wow! This was an incredible story. First off, the wind. The wind was an incredibly well-placed and utilized component. I got chills when that gust materialized in the baby’s bedroom!! So smart to use something as common as wind and turn it into what you did. This is a prime example of why you have such a dedicated following.
The close up on the young girl’s face in bed and the tears falling as the scene progressed! Ugh. You understand the progression of fear.
There is more to being afraid than screaming and running. Horror movies can be tiresome when all you have are jump scares and chase scenes. You identify the subtleties when lives are taken over by an all-encompassing evil.
You didn’t waste the setting. You showed the effects of the Hupia on the town and so very well showed why uttering that word is taboo.
