- Overnight camping at Galaxy Drive-In Theater in Ennis, Texas. I was so happy to find out this place was on the Harvest Host network! Grab some snacks, watch a movie, and spend the night right there :-)

Hi Kristy I did spend the night there in October of 2023. I had just gotten into Texas from a long drive. Didn’t really watch the movie because I fell asleep. It was a cool place to stay I would do it again if I am ever in the Ennis area.

That’s what I thought too!!! I can’t wait to do it again when I can just open up the big van door and watch that way (of course, after I get my big screens lol).

@TinyTexanAdventures Yes going to Dogwood. Then off on Monday to get to Kaufman for the solar eclipse April 8. If we are super lucky it won't be raining.

Lubbock has a drive in wondering if they do this also have a drive in at San Marcus, I would be interested in a met and greet.
I just did a quick search and I didn’t see them, but it would be worth checking into it further for sure!! Ok I’ll see what I can come up with for a meet and greet :-)
@@TinyTexanAdventures the couple that owns those two driving in are really nice people that do some donations to our car club he might not even be aware of doing something like that. Worth checking.

Was the only reason you could stay was because of harvest host? Like if you don’t have harvest, was there a flat fee to stay overnight?

@itsrumplestiltskin it’s looking like fall now with the summer temps already on the rise and no electricity connections for people to run a/c. I’ll definitely update when I get a date nailed down :-)

You have my dream van,, but I’m concerned about gas mileage 🫤
I get better gas mileage than I did when I was pulling my Casita. Flat straight highways up to 20mpg. In bad head winds and hills I hit around 14.5 mpg but that puts an average around 17-18. Casita average was 15-16 depending on conditions.
