Mr. Rhodes, this was a great vlog! So happy to watch Jonah taking on responsibility and being so proud of himself! Seeing you with that snake definitely increased my heart rate. You are my oldest son's age. Oh how I wish that he had chosen the noble life of a farmer rather than an addict. 😢

I am continually impressed with Jonah and his work ethic. My grandson is the same way they both just seem to totally enjoy what they do and always ready to do something without being told. Rare today.
Just a tip from an older slower guy we use a cheap fish net with a handle for catching chickens males it pretty easy.
Praying for your surgery to go well and a speedy recovery. Keep up the good work.

The wood up against the house is also a bad idea for snakes./termites. There is a reason the "woodshed" is always built quite a distance away from the house. And please...no more snakes, they give me the shivers.

It's great to see how well everyone is doing! If I can make a suggestion, spend 5 minutes to make an auto-waterer from a five-gallon bucket with a lid, and some chicken water emitters that you can buy online or at the feed store. It is so inexpensive, it's much easier to refill, and you never have to clean the nasty water dish again. The water stays clean, and there is way less evaporation, too. If you want to get really fancy, you can even add a pvc pipe with a cap to top of the bucket lid to make it fillable with the hose without opening the bucket. Our birds love this, and I love only having to fill their bucket once a week or less. Even if you had to fill it daily, it's still such a time-saver (plus no more yuck to clean out).

Hi there. I sure hope your oral surgery goes well. I just had mine three weeks ago. Is taken a little while to heal and I still have a ways to go. Please be sure not to lift and carry and push as much as you usually do. You won’t get a sore back but your gums will throb. Take care.

One thing with peas, cut the top but leave the roots! They are like clover the roots make nitrogen capsules on their roots! And you want that left in your garden soil! 👍🏻 I hateeee snakes! Even if they are good to have around our gardens! 😬

Our first year, we waited til Thanksgiving to butcher our turkeys.. well, our Tom was 54 lbs! He wouldn't fit in our oven, so we took him and had him smoked. The butcher who smoked him was so impressed he called over all his workers to see our giant . We had to butcher a hen for Thanksgiving. Her breast slices were 12 inches across!!!

make a snake stick with heavy rope placed into a pvc pipe then make a knot not to move through the pipe , is half the length of rope and room for a loop for the snake , thread the the other half of the rope back through the pipe. then the loop placed of the snake head and pull the rope to tighten up to the knot. can carry or drag snake away.

With broad breasted white turkeys, if you control feed and let them graze they won’t reach 50 lbs until about eight to ten months. I used to raise them for 4-h and kept them on grain strictly and never had a bird weigh more than 30lbs, I’d get them in the first week of April and the last week of August they’d get butchered.
