I was making orange juice and dropped everything when I got the notification Hey Justin I am 13 and you have truly inspired me to start a homestead I have a lush garden and 8 chickens and I really want to live the life you live.
Jonah is learning so much working with Randall - the tree fort is going to be epic!! I love watching and learning from your channel, there is always something to improve on the homestead.
Happy snake with all those eggs in him.... Love how the kids just all jump in to help with the build. Hope all went well with the surgery.. Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻
Awe, Lily reminds me of me when I was young. I use to draw Little House on The Prairie towns. Lol. Hope your surgery goes well and you are not in too much pain.
Mr. Rhodes, this was a great vlog! So happy to watch Jonah taking on responsibility and being so proud of himself! Seeing you with that snake definitely increased my heart rate. You are my oldest son's age. Oh how I wish that he had chosen the noble life of a farmer rather than an addict. 😢
That snake has to be moved a pretty good distance away so it doesn't come back. I'm thinking it needs to go to Texas. Lol. Have a blessed and safe weekend.
I am continually impressed with Jonah and his work ethic. My grandson is the same way they both just seem to totally enjoy what they do and always ready to do something without being told. Rare today. Just a tip from an older slower guy we use a cheap fish net with a handle for catching chickens males it pretty easy. Praying for your surgery to go well and a speedy recovery. Keep up the good work.
You know it, if it has to do with building, you main man is going to be there. He has such a thirst for information on building at such a young age. He rocks. Well they all do but I love watching them discover their passion. Good luck on surgery. As always that's for sharing your family
Thank you for being a break from everything going around in the world, shit is hitting harder than ever these days. I need this more than you could imagine.
Rhodes Family, It has been a Addictive Adventure watching you! I’m admiring your whole Fam taking charge. Your children have grown and they are awesome, F.F.A indefinitely. Thanks 🙏
The wood up against the house is also a bad idea for snakes./termites. There is a reason the "woodshed" is always built quite a distance away from the house. And please...no more snakes, they give me the shivers.
I just love you and your family. If everybody lived like you do, there would be no war, no divorce, no famine. People are afraid of "hard work" but they go to their office or factory job and are tired and miserable; whereas this work is enjoyable, sustainable and rewarding. God bless you guys.
It's great to see how well everyone is doing! If I can make a suggestion, spend 5 minutes to make an auto-waterer from a five-gallon bucket with a lid, and some chicken water emitters that you can buy online or at the feed store. It is so inexpensive, it's much easier to refill, and you never have to clean the nasty water dish again. The water stays clean, and there is way less evaporation, too. If you want to get really fancy, you can even add a pvc pipe with a cap to top of the bucket lid to make it fillable with the hose without opening the bucket. Our birds love this, and I love only having to fill their bucket once a week or less. Even if you had to fill it daily, it's still such a time-saver (plus no more yuck to clean out).
Hi there. I sure hope your oral surgery goes well. I just had mine three weeks ago. Is taken a little while to heal and I still have a ways to go. Please be sure not to lift and carry and push as much as you usually do. You won’t get a sore back but your gums will throb. Take care.
Could y’all discuss natural pest repellant. Anything that can help with pests and when and how to prune tomatoes? I didn’t even realize that was a thing til Al Lumnah and Becka did theirs. Thanks! Love y’all!
Love how your daughter just walks bare foot in the chicken coop! Reminds me of when I wore my flip flops in our coop after it rained and my flip flop got stuck in the mud. I walked out of it and landed bare foot in mud and kept doing what I needed to with the chickens.
Pulling my peas today, too. My garden is nowhere near as large, but it's time to make room for the beans and more salads (lettuce, pak choi, and mache).
Growing up my parents raised the white turkeys... biggest one we had was 34lbs, cleaned out weight. A friend of the family grew a turkey that was 42lbs cleaned out. They were so massive!
One thing with peas, cut the top but leave the roots! They are like clover the roots make nitrogen capsules on their roots! And you want that left in your garden soil! 👍🏻 I hateeee snakes! Even if they are good to have around our gardens! 😬
Yes! It's funny I got to talking about what the doctor and nurse were talking about which was the movies John Wick and Bill and Teds Excellent adventures. LOL. That's literally the only thing I remember for 30 minutes after surgery. We'll see in today's vlog.
I would like to suggest that chickens and turkey could use some small course sand or real small gravel help gizzard grind food for digesting know they on pasture but not seeing access to grit supply
Our first year, we waited til Thanksgiving to butcher our turkeys.. well, our Tom was 54 lbs! He wouldn't fit in our oven, so we took him and had him smoked. The butcher who smoked him was so impressed he called over all his workers to see our giant . We had to butcher a hen for Thanksgiving. Her breast slices were 12 inches across!!!
I had one of those turkeys as a pet until Thanksgiving. His name was tank. When he was harvested he weighted 57 lbs dressed. Needless to say we had to quarter him to get him to fit in the oven
Before long Justin you just be able to turn the farm over to your oldest one there and he'll be running things for you I have seen every video you guys have made and they those boys come a long ways and they know just what to do to very respectful kind you raised a wonderful beautiful family Justin you and Rebecca should be proud God bless you and your family honey
But, where did the snake go? Will it eat them young chicks? Praying you are doing well tonight from your oral surgery Stay safe and God bless you my friends. 🌱🐐🐓🐄🐷🌱
Your oldest is one heck of a hand!!! They are all really good but joesiah reminds me of myself!!! I hope my kids are half as good as yours you have diamond's sir!!
Wow I am first on a Justin Rhodes video, just keep a burlap bag around that way you can transport them without harm to you or them. Keep up the good work....
That's what I had planned to do tonight, but the weatherman is predicting severe thunderstorms, so I don't want their first night in the big coop to be traumatic. God Bless! Carmen
make a snake stick with heavy rope placed into a pvc pipe then make a knot not to move through the pipe , is half the length of rope and room for a loop for the snake , thread the the other half of the rope back through the pipe. then the loop placed of the snake head and pull the rope to tighten up to the knot. can carry or drag snake away.
With broad breasted white turkeys, if you control feed and let them graze they won’t reach 50 lbs until about eight to ten months. I used to raise them for 4-h and kept them on grain strictly and never had a bird weigh more than 30lbs, I’d get them in the first week of April and the last week of August they’d get butchered.
Jonah is such a go getter! Learning all kinds of trades! He will definitely succeed in whatever he chooses to do in life.
I was making orange juice and dropped everything when I got the notification

“Lamb”-orghini 😂 that dad joke is the best I’ve heard in a long time! Well done good sir 👏🏽

Randaph seems like an awesome carpenter!
TYVM 🦋🐓🦋Justin Rhodes & family. Always enjoy watching caring for your Chicken's & Turkey's 🦃
Happy snake with all those eggs in him....

Hope all went well with the surgery..
Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻
Good luck on your surgery and getting rid of the snake before it gets the chicks. Cheers from Sydenhan, Ont., Canada

Your kids are growing and your farm has come so far. It's a beautiful farm, something to sit back and really be proud of.
The hardest working family I’ve ever seen
I’ve been waiting. Perfect timing Mr. Rhodes. Love the family!
I am continually impressed with Jonah and his work ethic. My grandson is the same way they both just seem to totally enjoy what they do and always ready to do something without being told. Rare today.

Josiah is getting a free apprenticeship from Randolph, how cool !
Man Jonah is the man. Good job young sir!
Oh wow, Lilly is going to have amovie theater in her house? That is right girl, dream BIG.
The view of your farm is just beautiful, well maintained and tidy....
I've never heard of a "grass-fed turkey." Sounds yummy. I love turkey.
Rhodes Family,
It has been a Addictive Adventure watching you! I’m admiring your whole Fam taking charge. Your children have grown and they are awesome, F.F.A indefinitely.
Thanks 🙏
Love that!
Dont know why im very enjoying watching your video about your animal and your lovely family so blessed 🙏😊
So nice of you

I love your family, y’all rock! North Carolina is gorgeous.
another idea I had was for the heavy metal wheeled pin. To use a winch connected to a post to help you move it across the pasture.
May your surgery go smoothly and your healing quick and drama free.
Well, I also had a sheep named Justin (Justin of Morgan. From Vermont. :) )
I look forward to your videos every day

I hope your surgery went well! Lamb-borghini awesome dad jokes justin 😂
Tzarziki is normally mint, but dill would be nice too. + a squeeze of lemon.
Good luck with your surgery, hope all goes well 🙏
Oh, I loved the chicken moves. But the snake was no little thang!! Always a variety of work at the Rhodes farm. 👍😺💖
You got that right!
Hi there. I sure hope your oral surgery goes well. I just had mine three weeks ago. Is taken a little while to heal and I still have a ways to go. Please be sure not to lift and carry and push as much as you usually do. You won’t get a sore back but your gums will throb. Take care.
we use a butterfly net ( for smaller chicks) and a fish landing net for larger chickens- saves your back and a whole lot of energy and time
I hope your surgery went well and you are feeling better soon Justin!
Its 02:00 still awake waiting for this video ❤ (let me grab the popcorn 🍿)

Get some number nine wire about 4’ long. Bend a crook in the end. Use it to catch chickens by the leg. Like a shepherds hook.
One thing with peas, cut the top but leave the roots! They are like clover the roots make nitrogen capsules on their roots! And you want that left in your garden soil! 👍🏻 I hateeee snakes! Even if they are good to have around our gardens! 😬
Hope your surgery went well today Justin. Thanks for another great video. 👌
Isn’t that a dance....the chicken shuffle! ? Should be!
Oh yuk another snake!!Good job on the move!!!😃💜
We put golf balls or ceramic eggs in the nests, always works.
I would've been freaking out about the snake.
Great family, Wife looking gorgeous, kids are rocking it. Many lessons learned from a loving husband that you are.
Your family and your home it is amazing 👪👌💐🏡
You did it, but l hope that the snake doesn’t come back! 👍👍👍💯💯💯
Long handled big fish net :) makes catching chickens in the evening a bit easier. Shoot makes catching any bird easier anytime of day.
Loving the videos. Keep it up.
Greetings from the UK
Hoping to some day start my own farm one day
Love watching Justin. You keep me motivated 🥰
A wash rag does great to clean the waters. I do it with all my water cups
Could you get one of those snake claw to hold the one you see and transfer them to a sack for release far away in nature?
Yes please.
Looks like the peas protected the cucumbers nice!
Good morning Justin and Family!
Cheers from Tokyo
Stu
Great video
Oh My! I had a sheep named Lamborghini!!! hahahaha.
You need one of those snake catcher sticks ( I know that's not the name)! Theres no way I'd reach my hand anywhere near those snakes. Yikes!
Thank you for your content. Great job. I enjoy your family. I enjoy learning new things.
Awesome! Thank you!
You guys are so amazing. I hope your surgery goes well!!🙂
Great job, hope everything goes good on Saturday.
I personally do not like ASMR but I think we need a farm ASMR video haha! love the vids keep them up!
If you’re under anesthesia that footage would be hilarious

Maybe, if you put a door over the nesting box space, you could keep predators out of your eggs.

Spreading dry garlic or shallot skin around chickens net help to avoid
Snakes
UGGGGGGGG I hate snakes! That's the third one this year so far!
Hi Justin, I've been trying to figure out what are sea monsters and lucidores?
Lamb-ourghini 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Meanwhile I'll be microwaving pre grilled chicken strips with Frank's Buffalo sauce from KT. Lol Where's the KT folks at?

Might be time for that snake to go. 🪓 Second time I’ve seen you remove one. Both time with eggs.
So I take it you are not a Snake guy, if it's not venomous don't be Afraid. Just remember to grab them from the back of head.
Love y’all 💜🧡💛💙🤎💚🤍
Thank you ✔️👍❤️
U guys are the best, love your videos
