Motherboard charging circuit is ok but battery is not

So you had to basically do this because all the battery packs you tried where all faulty? So if you would of got a non fault battery to replace it with would it have just turned on fine? I’m asking because I’m replacing my battery on mine it turns on on direct power with battery disconnected the place I’m buying it from says they verify and check the batteries before they ever send them out so I’m hoping I would not have to do any of that and just plug and play?
