Honestly this wouldn't be as big of an issue if the PS4 had a deadzone setting, the only game that I know of that has that setting is Death Stranding. I got away with repairing it solderless. I replaced the plastic pieces inside the the housing, just keep in mind that they only fit in one way, the spring that sticks out should be facing up so the door can close.

Hi I have 2 problems with my ps4 first one that When i put the headphones to the controller there is a cutting in the voice i tried another controller and another headphones and it's still the same problem The second one that the controllar dont respond well tp the ps4 even when i am to close to my ps4 i have to direct my controller to some directions until it reapone Plz if u know anything to help dont skip 💝

Im wondering if this will help me as well! Just done a clean and thermal paste and the contrller is not working properly, and the headset when connecting to yhe controller cuts the sound, (jerky sound, like on and off) 😞😞😞 The sound though works fine when playing through TV direct, 😢😢😢😢

After we solder on a new stick. Do we need to calibrate them or are they just good to go right after being soldered?

Desoldering iron is the way to go, makes this process way easier and is only worth it if you have multiple controllers with analog stick issues. And of course have soldering iron. In total is about 60$ on amazon for both.

I had a similar problem but in my case the solder on front antenna was broken.

hello do you think we can swap the brake remote with a xiaomi 365 lever so I can use for a drum brake on the rear contemporary to front electric brake ?

I was thinking about replacing the joy sticks or swapping the left and right on my controller, but after seeing this I think I’ll just get a ‘new’ used one for like $20 lol. I’m sure it’s a good skill to have though, but this is a one-off for me

I gave it a go after replacing the white potentiometer by slightly prying but still let a tiny amount of drift where it wouldn’t return to dead centre. The analogue stick just wouldn’t come off after wicking as much solder I could with flux and an iron. Best option is to buy a new controller and sell broken one to someone who has a high end setup to repair and resell.
