Very useful video, thanks a lot for making this I had a decently new controller that had this problem and had an old one that I just take the working parts and just changing the sensor fixed it, and with your help I was able to fix it, thank you so much!!!
hello , can you show a video, on how to fix the ps4 SHARE/OPTION button ( tactile switch ) that is on the pcb ? I accidentally ripped off the yellow/metal looking piece.
If you’ve changed your sensors and they a permanently point up or to the side your fitted the sensors the wrong way round you need the flat part of the sensor on top
I broke a hinge on one of the things the censor goes in. Does that solder hinge matter electronically? Because my up and down on joystick no longer work at all. Yet sometimes after opening it and messing with it. Its stuck walking forward or scrolling up.
Great video! You explain it thoroughly! My grandson broke the plastic post that holds one of the joy stick knobs onto the metal post. Do I have to replace the whole part to the knob/joy stick? It now just wobbles. I was wondering if there was an easier fix? He is 8. What can I say! I took it apart and it is broken right where the metal post starts. I am sure if I glued it back on, it would just break again....? And I am not sure if that would mess it up? Any suggestions would be appreciated? Thank you!
Are both types of potentimeters (I mean the small white pieces inside the green tabs) compatible with a default controller? I had the old type in my controller and replaced them with the new type and now the joystick doesnt center properly on screen and still thinks it is moving a bit, could it be because the small white piece is not tightly on the plastic piece which moves with the joystick? Or do both types of the potentiometers have the same size central gap onto which the plastic piece fits that moves with the joystick?
After changing it , the up and downward movement stick on the analog is not working pls what can I do, and how an we test for continuity on the PC board on the controller thanks
hey man, are you from NZ? I've had my scuf controller for over a year now & it's just started to get stick drift.. I've got an air compressor gun & I've fully cleaned it out & it's stopped it for a few days & then it's playing up again & usually have to clean it every few days but doesn't really seem to be helping it now. do you fix scuf controllers by any chance?
I have one question. How can i bring that little Nob thing parallel to the stick? I think mine is a little bit off. I have a Scuf amd only changed the little wheel because i dont want to open the Scuf completeley. So i opened the green part and only changed the little wheel and still have a little bit of stick drift. I think thats because of the little nob thing thats not parallel. So can i adjust it?

@@adrianchavezmorales799 Hey! I am trying to fix mine, i have analog drift (i sense very small movement on some games like warzone map, Rocket league my car turns for itself...) and i don't know if it is due to sensor wheel housing or the entire analog unit. Do you recall what could it be?
Hello. I need a bit of help. I’m trying to fix my own controller and I have my own sensor wheels but I don’t replace the blue part since I don’t have access to any soldering tools, so I only replace the little disk wheel and my controller was fine but in fortnite, I usually get a bit of drift and because of my dead zone and not because of my controller. But I wasn’t getting any drift(the drift only happens in the game). I wasn’t getting any drift and my sensitivity was really high but it felt slow so I tried to replace it with my brand new disk wheel But when I did and turned my controller on it just kept on going to the left like crazy and it wouldn’t stop so I kept trying to fix it and it helped a little bit so I can stop it now but it happens really often and I don’t want to deal with this. I don’t know what the problem is because it was fine but as soon as I changed it it stopped working and kept drifting only to the left and not to the right. Do you have any clue what might be wrong and what I need to do?
can you use a white disk from a anouther controller like from the left joy stick or use the white disk from the broken one and are all white disks the same
Dude I just replaced the right stick on my DS4 like you did in this video. When I checked it was like stuck on left. I think maybe the dpad but could be left stick. Never had a problem with these only the right stick. On psn menu was most noticeable. On top row I could not use dpad like usual but on the apps when i go right it takes me right back to left. The right stick that I replaced is not even used for the psn menu so very confused. Any ideas on what I could have done wrong or wtf?

I would say it would be easier to replace the complete part to avoid problems later on.A good 60watt solering iron would be ideal.
