Nice, just did my first attempt earlier and it was successful 👍my little brother has been losing it because his DualShock 4 has drift 🤡 I got a spare ps5 analog and placed it in and it worked perfectly
I'm not an expert but why couldn't you use the wick to remove the solder connections instead of using a heat gun? considering how much you had to use the heat gun to get the connections out.
Hi, nice video, I'm trying to learn soldering to start fixing my own stuff, and I need to know the name of the copper material you use to remove the tin out if the board. I saw another guy doing it with a pen shaped thing that sucked it, and I don't know the name of either. Thanks in advance.
Hello I'm having a really tough time finding the 4 pin actuator for the ps3 du shock controllers. Any chance you have a link to where I might find them?
Habe ich bereits schon selber gemacht. Nur sind die Controller echt sch..., bei denen die Sticks nur gesteckt sind und nicht gelötet. Die Folie wieder an alle Kontakte zu bekommen gleicht einem Glücksspiel.
I did thia and now the drift goes to the left and wont stop how do o fix this? Or what did i do wrong. I also put in a new joystick but it keeps moving to left in game
I have severe tendinitis and can only play with the hori mini ps4 controller because of this but the sticks have too much tension and cause my thumbs too become tired fast. Does anyone know a company or person i can pay to have the tension reduce in the thumbsticks to that controller? Anyones help would be much appreciated

Im waiting for my heat gun to arrive but about sending some components to the space
@@IceofDream.be careful with the power connector, i managed to melt it off but then i soldered it back on 😂
You make it look really easy.
Try it.
just practice on a junk board i failed mt first attempt because i was afraid to melt the plastic connectors
Solder wick never works like that for me. Even if I add flux. What temp you using?
How hot are u using the heat gun that u didn't damage the motherboard??

Pen is solder sucker. Copper Braid is called Solder wick. Most solder wick comes infused with flux, but adding more wont hurt when desoldering. Cheers
do i need a solder sucker? and do i need a heat gun to remove the potentiometer?
@@EnjoyTheSilenc3no
that was clean
finally n snacking to the point video
i replaced it but it didn't work for me. same issue happened. any other solution or any other problem with my controller ?
may i know the setting for the hot air? thanks
Temp-450⁰C
Air-5 from 10
I tried his settings and had no luck maybe I was impatient but I figure 1-2 minutes of air time or its not coming off
I tried 350c and it melted the analog before it melted the lead but I was able to get it off. LOL
My Dualshock 3 has a problem with both analog sticks, when I play for half time both sticks stop working what could it be?
What wick are you using and what solder did you add to it? I failed my attempts to resolve rmine
Can I ask what air gun you got thank you 😊

You can find it on AliExpress
sir what's the difference between blue joystick and orange is orange better?
i have a blue one and it's broken now idk what to buy
Buy orange with F logo on ebay or aliexpress.
Do you really need to use a heating gun ?? Or can I just use the wick to collect the solder
You can use the wick, it just takes a tad longer. Make sure to use flux before.
Could you do that with a standard heatgun?
I couldn't do it, the hot air temp is 400⁰C and the analog stick won't come off, it doesn't even move ffs
Rise temp to 450⁰C.
@@allservice5506 I'll try, thanks
Do you knew how to attach the red and black wire back on
Temp and fan speed on the heat gun?
Nice work.

mann u should’ve put calming music
what a type your blower ??
But where do you buy the joystick module?
ebay mainly
Is That A Copper Strip?
Iron temp? 🤔
Can you say me the names of the things tha you used
After replacing the stick somehow is never cebtered correctly...do you know a calibration tool? Or something like that
bend the tails
@@soydan5057 what bend the tails?
How much would this cost ?
A joystick cost 5 dollars but the equipment to fo this is like overall 60 dollars but its worth it, when you think that you do it.
I can do it and without flux?
Mine went good up until about 2:10. I couldnt get passed this part, the copper would not absorb all of the solder.
Try adding some flux to the wick
The liquid that you sprayed on the paper is just water, correct?
ISO PROPANE ALCOHOL 99%
Alcohol, not water.
@@allservice5506 ahh okay thank you
how many watt solder iron which you are used?
70 watts.
hey can u tell what temperature u using
for heading and for loting
i changed one analog one with f logo but l3 drift to downward
Same man

That happened to me too and I don’t know why that happened!
Where did you buy the stick from and what’s it called?
Same issue kinda sad the the creator of the vid doesn't even bother responding to the actual comments asking valuable questions.

There's a video were they show how to change the spring for the anolog stick. You just have to buy it.
Anyone knows whats the name of the liquid flux he uses for desoldering?
Amtech 559
Lol no smoke from the flux must be magic flux I need the name and no heat tape to protect other components
It is chinese low price flux, no need for tape. I rearly used tape to protect other components. Flux is chinese copy of amtech.
How do u fix deadzone on controller?
big calves
Absolutely explained nothing
