God I haven't seen a Sizzler for at least 13 years.
They used to be everywhere in the US

Sizzler was a real institution of the 90s, they were everywhere in Sydney, now there is only one left in all of NSW. Too many horror stories of boogers in the salad bar.

I never really heard of bad stuff happening in sizzler if anything I loved it so much it was literally my childhood. We would eat there maybe once a month. Now that it is closed…

That's a blast from the past. I miss Sizzler and throwing up in the car park afterwards because I ate too much. I think there's still 8 or 9 restaurants Australia wide.

Stretchy cheese......That’s What’s she said......Wow Sizzler .......Victoria has missed our old friend for many years. Fond memories especially the cheese bread. Also their garden rice from the salad bar. Their ribs and prawns were my favourite....... Ahh ..... Memories...... The last time we were up your way we tracked down Sizzler.....

A mate of mine shouted a group of us Sizzler when he won a packet on Doriemus in the 1995 Caulfield Cup. Still remember how difficult it was to navigate the salad bar with a hundred beers under the belt.

Sizzler are still big in Thailand. They even home deliver up here.

Hey Greggo! "It's all about the stretch!" (talkin' 'bout the cheese, ya Ninny!) LOL, Anywho....True story...There used to be a Sizzler down the street from my family, here in FL in the US. We used to go there regularly as the salad bar was our fave...our son was a toddler and loved the garbanzo beans. (AKA chickpeas) He started choking on one, so without thinking, i turned him face down on my legs, knocked it right out of him on the back, and the entire restaurant clapped and cheered for us. I will always remember this!!!👏🏼

Last time I was at Sizzlers was in Frankston n was taking our Dutch friend out for dinner in 91. Spent time at her home in Holland on my way thru Europe in 91/92
I may be mistaken but I'm sure they had one on international drive in Florida, where if the meal wasn't in front of you by a certain time limit you had it free...

There’s no more sizzlers in New York at least where I live, I loved sizzler especially their buffet and their crunchy corn nuggets

We had a Sizzler joint up here in Darwin years ago. They closed it down and now it's a knocking shop where the sauce is quite a bit different to Malibu.
I seen they shut alot of stores ,great see there is a few left...loved the cheese toast ...

Ohhhh! This is in Australia! We got Sizzler in Los Angeles. I'm not sure if they have the "takeaway meal" here. Malibu sauce is that nice lil yellow sauce.💕Sizzler.

That looks like really good value. The take away menu on the Sizzler website says it's $11.95 for the Malibu melt and Steak wrap though. Wonder if the $9.95 thing was just a promo? I'm in WA so will keep an eye out for a banner like the one that was outside the store you went to!

Used to hit the Sizzler in Irving, TX. in the early 90's on some Friday's during my hour lunch break. The food was always very good and reasonably priced. Good stuff Grego.
