Apple still sells wired EarPods for $19, so I’d buy the Skullcandy Dime instead for a backup pair of earbuds!
Are the jlab 20$ better or are they worse
@@prcrazy5362 I would hope the JLABs are better since they're a newer product. @gamesky does have a review up on The Air Pop Go
@@chadex77 a
@@prcrazy5362 I had jlabs a couple of years ago. I’d say the Jlab has better quality and more clear sound. Also, it shows the battery percentage of each separate bud. However, the skull candy are more comfortable in your ear, look more modern, are more discrete, still have pretty good sound just not as more bass. I prefer the skull candy
For $25 this is not bad. Even with the concessions made it's still a good price for an entry-level set of TWS.
This or the JBuds Air True Wireless
I like em alot ngl
Exactly just picked them up myself, im gonna loose them any way its a matter of time.
50€ here in Finland. :)
Recommended these yesterday to one guy without trying these ever, so let's hope these are good enough.
I already own a pair and I was pleasantly surprised. Sure the sound quality is not amazing, but I found them enjoyable nonetheless. They may be inexpensive but not cheap!
do you use them when riding motorbike too? t=do they block outside noise well enouhg for longer periods on the highway ? scared the helmet will push the buttons tbh haha
@@namelesssnitchy I'm sorry, I don't ride motorcycles. But I can tell you that these do not have noise cancellation. The do have some passive noise reduction but it would not block heavy sounds.
@@mr.yonosenada okay. Thanks for reaction at least :)
after long usage does it hurt ur ear?
@@mr.yonosenada oh ok thanks
I have these for the gym and they’re perfect. Don’t want to lose my AirPods. Great alternative for cheap and decent headphones.
Just bought a pair this evening. I’ve never owned a pair of wireless earbuds before, and, so far, these impress (for what that’s worth). 20 bucks at walmart, man!
20 I paid 25.99 😂😂😂
I paid 19.99 on Amazon
299= bucks
It was an amazing moment the first time I used wireless earbuds like you, its so liberating
I paid $19.99 at Target just now.
I just picked up a pair of these and honestly think they're fantastic especially for the price. I do actually like the tiny usb cord for it. Biggest COMPLAINT: I hate the button on these, it's almost impossible to press and hold and do the different button functions without jamming it into your eardrum. The only option is to take them out of your ear to control them and at that point I'd rather just grab my phone and adjust the controls on it.
you don't push the buttons with only your index finger tho, use your thumb to hold the tiny stick at the end so it doesn't push in your ears and then press it. Dime 1 had very good button feedback which is lacking with the Dime 2.
Honestly I never thought they’d eventually have headphones this nice for less than $30.. they sound completely passable and the price really makes any cons minimal to none with these. A smart purchase if you just rlly need some headphones rlly quick
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
I got mines this past Friday and I’ve liked them, I went for a run today and it started to rain heavy and they stayed in, after a few hours I checked them and they were still fine, they cancel out a lot of noice by just putting them and once you have music you can’t really hear much unless it’s a sharp noice. I prefer them over my gen 2 air pods when it comes to fit and how short the stem is
I Picked these over the air pods and saved money 🤝
Does this thing have an in built mic on?
@@emin9583 yes it do perfect sound on a car
Noice!
I was curious about the noise isolation, I love my AirPods because of the noise cancellation but I ever back up pair of earbuds I get don’t cancel out the loud machines at work so I was debating on getting these
Just got some from Walmart! Very discrete for ignoring fellow employees and the public in general. The price is right and I love the bass. I absolutely dread taking calls so I doubt I’ll ever use the microphone on them. Honestly I didn’t have many expectations from them but I’m pleasantly surprised!
That tiny charge cable seems like the only huge misstep here. Looks good for the price!
Yeah, but who doesn't have a shit ton of these cables hanging around in a drawer somewhere?
@@williamdistasio9358 Me 😭😭
I feel like that was just a cost saving measure. And honestly since these are focused on being inexpensive earbuds it doesn’t really bother me
It's so great to see these bigger companies coming out with decent budget options!
yes bro
I have these headphones and thought it was incredible when I got them. Sound quality is very rich, bass feels like it's in your body, touch controls are very accurate and charges to 50% in 5 minutes.
I washed my earphones by mistake in washing machine, and it's still working, man this is amazing, I love Skullcandy,
😂
Impulse buy emergency earbuds for the win. These will be clipped to my bag at all times.
that's not a bad idea
These are great as a backup when your traveling or in the go!.Just keep a micro usb cable in your bag.
I charge mine on my desk at work connected to my iMac. The size of the cord is perfect for me. A longer one would cost 2 dollars at a Goodwill if I needed it.
Diggin’ the look of these. Might snag a pair for emergencies! 😅
I'm writing this comment after using skull candy dime for more than 6 months .
I usually just use these while morning run .
Pros :
Cheap cost
good bass
It fits nicely in ears and doesn't fall out even while I sprint
Case is very small , I can easily put this in my ticket pocket while running .
Cons :
Poor Mic
poor battery life , Doesn't even last 1 hour and 30 mins of continous usage
doesn't power off automatically , I need to manually power off them , Initially it used to work automatically. But not anymore .
Charging takes 3 hours but doesn't even last for 2 hours . Now I feel it's time to throw them . And buy something which gives me a better battery life .
i think over all it’s a 7.5/10, the design itself is pretty awesome, but the opening holes when the earbuds aren’t in the case brings the rating down, plus the battery life, i do like how small they are tho, if they put a bit more effort on them it could’ve been better, but it’s an okay earbuds for maybe like 8th-10th kids, i do enjoy the bass since i mainly listen to edm and house
Been waiting for this one🙏🏾😂👌🏾
same
Love the innovative design, but also love the way that you @gamesky handle the cons. Micro-USB and the limited battery life are deal breakers for this old man.
Who starts a video out with click-bate "sponsorships". Seriously ?
Thanks for the review. Walmart has them for 19.99 right now, for black Friday.
Got my first pair yesterday so loud and my parents were all screaming my name and i couldn't hear 😂
dude is it good like will you recommend me these??
I mean...im am 13 but they loud and clearly got sound canceling and u can answer calls...so maybe idk man 🤷🏿♂️
@@sinsizzyduhhh9589 i got Oneplus buds Z atlast
@@rishabx_7297 oh u got a 1+phone those are some good phones
I'm finding the sound quality to be sub par for sure but on a positive note they have no noticeable sound lag like I had with my 60 dollar boltune buds. Happy for the 35 dollar price in Canada.
These have been good to me for years. Honestly games through game pass have never lagged. The only thing that's ever lagged was when I used them with a midi device(piano) plugged into my phone. Everything else has been fantastic.
I've had my Indy buds for 5 years now and they are slowly getting to their breaking point. I am thinking of buying these, plus I like that they are smaller. Indy looks huge on my ears, and I have big ears I don't want them to draw attention lol
Big ears means you will live a long life !! Don’t be mad at them
Hows indys battry life after 5 years
Is is same as new or you get less hours of battry now plz reply fast
I just bought a pair from my mom this afternoon and I like them
I accidentally washed my other Bluetooth headset and bn looking for another one to listen to while at work. I'm a maintenance worker so I clean for only 2-3 hrs so this is perfect for just listening to music
Nice
Alot of potential. Hope they consider a premium version with touch controls and longer battery life and an even smaller case
Looks quite intriguing. Something different from the catchy colourful pairs from Skullcandy.
These are 100% worth the price ! They sound excellent and the mic which is very important to me is right up there with my AirPods Pro . The only thing for me is plastic , the case feels very cheap and not grippy (they do make silicone case for it to slip on) .
But for $20-$25 you just can’t go wrong . Best headphones in that price range hands down
Can you do a video on all the skullcandy wireless earbuds and which one is the best
Skull candy is one of those brands that I have a negative reaction to bc of how many cheap pairs my parents bought me when I was a kid and they would all break within a month or two. Might try their products at some point since they don’t look as bad as I thought
Keep in mind you were a kid.
I messed up quite a few pairs of good earphones cause i was a careless kid lol.
Skullcandy is a good brand, it's a brand I trust and the comment above me is right I messed up so many pairs due to carelessness as a kid
I'd try them again
I've owned like 3 pairs of the Skullcandy wired earbuds. They have lasted me a while. Only had so many due to damage but I love them. My husband has a wireless headset and it's great
Great that they're decent, but for me what sold me on it was that amazon was able to deliver them in orange, orange is a color that you dont see on many things and for the price its great, always loved skullcandy and i got them after finding out they were pretty decent
I would definitely buy these right now but I would prefer usb c and at least 5hour in the earbuds then it would be almost perfect touch controls would be cool to see on these if they make a upgraded version.
If they had made it usb c and charged 40 per unit, i would have been all in.
I'm betting an evo version is in the works with those features and probably stability fins of some sort. Similar to the indy line
I had a special discount on one of these so I placed an order. But I didn't have any idea how these were in terms of quality. Seems like a good buy, so I'll take it.
I just got a pair of these and paired them up with my phone and tablet...I'm impressed! It turned out to be easy (thanks to a YT Video) they work well with the volume booster app I have...thumbs up on these, and decent price range too! No more wire to catch on every thing...
volume booster app? Mind sharing?
"Not only does it come in at only $25..." lol, they're at $50 in most local stores here in Venezuela.
I’m glad I could find this video, I had my eyes on these and this settles it. Battery hasn’t a concern for me at all, as anything more than 15 minutes will be better than my horribly aging first gen AirPods :p
I just bought a pair of these, they're my first wireless headphones. I'm not sure if mine are a defect pair but they won't charge past 70%. Usually one is at 70% and the other is at 48% every single time I charge them, for days. They then die after a half an hour to an hour. With it being my first wireless headphones I'm really disappointed, especially because I've supported Skullcandy for so long, having bought most of my headphones through them. I'm going to try exchanging them and seeing if possibly they're just defected.
Those skulls on the eartips provide pretty good grip on ear ngl i still use my skullcandy ink'd eartips with my trn v90s
Still have My INKD wireless.
I have a blue pair and I'm actually addicted to them very compact superb quality sound quality and yes your right it would have been better with type c and version 5.2. Maybe skullcandy is hopefully working on a 5.2 version with type C and wireless charging. I hope so.
For $25 that's really good. My Indy's I got like less than two years ago were like $60 and that was on sale. BTW what jacket are you wearing?
Omg for real I liked his jacket too!
Looks like a levi jacket www.kohls.com/product/prd-4913808/mens-levis-washed-cotton-sherpa-lined-hooded-trucker-jacket.jsp not the exact same thing but maybe you can find a dupe for it
Hows indys battry health right now is it same as new or you have less battry compared to new
@@aryeshgage3333 it’s doing fine. It’s not a daily use earbud for me though. If I was in the market for new earbuds in the $50-100 range I would look more toward Soundcore now.
Just picked these up. My last pair of wireless earbuds were crap chinese ones that would cut in and out if my phone was in my pocket, these you can be in another room with the door shut and the phone under blankets and it had 0 cuts. The sound is great imo and the simplicity and mini design is exactly what I was looking for. Only thing I don't like is the 3 1/2 hour battery life however Ill be using these for working out and commuting to university so they will do just fine if I remember to charge them while in classes. These were 65$ NZD which is a bit more than 25$ USD but they I am happy regardless.
Thankyou brother was finding the review for the buds but bouldn't find it on youtube and here you are who uploaded it
i personally like these, i mean i dont listen to music for more than 3.5 hours and the bass surprised me i love them
Well done and well said yet again good sir. I will be picking up a pair of these now that I have Gamesky’s approval. You haven’t steered me wrong yet!
Ridge is okay, had one for over 2 years, but it's going to mess up your cards with chips in them well before they're supposed to be replaced.
That's WITH using buffer cards.
Idk if it is just the difference of ears or if I am used to alot of bass, but my pair seemed to not have much bass at all, to the point where I used an equalizer app to get more bass out of them and make them sound good to my liking. The only problems I had with them that weren't easily solvable were they aren't the best for wearing for long periods of time as they can make your ears hurt a bit, and the charging cable sucks.
The ridge wallet is like 4 times more expensive than these 😂
And is two pieces of aluminum screwed together xD
@@theAristocrap I know right xd
Great review man,I love Skullcandy ☠️☠️☠️💀💀💀☠️💀
Just got these .. there very comfy and impressive !!! Thanks for the review 👍
SkullCandy has made quality earphones since day one.
Got these for $14.
Haven't even tried them but I'm 💯%sure they will be AWESOME 👍
I own a pair of these headphones. For the price its hard to complain, they sound great and have a decent battery life. The fit isnt always great but i just wear a winter hat over them.
SAME here. Dunno why, but here in 🇬🇧 I picked up a pair for £9 ($12) - an absolute bargain 👌
Would you please do a video on the best Skullcandy earbuds pleeaaseeee 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yes, we need a consensus
@@earlymorningcoffeeat9am best pair of skull candy are hands down the skullcandy indy evo anc. Gamesky even has a video for it check it out. He says how great they are as long as you download the app
I like the charging cable.. it doesn't matter what way you plug it in.. its good to go either way. Thats useful...
$25 in the USA and €40(=$48) for Europe . Skullcandy is on another level of high :3
30 quid here in the UK
2500 rupees here in India
@@saqib.. is that considered a lot of rupee or a low amount of rupee?
I’m going to ultimately think that’s probably around $30 in US. I did just look up 2500 Rupee and I was not expecting to see a coin. Wow that’s insane that 1 of those 2500 Rupee is $30
Are they rare or are common?
@@anijarandall7379 Well considering the payscale the amount is not much but is a significant amount.
1 dollar is around 70 rupees.
@@anijarandall7379 its not a low amount of rupee, considering we can get some good earbuds for 1200 rupees here with almost same features. But still middle class people can spend around 2500 without exhausting their budget or thinking too much about it
Got mine just now , for 20€, first buds.they work fine. My "standard" for headphones are grado, well they are not comparable but like I said they are FINE...
The minus is you must jam them into the ear to hear the bass but i thing this comes with every "bud"
Dude, they're $25...
3 - 4 hours battery life and a small charging cord... I'd expect that, I hope nobody is complaining about that lol
Good review man!
Such a smart idea in a world where phones don't have plugs for 🎧. It's an everyday pair that is always within reach.
Oké after some use I am very happy with the earbuds. The sound is good and they are water resistant. In a lot of ways there better then some more expensive earbuds.
Just got these yesterday and I truly like them. For $25 can’t go wrong at all 🤷🏽♂️💯 I would recommend tbh
I like both the review and the buds, but it's just crazy how the price doubles for europe users, not buying them for 50 euros!!
Got mine today. Loving it. Never want another pair EVER. They were on the cheap/expensive side but it was worth it
I have a pair. I'm mostly pleased with it, but the charging cable it came with is comically small. luckily though, my phone uses the same type of charger so I just use that to charge my earbuds as well.
1 year out bought it in sale for 18$ best bang for buck and crushes most of tws at this price point.
I’m late but I got mine literally a week ago ,and I’m hella satisfied, I use em for basics but regardless, these paired with Apple Music tho-love it ,I’m hearing sounds I never heard on my favorite songs ,makes it all feel brand new
I have had two pairs of Skullcandy wireless earbuds and I have loved them both
Love your videos man. Every time I think of a new pair of buds. I come here first for the review before I buy. Thanks again! Just purchased these. Waiting for them to come in the mail.
I just needed them for podcasts and I'm happy so far
POV: You are watching this video in your pair of dime true
This Came On My Birthday Last Year It's Crazy 🤯
Idk y..but I kinda fell like this is perfect for me..its tiny, cheap, button and mainly its silicon..for me personally I prefer tiny wan because u can just put inside pocket, button is perfect for me because all the time I want to adjust the touch sensor earpod, it stops the music and cutting the calls..silicon is perfect, fits in ears and doesn't hurt at all
Great review! How would you compare these to the Skullcandy Spoke's?
Lowkey I bought them at Ross because I lost one of my airpods. Honestly I'm surprised by them. Keep in mind they're 20-30 dollars so they dont feel premium but they're great for working outside or just to be all sweaty in. I don't mind them all. I'm not an audio head and id say keep using these over another pair of airpods (not pros dont like the pros). ALSO they didnt want to fall out my head at the gym...pros did plenty
Mines come Friday 🤝
I just got a pair as a early Christmas Present and I fell in love with them the only thing I didn't like about them was the string i don't like that you can put it on your keys but for the price there really good the audio is really good mic not so much but I wanted them for purely music anyways
I didn't think about dust in the case I'm gonna put a sticker over the holes
I have two pairs of these ear buds wish my first pair I lost one of the buds , bought new pair BC I loved them and 3 months passes in the fall in Canada literally survived a snow storm the snow didn't stay and I found the bud outside on the edge of my driveway meeting the grass and I picked it up tossed it in the case it charged up and works perfectly fine !?!!!?!?!?! Ipx infonte, I use my spare pair in the shower all the time my other ones I avoid water but I know there deff very durable buds I lost the black pair I have twice, never lost my grey/blue pair, black ones are hard to find !!! Blue is easy to spot
very informative and honest review. i bought the Push earbuds a while back and ended up really disliking them. i was on the fence about these, but for $25 they seem like they're worth it.
Another great video. Thank you.
Please tell me why I can't hear the bass good enough, I literally have to shove the damn ear bud in my canal
me too.. omg... it frustrates me... they fall off my ear too.. when i push them hard it sounds good.. but the bass is awfull like that
I've been searching for a pair of earbuds that are noise canceling and would be comfortable to sleep in, as I live in a noisy household. This is maybe up for consideration.
This is my 1st pair of wireless EB's. I bought them at China Mart. I bought them because they stayed firmly in place. Other EB's kept falling out.
Great review as always and I was very interested...but they lost me at micro USB. Too many other options in this price range with USB C.
Why do you care if its USB or USB c?
Micro USB is actually smart since most cheap chineas things still come with micro usb and almost every gadget u get on Amazon so anywhere u go ull find one of those cables so u can charge anywhere and these cables are dirt cheap now a days so u can pick up one at a hardware store and be good
I use these earbuds for bike rides and the audio quality isn't a problem since all i need them to do is block the wind
Just bought there. My first Bluetooth headphones. Not bad for $25 but definitely will look into something better. They hurt my ears lol
Only con is never drop it in or on dirt cause its magnetic and little rocks get stuck on it and its a nightmare to take off
Thank you for your honest review!
I use 20$ lenovo earbuds + samsung music all bass options maxed.. the sound and bass is legit extreme. I wonder how skullcandys are🤔
Now I'm considering to buy these for a backup option from my Soundcore liberty 2 Pro. Either these or the Jib true.
I hope you went with the Jibs!
I got myself a pair a week ago and they’re great for an entry level blue tooth head phone.
I am currently watching this vid with the dime series
I use my galaxy buds+ all the time but I pick these up today and I love them so far. The fit is the best I ever had in a earbud and it only cost me $20 lol.
Do they sound better than the buds?
What is the approximate rate at which the dime charges while inside the case?
How much usage can one get after keeping the fully drained dime earbuds in the case for 30min.
Hope they oneday re-release the aviators. Loved my brown ones. Crushers have serverd me well tho
Great video, I really like the size and shape of these ear buds but I would love a more premium version. Would you recommend any other similar ear buds that would have a highly level of quality? (I’d pay up to $100 or so) Thanks
I would say they are an 8/10 the only thing that I really didn’t like was how more suppressed the sound was for me. And the fact that the wire is so small makes me just watch the case dangling on my wall…
