Actualy, the Prince title is to destroy the aspect. The Bards ability was to destroy through it. Both Gamzee and Eridan made the choices that completed the roles, but they were fated to be like that. Not in a "You're gonna do this, because you were suppose to, by fate!" but because of their choices that made them their titles.
