  • A glass path suspended on a cliff face has been constructed on the side of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, China. This skywalk, which hovers 4,700 feet above sea level, offers breathtaking views. Stretching 200 feet long, it connects the west cliff at the Yunmeng Fairy Summit, the peak of Tianmen Mountain, to Zhangjiajie.
The experience is so nerve-wracking that some visitors have been seen clinging to the railings as if they're auditioning for a new Olympic sport: the "Mountaineer’s Hug." Others, with their faces frozen in a mix of awe and panic, have taken to performing a “shuffling dance” across the glass, each step more tentative than the last. To keep the glass pristine and reduce the chances of accidental nose prints, tourists must don shoe covers before stepping onto the skywalk. The combination of sheer height and the novelty of the transparent floor creates an adrenaline-fueled spectacle, showcasing not just the stunning natural beauty of the region, but also the priceless expressions of sheer terror on the faces of its brave visitors.
