    3 time major winner, and is humble, classy, friendly, and helping with tips. The man does RUclips advice just to help people! He certainly doesn’t do it for money. Thanks in so many ways, Padraig

    Padraig is just saying what Bob Rotella always teaches "Golf is not a game of perfect". Great advice.

    Great lecture by Padraig. Also liked his point on attitude. I think Ben Hogan said "accept that you will make mistakes on the golf course" which is a great attitude.

    Padraig....what an absolute star. No sugar coating, he tells it like it is. Thought the most interesting part was when he told Pete to stop overworking/analysing his game. He seemed pretty impressed.

    Accepting less than perfection, or less than your own best, is great advice. And trying to not hit straight has really made a difference. Thanks Padraig.

    When a 3 time major champion is telling you you've got the game, you've got to take that, just work on the mental side and bring that confidence to your next qualifier Pete, we'd all love to see you do it!

    Its probably what I have really got into with golf is the strategy and how I swing the club and my overall game the results almost don't matter as much anymore.

    This. I have a better attitude than I do golf game, admittedly. But we all play with guys who constantly gripe and moan around the course regardless of their score or capabilities..it is a tough game..but I love the Paddy quote: "are you so arrogant that you think you can play well with a bad attitude."

    Golf is like blackjack.
    Shooting at a tucked pin next to waist-tall grass is like taking a card on 17. Sure, it can be done. Or you can aim 12y away and it's more like taking a card on 11.

    Pete, I've always said you and Rick both have all the tools to be tour pros, except for one. Your mental game, pressure comes and you guys have a tendency to crumble. You really are as good as Harrington says.

      @@TruaxOutdoors I've seen enough of Rick to know that he is an embarrassment to PGA pro's and can't play to save his life, he made a break 75 series last for multiple seasons!

      @@ryanh8884 To be fair Rick doesnt practice nearly as much as its needed and when you consider that, he has most talent out of all RUclips golfers(he has a tour card afterall). He showed in his matches against pros that he can play at high level but he would need to be on the range everyday. He said he goes on a range once a week and plays on the course once or twice a week. Thats way too low. And no mention of short game practice which is why its his by far worst part of the game. He just has no desire to practice that much and I would be the same in his shoes. As he said one time of he played golf everyday, either practice or course, he would grow tired of it in a month. The grind in golf is biggest of any sport. As a pro coach on his podcast said and a ex tour pro, its range session, short practice session, putting session and top it of with 9 holes every day. Its a proper 8 hour work day.

    • @ryanh8884
      @ryanh8884 2 месяца назад +1

      @@outlander234 you clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about, the most talent of all RUclips golfers?
      Tour card? You must of meant teaching professional and they're 2 totally different things.

    Pete has always known he has a game to compete with the best. His mental approach of self destruction is always the killer and he should spend more time thinking positive and stop the self depreciating attitude.
