Matt was incredible in this episode
Yupp, but he’s been that way in every episode :)
Remember in the episode Flesh And Stone, the Doctor was talking to Amy (4:28 in your reaction video) but he had his coat on when earlier on he didn't? Now you know why 😉
Oh WOW. I didn’t even think about that. All makes sense now 😂
I think this exchange between Amy and River is underrated and really heartbreaking:
River: "He want's to talk to you before he goes."
Amy: ''Not to you?''
River: ''He doesn't really know me yet, and now he never will.''
It get's me every time🥲
I thought you'd enjoy the "fairy tale" tone of this series and I was right. That was the goal of the new showrunner, Stephen Moffat. Most reviewers who watched the episode also commented on "Wow, an actual happy ending?" That's new! You were still apprehensive at the wedding reception scene - after all, it looked like Donna was going to have a happy ending - and then had to have her memory wiped.. But this one ends on a happy note - and Amy, Rory, and the Doctor are off to have a number of wild adventures! Enjoy Series 6.
Yeah I love the fairytale vibe. Can’t wait to watch more 🔥
'Were all stories in the end, make it a good one'
I have that quote tattooed on me in Gallifreyan writing, my favourite Doctor forever a part of me
Oh awesome 🔥 yeah that quote is amazing. This show has a lot of great quotes :)
this is an amazing episode and one of my favorites. steven moffat said this is his favorite episode he ever wrote. he also mentioned (because of confusion) that when amy touches the hair of her younger self ( 03:00 ), she's checking for earrings. it's also the only finale so far that hasn't ended with anybody leaving, like the companion or the doctor regenerating. the exact same cast, which i'm happy about, i love rory
Yeah I’m happy about that too. Nice to have a positive ending. Can’t wait to watch more 🔥
Just thought I would mention the Big Bang 2 did actually erase all previous invasions of earth from human history, not as in they didn't happen it's more like how the erase works with the crack where there is an echo but it's repressed, so basically no one but the Doctor and a select few others remember.
another thing I am going to say is despite the Doctor being erased by the crack and this technically being a new doctor, all his past adventures did still happen, I do believe it is because of Amy brining him back through memory.
Ah interesting. Thanks for telling me :)
although technically it does recon everything before it
@@leonardochapman4736 kind of
The "Silence will fall" voice is still out there.
Oh 👀
Welcome everyone to the "oh shit / oh fuck / cool /oh cool" reaction lmao
Also! Remember when I said that scene from the weeping angels was a continuity error? Welllll...
Most my reactions are like that 😂😂😂 and yeah I didn’t realise in the episode but found out in the comments. Cool how it was connected later on :)
Here, at 14:05, way back at the end of series 5, the Eleventh Doctor gets a phone call about the mummy on the orient express… and finally gets around to investigating the matter - as the Twelfth Doctor.
Ah cool, thanks for showing me where it is :)
What I liked about the ending of this episode is this is the first time in New Who that we head to a next season with the same cast as a previous season as from Seasons 1-4 the cast keeps constantly changing from 9th Doctor to Rose then from 10th Doctor to Rose then from 10th Doctor to Martha then from 10th Doctor to Donna so it's a nice change to keep alittle bit of consistency to give the Doctor and a companion time to grow as characters.
To answer your question about why the Doctor didn't regenerate when he got exterminated by the Dalek (which of course later turned out not to be the actual case) if the damage is too severe beyond repair then it's possible for a Time Lord to die and unable to regenerate as Tennant's Doctor explained to Wilfred back in "The End of Time: Part 1" if he's killed before regeneration then he's dead. A Time Lord can only regenerate 12 times thus 13 lives and once a time Lord reaches their 13th life then they can live, grow old and die but they can get granted a new set of a new 12 regeneration cycle if they choose to.
Ah okay, thanks for telling me :)
My favourite tardis team ever. Season 5 was beyond wonderful and I love the fairy tale vibe to it
Same, can’t wait to watch more 🔥
The scene at the end when his time stream is unraveling and hes in the forest again wit the angels, if you go back n watch the original scene it is that version of the doctor, you can see a sliver of his brown coat, which is such good planning on their part
Yeah I’ve been told. Really cool 🔥
This is the Doctor's last regeneration, so he can't regenerate
Wdym last? The Doctor is gonna regenerate again at some point.
That’s a spoiler
Some people just can't control themselves and maintain spoilers.
Ah, the life of some people who thinks that everyone has actually seen every episode 🙄
You are absolutely goated for liking every episode of season 5. It’s my favorite, and the first entire season of NewWho i bought on Blu-ray.
No bad episodes. I’m still figuring out how Moffat made James Corden bearable.
I loved the Series 1 finale but was increasingly frustrated with the other RTD finales. I love how this one finishes, with the Doctor and his friends joyously heading off on new adventures! That said, this is more effective precisely because it's followed on from RTD's finales often being bombastic and downbeat.
Yh true. Can’t wait to watch more 🔥
I think this is probably the best written finale so far - not necessarily my favourite, but it really delivered in terms of bringing everything together cohesively and the pacing is masterful, as opposed to some RTD finales that felt a little crammed/stretched at points
Yeah 100%. It flowed very well, I’m not a huge fan of the RTD finales. I’ve liked things but also hated things. This one, I’ve enjoyed the whole way through :)
I'd argue the s10 finale is probably
@@HamzaReactzoverall would you say you prefer RTD's or Moffat's writing style?
Moffat 100%
Even in RTD’s era I really liked Moffats stories :)
This season is the height of Doctor Who for me. Love the tone, characters, episodes, music, all of it.
Same. Hoping it stays this way :)
@@HamzaReactzfor me it's of this quality for the next 5 series, I just love how Moffat writes Doctor Who, he just gets it. Others will disagree but it's easily the best era of Who for me.
Do you remember the scene tbe jackeless dpctor being elsewhere and a jacket wearing doctor spoke to amy in the angels episode , this explains why
Just saw someone else’s comment saying this. I didn’t even think about that 😂 cool!
@@HamzaReactz it never clicked with me watching flesh and stone or remember the scene by the time the big bang aired
You're getting over a thousand views in a day now.. well done :)
Wouldn’t be possible without you guys liking and commenting, so thanks :)
Love it. Thanks. “This episode is so timely wimey” Yeppp. Welcome to the Moffat era of Who.
Love the Timey Wimey stuff. Can’t wait to watch more 🔥
@@HamzaReactzMoff is the king of it. Very clever mind and writer. I look forward to you discovering more.
Always remember Rory staying them for all that time true love
The LOOP of people in and out of the box can be fixed logically if THE SONIC had been dropped on the ground when the DOCTOR was dragged into the box
"Something blue!" Karen absolutely nailed that line!
Alex's "I'm sorry my love" always gets to me.
Great lines they were 🔥
My favourite Christmas Special is next too!!!
Watch it every christmas eve
Can’t wait to watch it :)
“I’ve got a future, that’s nice” … I love the museum video.
Same :)
So happy you enjoyed it. Series 5 and Series 10 are tied for my favorite series finales. My favorite series for Matt is Series 6, you can tell he really feels comfortable in the part.
Awesome! Can’t watch to see series 6 🔥
How big is the interior of the Tardis, only 2 and a half more series to find out.
Yeah, that wedding scene is yet another major reason for my dislike of Amy Pond. Even after the love triangle ended and she got character development, she still hits on the Doctor and tries to kiss him.
Also, to answer your earlier question about how the Doctor dying without regeneration works (Even though he didn't actually die) Dalek Weaponry was equipped with an anti-regenerative function during the Time War I'm pretty sure.
Yeah it ruins the character development for Amy. Forgot to mention that in my video.
Flesh and Stone had a really amazing detail where the Doctor seemingly regained his jacket out of thin air during the talk with Amy. Loads of fans pointed this out, rightly so, as an inconsistency and mistake but the final explained it brilliantly.
Yeah just saw other comments mention it. All makes sense now 😂
This shows how Moffat had a plan for the show and would scatter small tidbits through the series to tease the audience, only to draw the details together later on.
@@robertmartin9029 Moffat is pretty good at being able to plant a story point, where you think you know what it's for, but it's really for something else. The wedding dress reveal at the end of episode 1 seems, at the time, to be a little bit of dramatic business in Amy's life that gives her a reason to finish her journey with the Doctor at some future point. It turns out that Amy getting married is _absolutely critical_ to her being in the exact frame of mind necessary to remember the Doctor and bring him back to reality.
Rule 1, The Doctor Lies. Rule 2, Don't assume anything in a continuity error in the era of Steven Moffat. That man loves very, very subtle hints and clues, and season-arching storylines.
Awesome 😂 loving his stuff so far, can’t wait to watch more :)
This is such a fun episode. And the moment when they are on the Byzantium with his jacket on and you realize this has been planned since the beginning.
Yeah that was cool to find out. I didn’t realise in the episode but was told in the comments. Love it 🔥
Great end to a great series. Matt was brilliant. Played the Doctor perfectly imo.
Matt is awesome. Can’t wait to see more of him :)
When I first watched this when it first came out, I remember feeling pretty annoyed tbh, at least at the start of the episode. The stakes at the end of episode 12 were so astronomically high, every one of the doctors villains together, I couldn't wait to see how they would all interact in episode 13, then a lot of it just got swept under the carpet pretty quickly in the opening 10 minutes. That was my only disappointment with this one. Apart from that I think it is a great story and series. However, while I think some of Moffats writing is great, the problem with his writing as opposed to RTD's in my opinion is that is far harder for a casual audience to follow. There is tons of timey wimey elements as you said. But it is still enjoyable regardless, glad you enjoyed it.
I completely understand what you mean. I would’ve liked to have spent more time with those iconic villains. But that being said, even in RTD’s era. The story for the villains tends to be over quickly (maybe not as quickly as it was done in this finale) but still quickly. Like the series 4 finale. I thought the daleks and Davros story was sidelined and rushed through just so they could give us the Doctor Donna stuff.
Yeh the daleks and davros defeat was a bit of a copout, donna flicked some switches and they were defeated.@@HamzaReactz
One of the few times that a redo/undo button works in a franchise. Like the Doctor recreates the universe via an exploding TARDIS and a Pandorica, sounds a boring/easy cop out on paper but in practice works well.
Yupp :)
It's nitpicking, but my only real issue with the 2 parter is that Amy had a photo of Rory in his centurion costume in her bedroom when his whole existence had been wiped.
That’s actually a valid issue 😂 didn’t even think about that.
@@HamzaReactz some things do get left behind though like rings and River Song's diary and stories in Amy's head
THE DOCTOR should NOT be able to get out the box if you follow it properly.
All the TIMEY WIMEY jumping about doesn't alter that
i dont understand still how amy can touch her younger self yet when rose does it creates a issue
It’s in a timeline where the universe had been destroyed, it was pretty much erased when the doctor rebooted the universe so there wasn’t really a consistent set of time travel rules applying
@@TheMarioAdams also Rose had just brought her dead dad back so it was a vulnerable point in time
Wow you are rele flying through series 5!!
Yeah got through pretty quickly 😂
Rory is the best.
He’s awesome 🔥
My favorite timey wimey episode! I love when all the bits fit in. The only part I didn’t like was Amy telling her dad to shut up. It was jarring. She could have said “wait Dad’ but it really jolted me out of the story. But other than that bit I really loved this episode. And it all worked! All the bits fit. Now- do NOT watch season six yet until you get your real life stuff done! You will be found 1000 years from now, a skeleton in front of a ruin of a screen. Because that season opener… yup get that real life stuff done.
Yeah I need to get real life stuff done 😂😂 Amy saying shut up to her Dad surprised me, didn’t expect her to say that.
@@HamzaReactz I expect her to say it to Rory but not her dad!
Timelords can Regenerate 11 times
13 actually
@@thepandorica1660 12 times, they get 13 bodies
And thank Clara got another 13
personally i dont like Steven moffat as a writer, he amazing at setting up great cliffhangers but i never found how he resolved them very compelling, doctor locked in pandorica, universe ends and he out in 5 mins with no effort at all
Yeah that is very fair. I forgot to mention the whole getting out with a screwdriver. Thought it was a cheap way out. But other than that. I’m enjoying everything he’s done so far :)
Never been a fan of this episode, I've always found it overly romantic, Rory waiting 2000 for Amy is just laughable for me. Glad you enjoyed it.
I can see what you mean but it shows how much he loves her and how far he’s willing to go for her :)
I think this part is underwhelming and it was confusing but it is s decent episode. I just wish we saw more of the allience as we only really get the stone dalek and a single Auton which is Rory.
Resetting the universe restores Rory to human too.
That’s fair. I understand what you mean, the alliance stuff is over pretty quickly. But honestly, a lot of the finales have felt like that. The villains tend to disappear or have their stories over fast.

Does this minisode take place right after this episode? Cause it’s not on the order that I’ve been given. At least not yet.
@@HamzaReactz yes, these are in order (a cycle order)
@@HamzaReactz they don't actually reference any doctor who events, but rory is in them, so you could watch them now or later. it's just that they were released after the next episode. they're essentially timeless though and they don't spoil anything
Ah okay. On my order I’ve been given they’re after I’ve watched SJA series 4
omg waaattt, this is totally my least fav season of modern Who, tho it does have a lot of cool shit in it
I don't why you're surprised. That's a pretty uncommon view but I respect it. I was more of a Tennant fan myself.
@@nathanjordon6950 I kinda assume that people who started with series 5 are the ones who love it the most, but as time goes on that seems less and less true...
@@LucyGooseyLiciousseries 11-13 are absolutely ass. How can you say series 5 is worse. Series 5 is also better than series 2 and series 7 imo.
@@TheMarioAdams series 11, 12 and 13 are very refreshing. I love that Doctor Who has the potential to be anything, and I hate that it fell into a rut and every episode felt very samey. Chibnall era changed it up and I value it massively for that. Also Series 11 is fab and Series 12 is flawed but fun and Series 13 was utterly electric.
Oh damn. Fair enough I guess, I thought it was pretty fun. Can’t wait to watch more 🔥
