These are fantastic cars that offer massive bang for buck. But you are spot on with the relationship part and looking after them. They are cheap to buy but expensive to maintain so make sure you cater for that. Keep the videos up
Thanks. I'm considering buying a Disco 3 or 4. I would never drive these at 160 kmhr due to fear of crankshaft failure... basically it's like the brakes jammed in bugtime and engine failure

Old defender 80% off-road. Range Rover 80% on road. Disco4 80% on and off-road. It doesn’t do anything brilliantly, but it does everything really well. A very good all round car, pity about the cranks in the diesels. V8 is the way to go, if you ok with paying for the extra fuel. Thanks for the review mate.

I’ve had, 300di, TD5, TDV6 and the V63L, every version apart from the very first 200tdi…….swore I would never ever buy another one…….picked up my 2nd Disco 4 last week……just can’t help myself with these….😮😢😂❤
I Bought mine after months of searching , Wanted a LR3 , But ended up getting a 2012 , One owner LR4 HSE , Light Grey Metallic exterior , Black beautiful interior , Took it OffRoading twice already , How I wish they still produced this model .
Appreciate the effort but you didn’t cover any of the known issues apart from the gearbox service. For example but not limited to Timing Belts, Manifolds, Compressor, front bearings, fuel filter, boot lock. All have fairly repeatable failure timings.

All these issues and people still consider them. Is it the power and torque or the looks or the capability when they are working that people let override the red flag 🚩 that land rovers fly in the face of buyers
Don´t buy unless you are ready to buy new engine after 200.000km. Especially SDV6 are shitty engines breaking up frequently. To get the car rolling again will set you back about 12k USD ... Read some forums before purchase. I had to learn the hard way.
GM question to you sir from jamaica iam about to buy a disco 4 2016 right hand drive petrol have u even seen petrol right hand drive \ because all i have ever seen is diesel right hand drive thank tell me what u think
Generally I’d say low mileage with a full maintenance history. Also look out for catastrophic failures such as the air suspension and oil leek problems. Unfortunately Land Rover charge a ton to have these fixed. Hope this helps!
Don't buy diesel! You sholud read about this problem on forums. SDV6 isn't better than TDV6. I own one SDV6 with broken main crankshaft bearing. Look for 8speed trans. It's a huge upgrade than 6sp. Now I bought LR4 SCV6 and it's better in all aspects. Acceleration, top speed... Diesel is rally clumsy. You must look for mainetance costs It's not cheap.

Having owned a disco I absolutely loved mine but it absolutely murdered me in terms of maintenance costs. They are lovely though!

Have a 2008 Discovery 3 SE V8 going on 90k miles and absolutely love it even with it's sometimes pain in the butt gremlins.
