So loom closely at 3:29 the seven stars meant he was an Ace. Usually if a pilot is credited with seven kills, he becomes an Ace which means he is skilled and is hard to kill because of those skills
Shown here is one of the aerial combat techniques. Messerschmidt-109 had a higher horizontal flight speed than the La-5, but lost in maneuverability and climb speed. La-5 could climb higher and faster than the heavier Me-109. Here you can see how the power of the Me-109 was not enough in vertical flight and it fell down. The Russian pilot took advantage of this.
that's actually all backwards .... the plane shown in there was a 109 G series (most likely the G6) not only is it ligther than the La-5 (maximum takeoff weight is 3402 kg for the La-5 vs 3150kg for the 109, the La-5 is 250 kg heavier), but the 109 has a better rate of climb (the G6 has about 20.1m/s climb rate vs the La-5 with 16.7m/s), which makes sense, since the 109 had to mainly face allied spits, mustangs and bombers that could go high very fast. another factor is that the 109 had an immense energy advantage in that situation , you can clearly see him dive from a significantly higher altitude in the start, and he didn't pull any maneuvre other than zooming up behind the La-5, which wouldn't bleed him that much speed. last thing, the engine failure at the end sounds a lot like it was caused by fuel starvation, which was a common issue with inter and early war planes using carburators. the problem here is that the 109 uses injectors, so that failure should not have happened (one more reason that confirms that was indeed caused by fuel starvation is the fact that the engine instantly restarted the moment the plane pointed down) with all those factors in mind, the La-5 should have been the one to stall first in that climb, by a big margin. btw that bomb is a 50kg one, so no, it still wouldn't tip the weight in favor of the LA-5

Those are called bolt action rifles, and were used by most nations. Bayonets were still used but not very effective as machine guns and snipers were around so close range combat wasnt really a thing anymore. Also you can see things like tiger tanks, t-34-85 tanks, i think i saw an is-2. Anyways sorry if this was too much info but im a huge ww2 geek.

It's a soviet heavy tank, next generation after KV-series. And about rifels. In this video soviet soldiers used Mosin's rifels and PTRD (ПТРД - Противо(Т)анковое Ружье Дегдтярёва / Degtyaryov's Anti-Tank Rifle). Sorry for my english, if I did some mistakes. @JUAN KAMILO SAMACA JARAMILLO most Soviet tanks by 1944/1945 are actually T34-85s, the number of IS-2 produced are absolutely dwarfed by how many 3485s are being churned out. IS-2 s are mostly grouped in heavy breakthrough units, much like what Germans did with their heavy tank battalions, so it's accurate that you sometimes see them moving en masse.

Whenever I watch the trailer it gives me goose bumps and it is crazy how dumb struck peolple are watching it I saw a video where one Russian woman almost cried watching it.

It has various modes like battles with planes, battles with tanks, battles with ships, etc. Thanks to this game, I managed to score a 100 in history class here in Costa Rica (which for american terms, that's an A+)

I know that you are not very interested in history and historical context, but I will correct you a little if I can. The trailer shows the Second World War, we, the Russians, call it the Great Patriotic War, because then we fought with a very serious and bloodthirsty enemy on all fronts, even in ideological terms. The trailer shows specifically the Eastern Front, namely the Battle of Kursk Bulge - the most massive tank battle in history. The fighters in the trailer are the fighters of the Red Army - the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army or simply the Red Army. Yes, the action is similar to the movie "1917", but the Second World War was both in scale and in cruelty - worse, unlike the positional skirmishes in the First World War.
The artillery was AAA (anti-aircraft artillery). One of the the 3 big advancements was the proximity fuse which really enhanced the anti-air ability of the flak guns. These seem to be timed fuses however. With a timed fuse the crew could time the explosion for a specific altitude. The odd part is 88s being aimed at tanks which was really effective with the correct ammo. WW2 saw innovation for artillery that allowed to engage everything, not just infantry.
@@snugglecity3500 thanks, I didn't know about such type of weapons. Seems to me inefficient because of its fire rate. AAA of those times had high fire rate thanks to machine gun system. Nowadays the principal stays the same, but rate is higher hundred times. Rate and a speed of hight adjustments are essential for AAA efficiency: plain is changing its relative position, hight and speed second by second, wind is different on each layer of the lowest atmosphere, so it's extremely hard task to hit a plane with such weapon.
@@user-nm3hn4ou2x Fast firing low-calibre AAA was ineffective against planes at high altitude. That's why heavier calibre guns took over. The larger calibre also allows a much larger high explosive payload, so you don't need to directly hit the target either. Heavier rounds are not as effected by external factors like wind and pressure like lighter rounds are, so you don't really have to take those into consideration while firing. These guns were used en masse, so fire rate is not that relevant either. The rate of adjusting aim isn't really that important as well, because the target is very far away from you. You don't have to adjust it that fast, because you're primarily shooting at targets multiple kilometers above you. The angle towards the target only increases very slowly. If you want to aim at a target at an altitude of 6km and a range of 5km, you need a 50° angle (not including bullet drop etc). If this target moves at 300km/h directly towards you and it takes about 20 seconds to reload and aim your gun, you need to adjust the angle by only 13°. In reality the difference in angle would be even less, as the range towards it, and thus the travel time and drop of the round, have decreased as well.
If the Germans had had tigers in the First World War, or at least pz 3-4, but I think few nations would have remained with their intentions of domination. In the First World War, aviation threw grenades and the release of these grenades was by the hand of the pilot, and not by a button or hydraulics, as everyone is used to now. There is a message in the song, you didn’t include subtitles on it, so you don’t understand this connection at all, it turned out to you like a movie from Hollywood, it doesn’t make any sense.

Indeed it was WW2. Mosin rifle was in production for a long time and USSR had to provide soldiers with some weapons.

This was a russian made, usually the difference between russian and american is the russian put a lot of passion in what they are doing.

Heavier rounds are not as effected by external factors like wind and pressure like lighter rounds are, so you don't really have to take those into consideration while firing. These guns were used en masse, so fire rate is not that relevant either.
The rate of adjusting aim isn't really that important as well, because the target is very far away from you. You don't have to adjust it that fast, because you're primarily shooting at targets multiple kilometers above you. The angle towards the target only increases very slowly. If you want to aim at a target at an altitude of 6km and a range of 5km, you need a 50° angle (not including bullet drop etc). If this target moves at 300km/h directly towards you and it takes about 20 seconds to reload and aim your gun, you need to adjust the angle by only 13°. In reality the difference in angle would be even less, as the range towards it, and thus the travel time and drop of the round, have decreased as well.
