I'm pretty sure actual therapy and medication are the ultimate cure for severe stress and anxiety. Even those aren't really "cures" per say, they just make life with severe stress and anxiety a lot more manageable.

I thought the same thing! Did you also notice that the last time the app says "breathe" it says it in a more smooth and calm way?
Kinda reminded me of working with some sensory sensitive kids. They'd come up to you and ask for a squeeze so you have to give them like a really, really tight hug, which can also get tiring when you have a few kids having a rough day, so you bring out the weighted blankets.
I'm fairly certain Sam actually does this to stressed out employees

This is pretty much exactly what it’s like trying to find the right organizational method for yourself when you have ADHD. I’ve tried day planners, to do lists, various apps, a journal, google calendar, the calendar on my phone, a success log, so many things. Most methods I try are abandoned in under a week.
Ultimately the best method I’ve found for myself is a bullet journal (which is pretty much exactly like the journal Trapp has in this) plus my phone calendar. And, of course, my lovely little pills.
I totally get it, I haven't found what works for me for my ADHD, but I've been working more on my anxiety. This video was painfully accurate 😂

This is exactly how adhd feels honestly, it’s virtually impossible to keep up with everything the average person can keep up with, so when we set up plans that keep track of our time, it feels like everything is happening at once
And you're also listening to the news, and trying to knit, and you're not entirely sure which activity you should be focusing on the most.
@@sadies8100 Yeah I can't understand people who run a TV in the background for "white noise" like I get the concept but the TV would not do it for me it would easily distract me the most, hearing faint voices in the other room is distracting
No idea if I'm ADHD btw, never been checked but I can identify with some symptoms
I have been diagnosed with ADHD but my problem is I need that stuff in the background because I can tune in and split my focus. If I don’t than my ears try to tune in with anything and everything around me which gets me more unfocused from my task. I need to split my focus too maintain focus that’s why I always have a RUclips video playing so I can listen and focus
Even the end is accurate because just having someone there can make everything feel ok again. I wish my friends lived nearby because I guarantee I would rarely feel that extreme stress again.
@@twbillionare9568Similar situation, except part of my problem is that it simultaneously distracts me while helping my brain not get overwhelmed, especially when it comes to work. With medication, I have an easier time choosing to hunker down and focus, and it takes less mental stamina, but the issue remains.

Then i got into the workforce, worked in the ER for a while, started working 80+ hour weeks as an RN who stupidly decided to specialize in Trauma Care, and now i have PTSD, multiple back injuries (when the doctor says stay in the bed...please...stay in the bed...a hospital can actually get sued if a patient falls and gets hurt while disobeying the doctors orders, so nurses, to preserve their job, will try to prevent it...even if the patient is a 480 pound man...)

As a person who sufferers from crippling anxiety and social phobias that affects every daily aspect of my life, I can concur. This is exactly what it felt like going through all these methods, trying to figure out what works as a distraction or coping mechanism. It's just as overwhelming as the disease. & sometimes the best thing to help fix things is a little tlc 🙆.
