The 5 and 5s are pretty much indestructible. My brother doesn’t have a case on his, and he’s accidentally dropped it on concrete and asphalt over a dozen times (it’s even landed screen down before). Whenever I get a new phone, I never use it until I get the case, I continue using my old phone until I have the time to go to go somewhere to buy the case, Otterboxes are pretty dope though, mine is all black and on the S9 it looks really good. and wdym by they don't help your phone? It's supposed to be for protection, not entirely for looks, it's supposed to provide grip and it's bulky because there are multiple layers of protection so if you drop your phone, there is a good chance it won't break
Marquez Fits I said that they are the only ones that really help, if you actually read my comment. But I don't like them. Half-Life Scientist The digitizer is what produces images on a phone screen, to put it simply/crudely. It's what's under the glass screen, and is why some people can crack the glass screen and still see everything just fine and others crack the screen and now have a black rectangle where their Instagram used to be (the digitizer was also damaged when the screen was.) Having a plastic digitizer means that it's less likely to take damage should something happen to the phone, so you don't have to be as cautious with it.
Having to hold it with a death grip, not being able to lightly toss it, and not being able to leave it on a table without fear of damaging it makes the phone objectively worse.
That's got me thinking why don't they make phones that don't need cases that can withstand all that crap they know we're going to do it anyways oh that's right they want us to spend more money
it's not about the glass though. the inner workings are insanely sensitive. a good case is more about shock absorption now instead glass protection. I honestly don't know they don't make them tougher (it's not money, given how most of us buy our cases from a different brand with no monetary ties or deals made with the phone manufacturer...other than maybe apple.). Buuuut your phone, your money, what do I care lol. personally, I'm okay with a bulkier frame as a just in case measure. But if you're not, then go without one, you wildman you :D
Well maybe if you weren't so accustomed to having a case on everything, you wouldn't have been subconsciously less safe when handling your tablet and never would've broken it. Maybe your fear created the problem, instead of the problem creating the fear.
After about a decade of using smartphones, I have finally decided to use my phone without a screen protector (but with a case, I'm not a monster) and it feels like the biggest risk I have ever taken.

In this day and age, why would you use a screen protector on your phone? Haven't used one in at least 6 years. Screen glass has improved by leaps and bounds.
LivePastTheEnd no. No it hasn’t.
Yeahhhhh lol
i have a case on my phone but not a screen protector. oops
I genuinely feel sorry for the Service Protector. He looks like he's been through a lot of these cases.
You mean physical ones or examination ones? Because I feel it could go either setting.

Hahaha I thought so too!
i recently got an iphone 8 and was like “yeah i don’t need a case or a screen protector” long story short.. my screen is cracked now
MaskitMati lol I almost did that with my gs9, and the 20 minutes I had a case off I got a big scratch in my screen
Fun Fact, cases don't help your phone at all. The only thing that helps is a Otterbox and well... It looks like trash.
what do you mean by "trash"
john wayne I did the Otterbox looks like trash? It's a big bully piece of rubber with disgusting flaps and stuff on it. I hate it.
I put a $25 case on my new iPhone and immediately took it off the next day because it’s too bulky. The phone is still fine a year later
This sketch convinced me to stop using a case, at least while I'm in quarantine lol
I had a screen protector, but it came loose a little so I decided to take it. You guessed it, two days later my screen is cracked
I have never owned a phone case.

“I don’t put it on the table, it’s not bulky i keep it in my pocket” yeah girl pockets don’t give that option, case or not :/
I just keep mine in my purse, even when I wear pants with pockets I don't like having my phone there because sweat and all the stuff that happens.
If girls would just wear cargo pants that wouldn't be a problem. There's no legally binding contract declaring women can't wear pants with pockets.
@@misanthropicisolation4013 Not all women like cargo pants and besides, I want to wear jeans too. Or chino pants. And it's hard to find ones with reasonable pockets in women sections.
@@kasiatokomi9116 just wear mens jeans then?
@@lurac5710 I already do that, sure. Just tell me, what about my friend, who can't get mens jeans, as the mens sizes are all too big? Or what about another friend who has wider hips?
Perfect timing... i had no case on my phone yesterday and it fell out of my pocket and shattered.
Jenna Salti damn
Did you not have a screen protector?
Jenna Salti That’s what you get. Happens every time to people who don’t use a case.
Kal oh cool like a few hours ago my brothers friend fixed it and put a new screen on it. I put on my otter box that has just been sitting on my table 😂
Kal I don't have a case and I've been using my phone for 2+ years now and it looks new so what's your point?

You spent to much time on tumblr.
The detective doesn't have a case either.
If you put a case on a Nokia, the case breaks instead of the phone.
That's the idea buddy, with any phone. You'd want the case to break, not the phone.
haha, I get what you're saying, just pullin your leg.
*adds case to a nokia phone
What have i done...
You've made it unstoppable!
You've created a monster... If you ever drop it, it would break the ground and fall all the way to the inner core of the Earth, making it unstable, which would cause a chain reaction leading to the destruction of the entire planet!

Birds can cough. My pet sparrow coughs if she eats food too fast
Thank you sir, i couldn't find the peace of mind to watch the rest of the video with this doubt hanging around
I think that's called choking
Bacon Sir
Coughing is the the same reflex as choking, you're trying to clear your airway. If the bird can choke on the food and then spit it out, then it coughed the food up.
Thats internet gold right here.
Thank you
Excellent performances. That phone protective services agent was on point. This one's gotta be one of my favorites.
Riding off of a cliff with a bike and doing back flips is nothing compared to using a phone without a screen protector and a case
UnPhayzable Yup, i even cycle around and use my phone without any screen protectors or cases. Danger for me: 0, Danger for others: Over limit
Justin Y 2.0?
UnPhayzable i have none of both
never had either. never cracked a single screen or dented a single corner
Playing Russian roulette with 5 bullets isn't NEARLY as dangerous as using an all glass phone without a screen protector and a case.
This is almost exactly what happened with me and my boyfriend. I begged him to get a case and screen protector and he assured me he wouldn’t drop his phone. Then we were in the car and he wanted me to reply to a text for him. I left it on my lap after that and when I stepped out of the car it fell on the ground and cracked.
The Protective Services guy nailed it!

It's Prince still shit
Hendrix Knight the SE is basically a 6s in a 5s body. So the se ain’t too bad that’s why Apple still sells it
It's Prince 6’s are also bollocks
The 5 and 5s are pretty much indestructible. My brother doesn’t have a case on his, and he’s accidentally dropped it on concrete and asphalt over a dozen times (it’s even landed screen down before). It has a few minor dents around the body, but is otherwise unaffected. They are very slow, but unbreakable.😂

i actually hate that they make it so slim. make it durable with longer battery instead
Gabzo Avro but then when you put a case on it it's a brick lol
I hate cases. I like how thin phones are now too. I carry mine in my front pants pocket, so the thinner, the better.

I’m so clumsy 😂
Cody Whitlock Fun Fact, cases don't help your phone at all. The only thing that helps is a Otterbox and well... It looks like trash.
changed your profile picture?
Whenever I get a new phone, I never use it until I get the case, I continue using my old phone until I have the time to go to go somewhere to buy the case, Otterboxes are pretty dope though, mine is all black and on the S9 it looks really good. and wdym by they don't help your phone? It's supposed to be for protection, not entirely for looks, it's supposed to provide grip and it's bulky because there are multiple layers of protection so if you drop your phone, there is a good chance it won't break
Marquez Fits I said that they are the only ones that really help, if you actually read my comment. But I don't like them. They make a thin phone like the Galaxy S9 so much thicker and don't even get me started with the annoying flaps.
They're just clunky and defeats the purpose of the beautiful original design. At least in my opinion.
Me too! I have a lifeproof but looking into rhinoshields
"well you gotta take it out of your pocket" "yeah, it's so bulky"
ITS NOT BULKY BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE A CASE
You wouldnt catch me dead without a case or a screen protector. I always sell my old phones and you get more money if the phone doesnt have any scratches...

There is one problem with cases: overheat. If you always keep the cover on the phone, then it heats up...a lot

The reason you should put a case on your phone is that your friends will definitely drop it
The protective service guy's voice and suit reminds me of Winston Deavor from incredibles 2.
My phone has a plastic digitizer so I drop it all the time with no case and I get no breakes !
Some times cheapness pays !
B_D_W_S'_Animation_ The fuck's a plastic digitizer?
Half-Life Scientist The digitizer is what produces images on a phone screen, to put it simply/crudely.
It's what's under the glass screen, and is why some people can crack the glass screen and still see everything just fine and others crack the screen and now have a black rectangle where their Instagram used to be (the digitizer was also damaged when the screen was.)
Having a plastic digitizer means that it's less likely to take damage should something happen to the phone, so you don't have to be as cautious with it.
Jay G thank you !
Yarib Apple does not make plastic digitizer, it's the clear part you touch.
The digitizer does not produce images. It reads your touch input (analog) and converts it to digital input. The rest is correct.
mike trap: i love how thin my phone is
rehka: then make it thicker rofl 🤣
The way she said it as well though... good stuff
AlreadyInUse _ yeah but parrots actually understand what they are saying in context, not just copying it for no reason.
AlreadyInUse _ chill out, loser
Having to hold it with a death grip, not being able to lightly toss it, and not being able to leave it on a table without fear of damaging it makes the phone objectively worse.
The only ones who are allowed to have no case are Nokia Bricks
I dropped my Nokia on the floor once, it landed corner first. There was indeed a dent... in the floor.
Lol that freakin' unbreakable nokia 😂😂😂
They would break the case anyways
And a Cat S41. Also a brick. But a smart brick.
My Nokia fell down a flight of concrete stairs, the only thing that got hurt was my friend's forehead as it landed on her.
The suit guy is a brilliant actor.
Parents take better care of their phones than their kids
Edit: and by that I meant parents care about their phones and care less about their kids
A kid falls down parents be like "Watch where you goin!"
phone falls down parents be like "PANIC' You okay, boo? You got hurt somewhere?"
Tru story.
I Need More Sleep yep
Keith Treason I meant parents treat the phone well while the same parents treat their kids not so well
I Need More Sleep well they are kids, not adults not that surprising.
the glass thing for wireless charging makes your phone unusable without a case for friction
That's got me thinking why don't they make phones that don't need cases that can withstand all that crap they know we're going to do it anyways oh that's right they want us to spend more money
Capt Zoom they do...
Capt Zoom Phones these days don't need cases. The current version of Gorilla Glass screens is very strong. Just don't throw it on a coffee table.
it's not about the glass though. the inner workings are insanely sensitive. a good case is more about shock absorption now instead glass protection.
Umm... I don't have a case? Duh, not even a screen protector, so if a phone had those two things built in, it would land right over at r/assholedesign
They do... They are called the Nokia 3310.
i get so much anxiety when I see people with no phone case... *shiver*
I drop my phone all the time. So I always buy a case. I didn't get a case for my tablet and I broke it lol. Now I just stick to my phone.
ziljin i see u everywhererrrr u were on sssniperwolfs vid
Same i broke my phone it had no case my new has a case
ziljin I drop my all the time too, sometimes on concrete, and it only has some scratches on the corners. All I have on is a screen protector...
ziljin I've broken my iPod and iPad when they had cases on. I'm not good at holding stuff in my hands
