@@ramadanhalili762 well, big facts say otherwise but still both of them were the best.
@@jensmatthewdawson6997 on my dream team Beckenbauer
would be'Libero , Maldini left defender .
Maldini was pure class for 25 years amazing to think that he started as a right winger in Milan’s academy🤔
To be honest I’d say he could play almost anywhere. He’s definitely make a great holding midfielder....
So believeable
He can play as a midfielder, striker ,winger
Literally everywhere
Dude is insane , he manages to be incredibly aggressive but there’s an intelligence to everything he does. Agressive but never resorting to violence in any of his defending , fucking flawless player
Viva Italia!!
Paolo, the Italian boss, what a power , what a courage.
The scary thing is as a defender he has some dribbling skill.so when he tackle the striker its not easy to take the ball for him.Because when he has the ball on his leg he is look like a midfielder.
people thought come here and see many legendary slides and tackles, but once maldini said "if i have to tackle that means that i've already done a mistake", if you're positioning is good the opponent players doesnt have even the space to challenge you, that's why players like wan bissaka do many good tackles but they always leaves too space for the opponents, to understand the ability of maldini you have to watch the entire match not highlights on yt
I still think Bissaka is quite good
He’s really good at one on ones
But you’re right still 👍
Yet no matter how great Maldini was, he can only help one team to win. Maguire can help EITHER teams to win!
@@aidanjanemcintosh6919 actually he can help 19 teams to win
the way he stops the ball and turns, the wayhe always sacrifices his body it always gives me chills..indeed best defender of all time
Maldini & Puyol
Icons of loyalty & dedication
Best of all time❤
Baresi ? Tassoti ? Costacurta ?

You're insulting Maldini by keeping him at the same level as Puyol. Puyol is trash comapred to Maldini, utter trash.
He played eight champions league finals, EIGHT!!
A has 5
Absolutely a beast there won't be players like maldini again
He was very loyal as well didn't left milan even during their bad times

@@indronilganguly9715 i don't think so, No bad time for milan till he was there.
the way his timing is always perfect, the class of his password and the fact of never being scared no matter who to play against makes him the best defender of all time
The perfect tackle. Wow.
Notice how most of his tackles are clean, harmless and precise. A genius in the art of defending!
His tackles are so clean and precise. And boy, he was pretty fast in his prime! (A younger AC Milan fan who only witness Maldini in his late 30s here, he was still damn good back when i see him too, though)
I think he is even the greatest player ever. He has all the skills you need in a football player and is the best at most of them, he also has the greatest career, his consistency and character was unbelievable. Paolo Maldini the greatest football player of all time for me
+1

I agree he is like a LB CB RB RWF he is everywhere he amazed me I love maldini one of the best players I’ve ever watched
He is the best defender of all time but best footballer would be Messi or Maradona.
My favourite defender in football ❤️❤️❤️❤️ poulo maldini 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Io ho Scirea e ho detto tutto.

My 5yo son started watching Maldini videos and suddenly leaps of progress in his defending. Even his coach was like what happened and then I just said he started watching Maldini.
You could see the admiration for that name in the coach's eyes
No question, greatest defender the world has ever seen, his slide tackles were insane.
Impresionante aquella Italia.
A great defender with positional awareness as his core asset, and always 100% commitment to a challenge. 👏
His tackle was the most effective and best , I have not seen any defender as good as him as of today . He was looking at the ball and I noticed alot of defenders are looking at boday language /movement .
He was not a player, but a warrior 🪖 on pitch ..
Salute to incredible legend 🙌
After seeing this Video,My respect for him is increasing 20times or more than that.and from now I will say him Sir Maldini .
The greatest ever centre back in the history of football and he is incomparable to others🙏🙏🙏🙏😀😇💪💪
Ma cosa diamine era?! IMMENSO! non miglior terzino, ma, miglior DIFENSORE AL MONDO! p.s. good compilation man!
He had the accuracy and speed of a forward combined with his incredible defensive talent making him one of the most complete players I’ve ever seen. Truly the greatest
reading the game..tackling... leadership... calm... the complete package from a defender... friends and even opponents really respect him... it's hard to find someone like him in this era
The most clean and elegant defender in the history of the game no doubt in my mind
And all this insanely deadly slide tackles with zero red cards in his whole career, what a legend he is!!
I believe he has 3 in like 903 games for Milan. Still unbelievable

He made an art from sliding
Clean tackle. Always aim for the ball. Not the legs. What a legend.
Very smooth tackle no foul bravo maldini your legend
I didn’t have a chance to watch his father played but I was lucky enough to see him on the field. He is truly one of the best defender ever born.
Simply the greatest defender to ever grace a field...he read a game like no other.
Paolo Maldini is THE DEFENDER, absolute legend.
His tackles are so clean!
Maldini from another planet.
8 champions league finals. EIGHT
Plus one World Cup and euro final
And won 4 of them
@@indronilganguly9715 won 5 of them
But what hurts is his self-disappointment, he felt a failure after being unable to win the WC 1994 and Euro 2000, but, misfortunes often occur, and at least he did his best
Maldini didn't care about LB CB RB he did it all never injured in 25 yrs of defending from the 90s to 00s true legend
Only 3 red cards in 901 games in Milan

He was not a defender! He was Defense itself!!! A God of the game. Surly the greatest defender of all time must be an Italian, and that is Paolo Maldini of course... the master of tackles. FORZA MILAN!!!
I miss seeing him on our National Team. It horrible that this man never won a world cup. grazie per tutti gli anni fantastici. forza italia.

As a defender, seeing these defending clips gives me a similar feeling to a striker seeing beautiful goals
His reaction and timing is Accurate plus Speed, his so fast and very Quick.... Wow 😲
His ability to get up so fast from slide tackles, i think is what made him a cut above the rest.
I'll love him forever.
We miss you, Mr Defender !

Simply extraordinary! I always had big respect for this man while I was still quite young.. He is a really one of a kind, a true legend. La squadra azura was a team of legends!!!
As Juve fan, I totally agree 👍
He used to set up a show on the left side .... beautyful to watch too: his defence had style.
But he was so effective and passionate too. Athletic and technic at the highest level, winning mentality and heart of a champion.
Correct and respectful.
He had all.
He would dominate nowadays too

Better than Sergio Ramos
Who????
Duh
@@marziogiorgetti8528 Paolo Maldini of course, no comparisons.
no way to compare ramos to maldini
He is the greatest for his longevity and qualities. Playing against the greatest offensive players in the toughest league, makes you realise how great he was. The Muhammad Ali of defending.
his tackling was not too shabby ..man what a player
Destro e sinistro, estro e talento, difende, imposta, fa gol.... Chapeau grande campione.
Ps: e non sono milanista!!!
The literal definition and example of how a defender should be
When I think about Fair Play the first player who comes in my mind is Paolo Maldini! Strong but elegant, tough defender but he always tackled searching for the ball
His sliding tackles were to perfection, never tackled the man but the ball, that requires some skill man.
Italy really has legendary defender
