I totally agree what he says about these new car fresh out in the market like GR86, 2022 Supra GR, 2022 Nissan Z (Fairlady Z) and more goes the list. Its hard to debate with you decision to spend $60K on a new car that has zero mileage or getting a iconic/legendary JDM car that will cause more maintenance down the road and that depreciates more when you drive it and put some more mileage in to it. That is one of my concerns if when I’m saving money can I put that money in to a brand new car or getting a JDM car that will work more along the way? Great video in these auction out in Japan.

Japan Auto Auctions is not the only place to get JDM cars, we actually source out cars in all corners of the world. There are times its cheaper to buy cars here in Australia than in Japan, specially for the US market. Specially defected jdm cars, because of some aftermarket parts, etc. Some owners can't be bothered spending money to fix the defect, and they sell their cars cheaper. But we make more money on high end unicorn JDM's

I live in Canada and can tell you for sure 100 percent that if you don't have any experience importing cars from over seas don't. The cost of import is huge. The market value on these vehicles is very high at this point in time. If you watch the market you can get a great deal but it takes time and patience. In short yes buying a car at a Japanese auto auction is feasible. So long as you live in Japan. If your in Canada not so much. I imported a skyline a few years ago and it got crushed at the Canadian border. Lost my money and only answer I got was contaminated...

I'd take that R33 GTR in a heartbeat... to keep it in Japan obviously... The low milleage R34 is really clean! I would not worry at all about the rust underneath, for me, from Canada, it is nothing! We don't have as bad rusted cars as in Okinawa but it is quite close, but cars rust from underneath...

I live in ohio the rust belt u can buy a spary paint style stuff that turn rust back into a paint able surface. Makes repairs easy unless it's just completely fxxked

Grade three is about right for the Civic IMO. Grade three means it's in pretty bad shape and will need a lot of work to bring back to spec.
