Oh man... you just about gave away my panfish secret. For the past 2 years I've been doing something similar with 3" Bass Pro Stik-O's. I cut them into 6 pieces and then thread spinner bait skirt material through them. Bluegill, Red Ears, Crappie and Bass eat them up. My second fish on my "panfish" prototype was a 5 lb. bass. If anyone doesn't believe me, look at my ins#$$ gram. Those are the prototypes. I have refined them into what I described here. I do fish them on ultra lite tackle. Usually 6 lb braid with a 1 foot - 18" leader and weightless. When the Bluegill and Crappie are bedding... yup. It's the deal. I'm catching a ton of fish when other anglers aren't. I have gone to a bed right after someone left because they weren't catching anymore and caught a bunch of fish. Some up to 8" which is a good size for the pond I used to fish in the most.
As fad as the price of these go and with Fothergill winning at leech lake, I really hope Z-man does a version withh the Elaztech material. I dont mind spending 20 bucks a pack if they work and theyre fun. But i wanna know there's some durability to em
Bass eat everything that moves unless its bit them back repeatedly. And some still dont care. See something new 'swimming' through the water they gonna slurp it up.
I cut up a plastic worm, install a plastic tube around the cut piece, install a hook through the plastic tube (to prevent early loss of the bait), and finally thread flash threads into the cut plastic worm with a needle.
When I use a bubblegum worm I wonder what that even represents. I have owned cats in my day and I think a bass is like a cat. They will ignore an amazing looking toy and chase the shoe string. Its all about ambushing their prey so anything presented in their zone is probably something to attack.
There's 0 reason to buy these at all. Buy some skirt material and get a tiny crochet hook and cut your worn out soft plastics into blocks ans go to town making your own.
I do the same thing with pieces of Yum dingers and old skirts off a jig or spinnerbait. Glad you included that at the end
Yes, absolutely @paulb7943! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Glenn for your suggestion on creating your own version of these baits.

EVERYONE will be offering their own version of this bait soon enough, plus many more variants. This is just the beginning.

this is discussed and demonstrated in the video
They work so well because, just like people, bass love spaghetti with meatballs.
LOL! You got that right! Thanks for watching, @7michael7getachew7!
Gee crack came out with round one
Yep, and I expect all kinds of plastic creature baits with rubber skirt appendages to hit the market soon.
@@bassresource ya for sure
Seems like a small mouth bait….no small mouth here in Fla
It works for largemouth too!
Now show us how to make that bait powder Taku won with 😏
LOL! I don't know how to make it, but I know it's Nories Bite Powder: www.kkjapanlure.com/products/nories-bite-powder-shrimp-new.html
Baby powder and fish tank food flakes. You’re welcome!

20 dollars a pack there is no way!! I see if your a pro angler buying some ! As casual angler just use a senko same concept
Did you see the part in the video where it shows how you can make your own?
I've had Gamakatsu straight out so I went to Lazer Sharpe
When was that? A few decades ago?
Huh? "Straight" out. ?

See, if you had watched the video, you'd know this is discussed and demonstrated in the video.
