You gotta Love Jack Nicholson, the guy is utterly unpredictable. When he flashes that smile, you can't tell if he's about to clap you on the back or feed you to his pet bengal tiger.
The funny thing is, I can totally picture Nicholson having a pet Bengal tiger! "(In Nicholson's voice) Well, yes, I'll admit Punjab here is a rather unusual choice for a pet, but I feel as though a man of my means shouldn't have to settle for a more mundane pet. He's better cared- for here than he would be in his rapidly- decreasing habitat, and also certainly more effective for security than a mere guard dog would be! As to how he came to be in my possession, I'm friends with a certain gentleman in India who specializes in acquiring exotic animals as pets for people like myself. Something like this could certainly raise eyebrows in customs, but hey, that's what private jets and bribes are for!"

Yeah. I was just on my break at work (Teacher's assistant), and feeling extremely angry and frustrated ,like the next provocation would make me blow. I then was inspired to just remember this scene, and I instantly smiled and began humming and giggling to it!
Thats whats so hard about comedy acting and how the people who do it are so skilled. When I'm acting out a funny scene i find it really hard not to laugh to! xD
Jack Nicholson is easily in the top 5 all time actors. Nobody in the world could make this scene but him. Not to take anything away from Sandler, because he's great as well, but Nicholson is a genius.
Who's ur top 5 of all time? It's too many to name Nicholson, Depp, Daniel Day Lewis, Cruise, Pitt, Washington, Jackson, DiCaprio, Streep, McKellan, Costner and to name a few.
For you people that don't understand the cliché ; "there's a method in the madness" well then this scene is a really good example of what that cliché means. Adam Sandler needs to calm his ass down A LOT. Jack Nicholson eventually ends up teaching him when he should justifiably be angry and when he should let the minor inconveniences of life not bother is overall happiness.
perfectly put!! Adam Sandler kept getting bothered and angry at inconvenient things and Didn't get angry or stood his ground for important things like someone stealing his girlfriend in the movie or in airplane scene when someone takes his seat
We are truly blessed to have JN still with us. Jack is a mad man when it comes to acting. He always brings a part of himself to the role. Yet, creates believable characters we'll always remember. Thanks Jack!!! Keep on making those classics Sir.
The whole scene is genius, but I'm at the end of my breath every time that one guy drives by and screams "Burn in hell!!!" I can't take it, the intensity of his scream makes me cry with laughter :-)))
If you really analyze the movie, Buddy was using all sorts of psychological methods to help Dave overcome many different issues throughout the movie. Not only for his anger, but for anxiety, frustration, and sense of inferiority at work. At several points in the movie, you can see how Buddy is also manipulating him in order for him to grow. An awesome movie.
so this movie is about tackling Adam Sandler's implosive anger the whole set up was planned by the person sitting next to him whos an anger management therapist in the movie. in this one scene he makes adam sandler confront most of his anger issues - embarrassed that women heard him talking about brstt implants, flight attendants ignoring him and he felt ignored unimportant, the first guy telling him to go sit in another seat so his unwillingness to confront the first guy, his anxiousness everything and then the court orders him to either go jail or take anger management therapy from nicholson the director and writer was way ahead!! This movie is gold standard as it teaches you to be bold and confront that means put forward your views instead of internally exploding anger
I try as hard as I can to sing "I feel pretty" whenever I'm frustrated on the road. Doesn't work though - I always end up as the 'burn in hell' guy.....
This is actually something that a lot of people could benefit from. Like for example some car drivers are so damn stressed out that they cannot even wait for a pedestrian to cross the streets without honking the horn, and god forbid if someone walking at normal walking speed ends up in front of them when they are going somewhere.
when we have legitimate anger we need to feel it and forgive but if you cant forgive at the moment after you feel it the right way and think about it and express it the right way, you can choose to let it go instead of getting mad and it really does help to sing a happy song and choose positive thoughts at that moment as long as they are genuine
I totally lost it when Jack started singing " La la la la la la la la la la la la"! That facial expression and Adam looks at him in disbelief was hilarious!
I don't care about classics and best movies in history, this is definitely one of the closest movies to my heart!! Something is really addictive in this movie, I love Adam and Jack, and I love the story as well. It's very sad we don't see them on screen anymore
I came home from work pissed the one day and my wifey wanted to watch this movie, needless to say I was in tears at this part his facial expressions did it for me and also i just smoked a bunch of weed while we was watching.😆
I believe they Both deserve more than an Oscar for making this scene memorable for centuries to come.
