So this is a video that describes the step by step process I used to get my medical degree EPIC verified for the GMC. Allow me to clarify all the confusion around EPIC verification, EPIC Identification Form, EPIC Physician portal, Notarycam and ECFMG.

Hi abdul. Don't worry about signing the EIF. When the notary interview starts they will unlock the document and you will be able to sign it right there and then.

So for each degree we have to do separate verification and pay separately for each? I have done MBBS and DCH.

Other than the regular Mailing service, Epic gives an option of Courier Service and charges extra for that, Would you recommend going for that?

Just general questions. Confirm your name, date of birth, etc. Just have your passport with you at the notarycam interview.

Dear Dr, I just finished notarycam verification. When I came back to EPIC account and open my credentials, there is no upload options and it showed: you do not have a valid EPIC identification form on file. So I asked from chatbox to Notarycam verifying agent, she asked me to wait for 3 days.
What does it mean when your EIF is "created" ? Do we need to wait until it says "verified " and then upload the credentials ?

No. Well atleast I didn't have to. Can't say how they will treat every other individual application. But generally no.

For the epic verification of your medical degree, you only need the degree.
Hi love this video, it was super helpful. I do have on more question though. If you already applied for usmle via form 186 and now you are applying for plab. Do you need to make another notarycam account and start the process all over again or you need use the same one?

Very informative. Thank you for uploading it. Did you send documents for verification through regular airmail or courier service to your certificate issuing institute in Pakistan. As I am in the same boat, and need your sincere advice on that.
Oh I was in Pakistan when I went through the process. So I was able to sort out things in person.

I have a question brother....i have an ecfmg account(when i gave usmle step1 in 2019) and i did a notarycam at that time....does that help in epic verification for the GMC or should i start from the beginning with the verifivation process?

For me it was 3 days. But from the comments I've noticed it can be a bit longer (5-7 days).

i have a query.
The uploaded certificate should contain the exact date of passing or it is okay to have only year and month ?
GMC asks for documents containing an exact date. But i'm not a 100% on what epic wants. Try calling them and they should resolve this query fairly quickly.

Very helpful video, though I have a question- I finished me epic verification of my primary medical degree last year, now I finished MRCPCh degree and I need to verify it again to epic, so do I have to repeat the whole process again means notary cam thing or I can directly upload my degree in my credentials for epic.
I would imagine you would only have to verify your identity once.

Ah that depends on how you register with the gmc. If you go through plab route then only MBBS degree. Don't worry about signing it. That process will be explained to you when you are on call with the notarycam.

You can track the progress on your Epic Account. It will say when they have reached out to the uni. You can reach out to your uni at that point in time or earlier if you want to be proactive.

In the last step u have mentioned about tracking the progress of the verification by the university. Is it verified electronically or through paper mail? And is it verified by the university or by the medical school? Could you clear this up.
Well see it might be different for everyone depending on how your institution operates. In my case it was my medical colleague that verified it electronically. If you want to know how it is for yourself then it would be worth speaking to an admin person in your university about it.

Can I upload my provisional degree certificate issued by the University? Or only permanent degree is valid? I will receive my final degree next year but I will hopefully pass both the PLABs before that.
One of my friends (from different University of the same state) have been rejected the provisional degree... If my verification is rejected at the 2nd step, do I have to pay 100 USD again for that?
Hi! Please be aware that your original degree is needed for EPIC verification. Wait till you have your final one.
Do you know if we can book PLAB by provisional degree certificate??
@Charmaine Sayi you just need your pass date of final year exams to book the plab 1 and ielts/oet. There is no need for the degree. You'll need your degree down the line to get your GMC lisence.

Their website should say what was acceptable form of ID. I only remember passport.

Thank you for your kind words! I have not been through the process of verifying a post graduate degree so I can't say. The GMC will lay out if this is a requirement for your registration with them or not.

Nice video doctor. I have a question about uploading on My credentials. Do you just need to upload one file? Like just choose which one from the diploma, transcript, post grad certificate or licensure certificate? Coz each one of those cost $100. Thank you
What you upload depends on what you are trying to get verified and for what purpose. If you are doing this to register with the gmc via the plab route then you only need to upload your medical degree/diploma. It should say on their website what to do incase you have more than one page to your document.

Hi sir, Great video! definitely the best video out there on this process. I had a query. I have applied for step 1 usmle too, which means I have already done form 186 passport notary cam verification. Plus I got my medical school degree verified when i logged into my ecfmg portal (usmle). Does this change the EPIC process in any ways? Thank you!
Good question. I'm sorry but I don't know if it changes things. Please do post here when you find the answer to benefit others in a similar situation.

The attendance end date is considered as the date when your internship ends? Or when the final year ends?

Thank you. Sorry I'm not sure if a transfer has any consequences. As far as I know they only want your final medical degree for verification.

Hi Dorji. Generally it's Email. Thats the way they did it for me. But I can't guarantee what it will be like in different countries for different universities.

Hello i need this to send to norway health system but im also looking for plab as option if norway doesnt accept and planning to give plab in next year.. for that my question is once u send the link to one country registration and if i want to send again . For gmc in 1 year later do i have to repeat the process again or can we send this to 2 countries or get ourself and later send to respective countries.?

Like I don’t have PMC Licence (RMP) but I do hold provincial license (PRMP) bcos NLE not passed yet. So can I give plab exam without these things and get verification from epic and done gmc registration ?

You should be able to. But I believe there will be a fee for that.

Why should I wait to send the epic report to GMC only when giving plab 2 ? Cant I send it two months before my exam ?
You can. No restriction. I chose to do it that way because that's the sweet spot where you can expect to register with the GMC within the next year. If you do it too soon and don't register with the gmc then you end up having to send the gmc the report again which could cost around 50 GBP or so.

Hi. They send your ID in an email with further instructions on how to complete the EIF.
And they send your temporary logins in another email. Have you checked all your inboxes including junk?
Sir you only mentioned about GMC, what if a person wishes for IMC and AMC as well. Do we have the option to send to multiple councils. 2nd do we have to send the verified documents to the council right away after setting up an account or we can wait till the appropriate time ? You can wait to send the documents at the right time. Secondly sorry but I at the moment don't have much information about IMC/AMC. A topic for future discussion perhaps.

Yes. You will have to contact your medical college for this. Not PMC.
Hi! I just completed the first stage of the epic verification. I got the mail to wait for 3 days. But I the image I uploaded of my passport doesn't have my address😢 I accidentally uploaded only the first page of my passport!

First page is fine. Even if they have an objection they will simply ask you to reupload so don't worry.
In step 2 of verification, I have uploaded and filled in my ID in the notary cam page, while finally clicking on the "continue" button, why does it say "something went wrong"

Are you using the latest version of chrome? And are you using your laptop? Sometimes it doesn't work on old versions of Web browsers and cell phones
