    Great video!!! Loved it!! One thing you could do to make the lid lifter better is bend it to a 75° angle so you don't have to be so close to the fire and then just adjust the taper that lifts the lid!!! But great video keep it up!!

      You could use a steel rim from a car or truck, that work well.

    You should make a traditional trammel hook so the height of the pot can be easily adjusted without having to remove or add chain links.

    I am also getting into cast iron cooking. Get her a griswold. Best iron ever made that lodge is junk. The new stargazer looks to be a great skillet too.

    If you are cooking and your tripod is on brick. Id reccomend adding an anti kick chain on the base
