Your music never fails. From rapping to singing you are a wonder to the music world.
What I've always loved about CeeLo's music is that it challenges you to get out of your stagnant box. Growing up in the '80s in Decatur, GA I saw a lot of K-Tel commercials that played snippets of rock and country artists that I never heard on the local radio stations. Slim Whitman, Red Sovine, Tennessee Earnie Ford, Waylon Jennings, etc. Additionally, since cable television wasn't in every house, we had limited TV stations we could watch so we were exposed to Western films like The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Shane, and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon as well as shows like Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Have Gun Will Travel. I'm saying this to say that even if neither Country nor Western music was the chosen music in the Metro Atlanta park BBQ's, CeeLo's "The Way" really isn't much of a stretch as much as it is a familiar genre for nappy-headed brothers like me from right off of Columbia Road in Decatur Georgia. More creatives like CeeLo should expand their creativity to include other genres of music.

CeeLo, you are incredibly talented and very skilled in production/sound quality. Your voice and how you project it... your notes are off the charts, and there is so much passion pouring out from you. You are an icon...so damn clever...I love R&B. Grew up with The Isley Bros., Ohio Players, Confunction, Parliament.. George Clinton, Gap Band, Chaka and Rufus (Weren't they the origin of Rap btw), Lee Michaels, Earth, Wind and Fire, James Taylor, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, LaBelle, Anita Baker, LLCool J, The Fat boys, Run DMC. I could go on, and I did, but RnB, and Soul music,vwell I can never get enough of all of it. Probably because I am a classically trained drummer/percussionist, and my last band was a Reggae band. We opened for Big Head Todd and John Bailey. And my band is on RUclips under Lively Up Yourself Cool Runnings, but I was a single mom finishing college and I was feeling pretty disengenous playing Reggae, and Keith, our lead singer kept faking a Jamaican accent, and I quit that band. We just had a 25th year reunion, and it was so nice to see everyone. So, I carry my sticks everywhere, because everything is a drum ..but I mostly taught myself guitar, and that's what I really love...I write songs because it's a way to process painful things, and maybe heal. I never want or wanted to be in the public eye, and after all the bars, cars, cocaine and alcohol, gigging every week, day,
for years, I can't imagine playing out again. But I love love love to Jam, caliberate and just enjoy fully what it feels like. I have been homeless with my amazing wonder dog so really he is my priority. When the Owner of an Airbnb saw me sweeping his porch, when I stayed there, and liked my integrity, and his beautiful clean porch, he gave me and Buster an incredible deal. Summer came and prices go up, so I would leave, and I can still go back, but the Colorado Coalition is putting a bunch of us up at a motel and I am so very grateful.... miracles are always happening. ...At Dave's Airbnb I would go to the common room with a really smart sound system...and I would crank the FUCK YOU SONG, And I would be jamming OUT TO YOU....then some Lizzo, man, I refuse to stay or stand down.....mebe I will qqw
