Thank you so much Matt! I really appreciate the effort and detail of your reviews and presentation. A lot went into Pure so I’m glad to see how well it performs on your hair!
TheSalonGuy why don’t you make them in bigger version !!? I have long hair and this is probably going to last me 1 month ); please make them a little bigger lol
been waiting for the review for awhile as i also purchased the set. been quite happy so far. smells great. and does show a difference compared to other shampoo/conditioner products that claim to do the same.
TheSalonGuy no problem Stephen. Btw, awesome announcement about Slikhaar. I met the Emil and Rasmus at an event and they are as genuine as can be. Can’t wait for your products my friend ✌🏼
Wow. You're so nice. Your content is no clickbait and no bullshit. Appreciate it but how can a channel with this high quality and honesty have this low viewers? I mean this could seriously be like 500k channel with this quality. Straight up and no bullshit I hecking love it. Much love mate!
I ordered the shampoo and the conditioner a year ago, tried other natural shampoo after and I have to say Pure is the best balance for me, the other natural shampoo worked but my hair remained a bit greasy looking, the Pure shampoo doesn’t strip your hair down completely but gives it a nice healthy look and it feels good too, will re order soon.
Tried this before. It's good. But for amount and cost the Marc Anthony range is better and more cost effective. Tried their coconut and shea shampoo and conditioner and my hair never felt softer and hydrated. $ 9.90. Trust me.
Very interesting. I will actually try both of them tomorrow, and it is nice to hear about them from you. Can you make a review about Fuertes Clau too? Thank you for your reviews, they are really amazing!
Thank you so much! All of your videos are amazing! I can safely say that thanks to you men I now own a very good quality blow dryer, I have the best pre and post styler, which have given me the best results possible! And now with this video I’m sure as hell going to have a great shampoo and conditioner combo! Seriously men thank you so much for your videos! My hair is now at its best and it’s all thanks to you and your recommendations! Thank youuu!
Great review as always Matt. I gotta admit I was a little skeptical with your reviews about the Salon Guy at the beginning, but now I understand after buying and using 25 and clutch. I was looking for something like this, as I fell my shampoo(not cheap at all) makes my hair super dry. I was thinking on buying aveda Shampure(maybe a review about it would be nice too) as I love Aveda products. But I think Im going with this one.
I appreciate the honesty man! Truth is Stephen’s stuff just does wonders for my hair haha. I’m glad you’re liking 25 and Clutch and I’m sure you’ll love Pure as well! 🙌🏻
Hey Matt, so far i really do like Clutch by the salon guy in terms of the best water based clay because the way it is easy to apply to the hair and washes out really easily.
This current cut is a 1/1.5 clipper on the sides (disconnected up to the part on the left side, and blended on the right side), and the top is about 4 inches long at the front and tapered to about 2 inches at the back. Technically I'd still consider it a "disconnected undercut" and kind of asymmetrical since it's blended on one side.
I like those ingredients a lot! I just wish SalongGuy offered small travel size (1 oz) containers of his products so I could check them out before buying the full sizes. My scalp is sensitive to a lot of shampoos/conditioners ("scalpne" 😖) so I typically like to try before I fully buy
I know he does offer travel sizes of Clean & Condition and his Fortify shampoo/conditioner, so you could always try those :) Clean & Condition is another absolute favorite of mine and still amazing stuff, although I think Pure is even better. Who knows, maybe he'll offer travel sizes of Pure in the future!
Patrick Kendrick no travel sizes yet but this is designed to soothe a sensitive scalp and has healing properties. It’s really one of a kind. You won’t be disappointed!
Have you tried the Hemp shampoo and conditioner from The Salon Guy? Looks like the ingredients are nearly exact with the addition of hemp seed oil @TheSalonGuy
Yeah I’ve been using them for a while. Amazing stuff! I believe Stephen said he started with the base of the Pure formula and changed some things, added hemp oil etc but don’t quote me on that, I might be wrong.
Thinking about grabbing these tomorrow. Would you still recommend the shampoo and conditioner? I know the “volume” set is out, but I’m really liking the “pure” line
Definitely, the Pure set is great. Volume set is good for fine haired folks, where I feel Pure is better for multiple hair types. And Pure I think just has more hair/scalp benefits in general.
The price that you mentioned in the video was $19.99 for the bottle if you buy it individually, but when i checked the price on his site it was $24.99 for a bottle. I don’t know why he went up on the prices for them to be mentioned tho i already bought the duo of them, but i tend to use more shampoo than the conditioner so i be running out fast on it. Also my hair is fine and it’s thinning but am still losing hair every time i wash my hair. So when do you think this duo will show the result after using it ?
I believe he had to increase his prices slightly due to increased cost of production, shipping, etc. If you buy the duo together it is still a good price, plus he just reformulated them so now they are silicone-free and actually work even better than before. As far as the DHT blocking aspect I am not sure of how long it may take to show a visible effect, sorry.
I been trying to find out how to treat my hair. Just in the last two or three months my scalp has been scabbing and forming pus pockets. I tried T/Gel Shampoo and it calm down the itchiness but did not stop it. I then tried Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, it helped the most. However, I still am experiencing scabbing and these pus bumps that seem to be balding the area they infect. Pls respond
Pure is good for colored hair - it is color safe. Other good options are Moroccanoil and Amika. Redken makes some good stuff too, Xmondo, and many others.
Should last you longer than that - you can get away with using very little. My wife and I have both been using mine and they still lasted about 2.5 months!
Tanish Tiwari its depends on what style you want. If you want a super textured look than definitely sea salt spray, but if you want max volume then mousse would be best
Generally speaking, a pre-styler also acts as a heat protectant. What heat protectants really do is protect from too much moisture being sucked out of your hair when drying, so having any kind of product in there that has to dry off before your hair will provide some level of protection. So I would say go for a prestyler instead of something that's solely a heat protectant, since essentially it's a two-in-one.
It doesn’t outright say it provides heat protection but any layer of product in your hair innately provides at least some protection. Maybe not as much as others, but it’s something. Either way as long as you’re not holding the hair dryer in the same spot for 5 minutes, you’ll be fine.
Hey man great presentation as always! I was wondering how does Pure compare to Clean in performance ? And is this shampoo smooth on the hair during the wash or is it pully ? Thank you ✌🏻
MISTAGSS no tug at all it’s very smooth. The shampoo alone makes your hair feel amazing. It’s a bit different than clean is that it has more benefits for fighting hair loss and promoting thicker hair growth. It was created with a more specific intent that clean.
Thanks! Yeah man like Stephen said, it’s super smooth and even just the shampoo feels like you’ve done an oil cleanser. For me I find Pure to make my hair even softer and healthier than Clean, which is crazy haha!
they should distribute their products in Asia too.. I dont say I 100% buy all their products but I cannot find any of their products in my country. Indonesia.. ( blumaan etc sells pretty good amount in here )
Brian Leister for the way it lathers, only needing one pump, the ingredients and benefits, not expensive at all. Yes if you are used to spending $3.99 than maybe.
I disagree. Any salon quality shampoo/conditioner generally runs about $25 for an 8oz bottle (for example, look at any of the Moroccanoil or Paul Mitchell products). So actually, these are a bit cheaper than the norm, especially for the ingredients in them. And like I mentioned in the video, you use so little at a clip that the bottles will last you likely a few months.

Thanks man! This stuff truly is incredible so I hope I did a good job showcasing how well it works for me. Keep up the good work! 💪🏻

God...that blue hair..... I just want it so badly 😎😎
Pulp Riot turquoise is the color, if you want to get it done at your salon!
TDM Style thank you so much...the color is very smooth and catchy..!!
Thanks!! I’m obsessed with it haha

Is it worth €20? 8 oz is pretty decent. What about his volume shampoo?
Hey Matt, so far i really do like Clutch by the salon guy in terms of the best water based clay because the way it is easy to apply to the hair and washes out really easily.
Brian Kop thx so much!
Happy that you're liking it man!
Exactly what haircut do you get? I do like your hairstyle and length, how would I explain it to my barber/stylist?
This current cut is a 1/1.5 clipper on the sides (disconnected up to the part on the left side, and blended on the right side), and the top is about 4 inches long at the front and tapered to about 2 inches at the back. What’s in your opinion the best shampoo an conditioner out in the market
I know there’s a lot u could name but for u what’s ur favorite ( an go to )
have you tried the Monarch matte paste by blumaan?
Coming soon 😉
Can you review the hemp set by the salon guy
Soon 👍🏻

Definitely go see a doctor, that’s something that needs to be checked out by a medical professional.
Suggest me a good pre and post styler (fine hair)
are these the best salon guy shampoo and conditioner for someone with oily fine straight hair?
You might like his Volume set - still nice and conditioning but they help to add a lot of body to the hair, so they're really good for finer hair.
Okay so I have color rise hair and I dye my hair a lot and I was wondering what good shampoo for Pure that I actually can use
Pure is good for colored hair - it is color safe. Other good options are Moroccanoil and Amika. Redken makes some good stuff too, Xmondo, and many others.
I’ve seen that u massaged the conditioner on the scalp but isn’t it bad?
Nah. Some will say it adds to conditioner buildup, but as long as you rinse it out thoroughly it’s fine.
I have shoulder length hair I feel like these bottles are going to last me about two weeks maybe three :/ .
Should last you longer than that - you can get away with using very little. My wife and I have both been using mine and they still lasted about 2.5 months!
It’s currently out of stock everywhere ,man that sucks
I’m sure it will be back soon!
Does this shampoo get rid of dry itchy scalp?
Most likely. It is designed to sooth the scalp and the conditioner is very moisturizing.
Bro which will be better pre styler mousse or sea salt spray
Tanish Tiwari its depends on what style you want. If you want a super textured look than definitely sea salt spray, but if you want max volume then mousse would be best
Would anyone recommend these products for curly hair?
My hair actually is quite curly before blow drying, so yes!
Is this better than Moroccanoil?
Both are awesome sets tbh, it’s hard to choose. Both are in my regular rotation! I think the Pure set is more hydrating.
I can buy only one product which it should be pre styler or heat protectant
Generally speaking, a pre-styler also acts as a heat protectant. What heat protectants really do is protect from too much moisture being sucked out of your hair when drying, so having any kind of product in there that has to dry off before your hair will provide some level of protection. So I would say go for a prestyler instead of something that's solely a heat protectant, since essentially it's a two-in-one.
TDM Style Bro I generally use Toni & guy sea SALT spray , it doesn't have heat protection feature. Does it protect my hair
It doesn’t outright say it provides heat protection but any layer of product in your hair innately provides at least some protection. Maybe not as much as others, but it’s something. Either way as long as you’re not holding the hair dryer in the same spot for 5 minutes, you’ll be fine.

TDM Style sounds great man! Btw Keep doing this shampoo reviews and possibly comparisons if you can! You really deserve more subscribers.
they should distribute their products in Asia too.. I dont say I 100% buy all their products but I cannot find any of their products in my country. Indonesia.. ( blumaan etc sells pretty good amount in here )
ian jimmy my products are just being brought on to slikhaar shop!
It contains Silicon
Silicon-based ingredients are not bad. I talk about this in my recent "All about ingredients" video in more detail.
Too expensive.
TheSalonGuy I use L’anza shampoo and conditioner. It’s $27 for 10 ounces at the salon.
I mean this stuff is $19.99 for 8.45oz so the price is not that different than what you’re paying now. Cheaper really when you compare the size.
