@@interceptingfist5682but this tournament had all the japanese players who are not attending to pther tournaments, most of the best players in the world were here
I'm so sad for Nephew, he was just that close, but that's what happened when you come from the loser bracket. He play out of his mind for that stretch. Better luck next run. Congratulation to Shuto of course, we got a moment of Shin Goku Satsu back view * Tien* moment. Nice work Shuto. Back to back now a premier capcom qualifier and 2 japanese player took the spot. Great job.
@@ds6972 oh right, this one is the bigger one. So both get in but still after watching him playing like that it's kinda a bummer going out losing a close one like that.
Before the Pros can successfully prosecute the case that Akuma is the best SF6 character, can somebody please confirm how many tournaments Akuma won at Grand Final since his release in May 2024 and their respective title description to their RUclips videos? Below are the 5 search results for Zangief's 5 Grand Final wins recorded in RUclips. I can only think of 4 Grand Tournament wins with Akuma. 1.First Attack 2024 - 🇩🇴MENARD VS URIEL VELORIO🇲🇽 GRAND FINALS *Street Fighter 6* 2.MenaRD (Zangief) vs. Dual Kevin (Rashid) - Grand Final - CPT Cream City Convergence 2024 3.GRAND FINAL ITABASHI zangief VS IDOM - East Coast Throwdown - Capcom Pro Tour 2024 4.This is the CRAZIEST Zangief of all time!! TOPANGA CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL LEAGUE Kobayan VS Kawano 5.No One Expected Zangief to Win This Tournament
Nephew overplayed his wake up reversals and wake up level 3's. You can see at the end he tried it one last time in the corner and Shuto baited it out with a block then finished... He also didn't play to Shuto's strengths. Shuto drive checked and parried Nephew a lot, and caught him in the air a lot. I wanted Nephew to win because I like him and his RUclips. To me it feels like he would play way better with a character like Ken or Akuma. Juri doesn't seem to feel like his main idk. He needs to play the aggression a little less and play reactive a little more IMO. Shuto was on another level.
i honestly think he was still on the tempo of the last fight with zhen. he didnt have time to recalibrate himself. that match was hella intense and was technically more important than this match
@@The_cois_16 Idk if anything is more important than the grand finals but I get what you mean. That re-calibration is important. Taking a break after a loss to think over what's happening and what needs to be changed or what to be ready for. This game was a great example of taking advantage of an opponent who is overly aggressive. People complain about drive rush skipping neutral and wake ups, but here we see all that completely shut down. The player who is more reactive instead of aggressive and has the reaction timing and awareness to do so usually will always win. Its just way more solid to let the opponent walk into your hands than try to force an opening. Defensive options and punish counters are so strong in SF6.
bro he made a crazy losers run from top 16 to top 8, idk how you lose one set to the best character in the game and commenters are like ‘hmm maybe the character that qualified him into capcom cup isn’t for him’ crazy and the last guy was right, losers finals was more important for neph than grands. Can even see how on punk stream after losers final he’s like ‘my work here is done the hard part is over’ no excuses ofc but definitely a stressful moment to then immediate run grands
@@thepunisherxxx6804you didnt get what he meant what he meant to say was that the fight with zhen was more important then the grand finals because its a 2 qualifier event so if zhen won he would have a pass to the capcom cup so thats why that match was more important then the grand finals because this premiere was a 2 qualifier not one
