MOUA Museum of Underwater Arts GBR Australia 2024

We had a chance to dive in GBR during our Australia vacation. The Museum of Underwater Art is a series of underwater art installations as part of the John Brewer Reef, some 70km off coast from Townsville, Queensland Australia. The museum aims to promote the conservation of the Great Barrier Reef while acting as a public snorkelling and scuba diving attraction. It is the only underwater art museum in the Southern Hemisphere and consists of sculptures created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. The museum opened in 2020 and so you can see how fast the sealife and corals accomodated and grow.
