    Many things already stolen from China. Yes this include sushi and tea. "Japan has long had the custom of eating fish raw, the idea of serving it as a beautifully arranged dish is thought to have come from China, probably around the Kamakura period (1185-1333). In the mid-1800s, the British stole Camellia sinensis saplings from China and brought them to India, planting the saplings first in the northern Indian town of Saharanpur, near Kumaon (where much of our single-origin tea flourishes)." China actually was quite advance in many science and things for thousand of years. Just because it has a bad century under the western colonialism, that doesn't mean they are not capable of inventions. At least China never used invading other countries as part of its economic development plan.

    Ramen in Japan has its origins in China. It was the Instant Ramen that was invented by Japan. In China, it is known as La Mian (translated to Pulled Noodles)

  • @jeremyahesteban3394
    @jeremyahesteban3394 7 месяцев назад +79

    Fun fact:
    Ramen is also Chinese, but to them, the name Ramen is technically a method of making wheat noodles, rather than the name of the dish; though they also served the noodles with broth and other condiments with ramen, they don't call it ramen, they either call it soup or noodle soup(depends on where it originated).
    Japan likely adopted/discovered the noodle making method and used the name Ramen to signify the dish cause they did it differently.

    • @topsuperseven7910
      @topsuperseven7910 7 месяцев назад

      "Ramen" is the name of a Japanese company. It's a 'Brand Name' and the reason why dried noodles are dubbed 'Ramen' is because Ramen is who invented this kind of dried-noodle that can be instantly rehydrated.
      Chinese did not. Chinese did not teach the Japanese how to make food nor were Chinese some benevolent 'god beings' who adopted the little orphaned dogs in Japan and teach them how to become people.
      Anyway, in 1971, when Chinese were dying from starvation and malnutrition, Japan's Ramen (a brand name) invented this kind of noodle and 1000 other things the Chinese didn't invent or innovate but have today.

    The main reason why Chinese people think hot water is good for you is because they think it helps you regulate your body's temperature. When people are sick, their bodies need to produce more heat to fight off diseases and viruses. Traditional belief is that when people are sick, their bodies become cold due to a lack of heat. When your body needs more energy to produce heat, hot water helps the body by reducing the body's load to create energy. The idea is no different than having chicken soup when you have a cold. As for long-term health benefits, the best way to illustrate it is to think of a person's body as a car engine. By reducing engine usage, its helps the engine last much longer than an engine being abused. Chinese medicine is about maintenance rather than relieving. They focus on long-term benefits and rarely short-term relief.

    Ramen is a transliteration of Japanese Kanji 拉面, La mian is the Chinese pronounciation of 拉面, they use the same characters. You know kanji borrows tons of Chinese characters, as well as the meanings. They are literally the same thing, pulled noodles. But to differ the Japanese one from the Chinese one, you guys use Ramen a lot, but Chinese one you just call it Chinese noodles. We Chinese don't blame that, cause we involve into the western system late and also we have various noodle types, so La mian only cannot represent our noodle family. Peace.

    1 公共交通,其他国家学不了。即使中国城市人口集中,公共交通依然是亏钱的,地方政府要给企业补贴。当然(补贴之后)公共交通给经济带来好处很多,地方政府才这样做。人口分散的国家行不通。
    2 公共文明,文化传统问题。其实最大区别是包容,只要不太影响别人的利益,中国人不会太在意那个“奇特的人”。相对西方国家的“政治正确”式所谓文明好很多。就说同性恋问题,中国自古就有,但最多只会在背后批评,换了在西方的古代早就捉去烧死了。而现今西方又要把同性恋“合法化”,只要你表达不支持,都要面临工作被辞退的可能,与“烧死”也差不多。西方其实自古到今都是野蛮的、从未文明过。
    6 护照,中国人大多数其实不富裕,多数人不会去国外旅游。与其他国家最大区别是,中国物价不高,中国人的“底层”人民有一份正常工作,生活温饱基本能解决。
    7 外卖也是公共交通一样,需要在人口集中的城市。

    Vegetables in China and most parts of Asia are grown with low nitrate content, hence, much less bitterish then the veges you find in the West. I can actually buy Bok Choy at Aldi in Ireland, and I just throw them out after one bite.

    Yup, it did not surprise me that only 15% of Chinese had passports. 15% of 1.4 billion people is 210 million, and that's more than 3 times the total population of South Africa. A lot of Chinese just emerged from abject poverty and they cannot afford to travel abroad to take a look-around. When the Chinese middle class grows bigger, many more Chinese will travel outside of China to take a look-see. That time will come, in the not too distant future.

    Actually China's public transportation systems ( or by and large the grand public infrastructures) can not be replicated in the rest of world. Firstly it's because to achieve that, you need a large amount of money which few has. Secondly, China is a de facto Socialist country, hence its public transportation systems do not have to make a profit to start with. The money to build them come from Chinese people and their main goal is to serve Chinese people, even at "loss" . It is not cheap actually, but is subsidised by the government., which make it appear "cheap" . Just consider it as a kind of social welfare to the citizens. In comparison, Europe by and large and Japan can not do it, not in such a grand scale, let alone others.

    Regarding queuing, it is simply a matter of more or less people. In Europe, we also have that if there are fewer people everyone still queues consciously, and then if there are more people then there is no queue, they are all stuck there. 有关排队,这根本就是人多人少的问题。在欧洲,我们也有如果人少点大家还是自觉排队,然后人再多一些那就没有队伍了,都堵在那里。。。

    Thanks for the video. One thing that needs to be clarified is that Ramen is also originated from China. The word "Ramen" is written as 拉麺(CHT), even the pronunciation is barely changed. "拉" means to stretch and "麺" means wheat noodles. I believe when you are walking in China, you can always see shops like "兰州拉面", "河南拉面"or"中华牛肉面", where they sell real stretched wheat noodles.

    The CCTV video, shot in Shanghai on May 6, shows a man pouring the kerosene on an ATM and using a lighter to ignite it. While, he also ignites a candle to try to burn the camera.
    Then, he starts to use a tool to try to open the ATM and take the money out, but failed.
    Since he finds that the fire becomes larger, he pees on the ATM to extinguish the fire.
    According to local news, the 19-year-old young man named Li was just fired.
    He was detained by police and would be filed a civil action by the bank.

    I'm not going to argue with you. You said Sushi is from Japan. That is OK.
    But you know what Ramen means? Ramen means pull dough into noodle.
    Japanese does not pull their dough. They only put alkali into dough and shape the dough into noodles.
    Only Chinese really do pull-noodle.
    To find the truth is a little sophisticated.
    Japanese accepted Chinese culture can be traced Qin Dynasty.
    So you can see Japanese use chopsticks every where.
    And they keep writing with brush-pen sometimes.

    Technically China has “stolen” KTV. KTV-Karaoke Television is variation of Karaoke. It has moved from singing in front of a crowd to a private room or booth that also serves food and drinks, thus lot more palatable to reserved Chinese personality. Karaoke was invented by Daisuke Inoue in 1971, a Japanese musician who didn’t patent it and never got rich from it. So it is free for all to “steal” it. The evolved KTV in China is indeed a version ready to be stolen by other countries outside East Asia.

More reforestation. More rapid installation of renewable energy. So, you missed all the really important things. China could do with FAR more vegetarianism, as the consumption of meat is destroying nature and is unconscionably cruel.
