Just how good do you want music to get? Absolutely wonderful. I grew up with this music, but the singers and the orchestra reminded me how wonderful and life-enhancing real soul is. To the band and the singers? Chapeau, people. KEEP THE FAITH.

Thanks for uploading these, don't bother with TV, but would have happily paid a one of charge to watch this prom.
I encourage you to also listen to the full prom on BBC Sounds. I loved the enthusiasm from Radio 3 host Georgia Mann, especially when during the interval Stuart Maconie mentioned folk up & boogying, and he says "I'm surprised no one's thrown talc down yet!" Georgia goes "Oh, oh, what do you mean throwing the talc down?". So Stuart has to explain. Really great listening to the prom, plus during the interval Radio 3 had time to play about 2 & 1/2 tracks before the 2nd half. Bonus!
