Okay, I think this is officially the most preposterous Kung Fu cinema fight I’ve ever watched, and I loved it. You knew that one fighter would be good when the theme to Shaft started playing. That is, until, he had his arm chopped off by that Wolfman/Dracula looking wild man character! 🤣
OMFG... These are long gone memories. Remember being a kid watching this movie with stary eyes... Damn you just made my day 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I saw this in theaters as a kid and it was labeled “The Chinese Professionals” one of the best martial arts movies of the 70s!
I remember that too!!
gosh, how o r u now?
Đúng rồi
Yes
Same…this was my favorite Kung Fu movie not involving Bruce Lee or, later, Sonny Chiba.
I can see why Bruce Lee took over the Hong Kong martial arts film industry by storm 🤣
I’ve seen millions of these and that arm chop off got me in the floor!😂😂🤣😂😂🤣🤣🏆🏆🏆
EVERYTIME I wanna stop watching something crazier happens. WTF. Lmao 😂❤
This movie is older than 50 years, and still I have not seen better fight since then. 🙏
😂 bias much? Jackie Chan,Donnie yen,Yuen biao, tonny jaa and many more have surpassed where this movie was
You are correct! Pretty much every tournament fighting game made owes something to the "One Armed Boxer" series and "Ring of Death" and a handful of other movies.
Kung fu theater on Saturday afternoons, when I was kid, fond memories.
In Los Angeles it was called Black Belt Theater... good times!
Damn I guess homeboy who got tossed thru the wall is good. 😂
Master: "I'm not afraid of you!"
Enemy: "I'm gonna kill you!"
Master: "NO! I will kill you first"
Master: "Okay, Lee, go fight him!"
English dub at its' finest.
Gotta love how the good guys are essentially cheating by bringing weapons in. XD
Now I understand why the appearance of Bruce Lee caused such a shock among the audience of that time. He introduced a fundamentally new technique and speed into the world of martial arts in cinema.
Bruce lee was prior to this. Bruce lee was as slow as these fights here and had around 3 times more cuts in his scenes. I have no idea, what you are talking about. Bruce lee movies are totally boring. Just the production was much better and more expensive. The fights were 0. The next step in martial arts was Jackie Chan. This guys fight scenes and the ones of his team mates are so underrated, mostly because of the comical characters he played. But their fighting scenes were next level. In my opinion Jackie Chans fighting scenes are unreached until this day.
The sequel is even better with an even more awesome lineup of fighters. Master of the Flying Guillotine.
Some of them are like copies of these ones like those thai guys and that Indian guy also the Master of the Flying Guillotine was a lama
that one's good too, but it's borderline plotless so I'd call this movie a little better. The choreography feels a little better in places in this movie too. That punch at 8:40 feel brutal.
Oh I've heard of that guillotine movie...so that's related to this one! 😲
The dude in yellow always plays the villain in every movie he's in 😂
He was in a lot of Jet LI movies back in the day.
He even brought Tibetan monks into battle lol! I fcking love old kung fu movies
So this is how MMA was created.
Yeah ...thats why bruce lee dont use kungfu style in every his movement... Bruce lee's movement more to kick boxing style and etc
Mma a joke compared too this

before Bruce Lee's movies, there's this kind of fight choreography
I grew up in the 70's. Kung Fu, Godzilla, and Speedracer was my jam back then. But this type of choreography even with Bruce in it (except Enter The Dragon) was the standard. Bruce did add his touches to his movies, they even told him he had to slow it down because he was extremely fast, but alas you can still see studio interference. It wasn't till the late 70's and early 80's where it became more of a free form fights with the emerging of Jackie Chan to the scene. Everyone's early thought of Chan was probably the early 90's. But I was one of a few to notice him in Enter The Dragon after watching several of his movies beginning mid to late 70' (early easter egg, spoiler alert).
Those muay thai guys weren't exactly at Ong-Bak quality.
Watched this movie over 40 years ago as a young teenager. I was so thrilled back then, but now it looks funny However it still brings back many funny memories.
Ahh, the classics. The best thing about this is how straight forward the Kung Fu is! No character overstays their welcome. They do their thing, and either win or lose. Also, I keep expecting Shaft to walk in... ah well.
Those faces expressions is a whole lot a movie 😂 golden days
9:54 “ it’s serious” 😂😂😂😂 yes, I would say it is serious. He lost his arm 😂
He meant its serious to the point he is going to die. If its just losing an arm and he wont die from it then they have to take it like a man, no hospitalization. In the Three Kingdoms, General Xiahuan losts his eye from an arrow and he took the arrow out at that very moment and ate his own eye.
There would be no tournament fighting games if not for Jimmy Wang Yu.
Raja sing looks awfully like Justin Trudeau.
Did NOT expect that arm injury

Great fun but in terms of choreography, I now appreciate more the famous 6 martial artists who worked together loads: Chiang Sheng, Philip Kwok, Sun Chien, Mang Lo, Feng Lu and Chen Kuan Tai
These movies were regarded as Bgrade to the Shaolin Movies and the big name stars Bruce Lee; Liu Chia Hui (Gordon Liu); Cheng Sing; Bolo; etc; i think this is Jimmy Wang Yu coming out party.
They still got airplay after we watched all the others a million times first 😂
Actually i just remembered this is Jimmy Wang Yu a legend of Hong Kong Triad member; he has a rep as true street fighter; if you notice he has no technique its all improvised as he was a real street fighter which i only learnt a couple years ago thanks to RUclips but he was a favourite; i ddnt know that when i was younger and other movies seemed to have better fighters!
This guy had no formal training; just pure reflex; timing; spatial awareness and improvised during the fight; thats why his fight scenes looked B Grade against the others as i think there was no choreography if I remember someone was saying about him. Look it up!
He’s the guy that lost the arm; he goes an trains and comes back as the hero...
WOW! 40 years ago! Good childhood memories from "Kung Fu Theater"!😃🙌🏽🥋🎬📺

This was the first UFC in history.
Na for me all bets are off when someone brings a vampire to the party.
There’s 2 Thailand kick boxers 2 Buddhist monks 1 Indian yoga master 1 sensei 1 master of dark arts kun-fu 2 judo white belts 1 disciple of sensei and 1 aikido samurai. .. that’s all my western mind saw even before I watched the video .
Ironically, in real life, the 2 muay Thai fighters, and judoka (more likely a jujutsu fighter) would have wiped up the floor with the kung fu guys.
BTW, that's not an aikido fighter per se. The hakama is not unique to aikido and present in other budo styles. Also aikido is a modern martial art circa 1930's to 1970's and would still not have been developed at that time. And contrary to Stephen Seagal movies, aikido is actually pacifist in its philosophy of peace and non-aggression.
They probably used the hakama more to let the audience know that it's a Japanese bad guy.
@@assoverteakettle The villain introduces him as a Taekwon-Do master... with a Chinese name, wearing Japanese clothing and doing ONE kick the entire fight! :D :D :D And Taekwon-Do, even the name itself, didn't even exist before 1955.
Saw this movie too in the theaters back in the day. Saw it in French under the title ''Le Boxeur manchot'' (litterally one-armed boxer) and in French, he was introduced as a Karate master... which makes much more sense looking at the way he fights. Truly enjoyed this movie back then. Still fun now. A true classic.
