I tried to make this dish with alternative products in the Netherlands and I would say that that the filo pastry (for Yufka) is the closest. + Greek yogurt and Feta cheese (It is important to choose THE BEST one you got in the market, otherwise it will taste bad Ew and we don't want that) since they are the closest to the BG ones. You can also add sugar between the layers
Next time if you try this concept again, here is the recipe for one of the best Azerbaijani food : It's called Qutab For the dough: 4-5 cups of flour 1 egg 1 tsp salt Warm water To spread the dough: 4-5 tablespoons of flour For the filling: 10 bunches of greens (coriander, dill, spinach, onion, mint, garlic, parsley, sorrel, etc.) Salt to taste In the end for serving: Butter or vegetable oil Top: Sumac(Sumach) Yogurt Preparation: Sift the flour into a bowl, sprinkle some salt, break the egg in the middle, add water and mix it with a spoon. Then knead the dough with your hands. Divide the dough into small pieces and then roll it. Do not let the skin dry. Then prepare the filling. After cleaning and washing the greens, chop them finely. Sprinkle salt on the chopped greens and mix well. Take some dough, sprinkle some flour on the table and om the dough as well, and create a thin layer. Spread the filling on the top half. Fold the top in half and tighten the sides. We put it on a frying pan and fry both sides. In this way we prepare all the poles. After cooking each qutab, add butter between them, then it will be both soft and tasty. You can sprinkle sumac on top and add yogurt to taste. You could do some Polish recipes! You live so close to Poland, maybe you even know some of our recipes. Some examples of great and delicious Polish food: pierogi (dumplings, I recommend those with cheese and potato filling), naleśniki (pancakes/crepes), potato pancakes (I know you don't love potatoes but these are sooo so good!), apple pancakes, zupa buraczkowa (beetroot soup) or Polish donuts. I live in Wisconsin in the US and we have a lot of people with Polish heritage so we're lucky enough to enjoy the food! Love potato & cheese pierogi, especially with caramalized onions and bacon on top, and it's coming up on Fat Tuesday soon, which means paczki of all different flavors!! Cabbage rolls are amazing, too, and could definitely be made vegetarian really easily!

There are plenty of ways to make the eggplant and all of them are so popular like sometimes you can serve the eggplant as kind of pickles with every step you made except putting it in the oven and almost the same stuffing. Or with larger eggplant you can grill it and make "baba ghanouj" which I really recommend you to try it's so easy and fun to make and the smell in the kitchen while preparing it is always my favourite part. And that rice with slightly different steps is a main dish here where we can serve every meal with different vegetables recipes. Many dishes are famous among different countries with slight differents you could try to do them.
Honestly, I think you should try ✨Lángos✨ from Hungary bc I saw Naomi try it out at Christmas, but that’s not how it should have looked. It should be crispy on the side but soft in the middle

hello! maybe it didn't raise as much because u could've killed the yeast with the salt or the yeast wasn't as active when you used it. as a rule of thumb while working with yeast you should try it (from the same batch but not the same yeast) first, mixing it with warm water and sugar first, leave it a few mins in a warm place and see if it bubbles, if not, the yeast is "dead" already

Deckel drauf und bei leichter Hitze nochmal so lange köcheln lassen, bis die Eigelbe wachsweich sind. (Von aussen hellgelbe Farbe). Dann noch so viel Maggi und Salz rein wie ihr mögt.

You should do Spain!!! Two iconic spanish recipes are "Tortilla de patatas" (potato omelette) or "Gazpacho" (a refreshing tomato drink or soup, trust me, it's reeeeaaaally good). For the "tortilla de patatas" you are only going to need: Potatoes, oil, eggs and salt (you can also put onion in it or other stuff, there are many types). It might seem very simple, but the cooking it's a little bit tricky. I do recommend you to watch a youtube video. The main ingredient of the "gazpacho" is tomato as I said, but you must put also in there cucumber, garlic, onion, bread (yes, bread)... But idk, everyone makes it in a different way, so I also recommend you to look for a recipe that includes vegetables and stuff that you might like. Anyways, I hope you read this and maybe do one of those, that would be amazing!!! Love u

The best onces are pierogi which are basically dumplings with various stuff inside or kogelmogel which is ( you are gonna hate me for that ) a raw egg with sugar! It might be hard to fins a recipie in for that so I am pooping it down below! Separate the egg yolk and whites Beat the whites untill firm foam Mix the egg yolk with 3 spoons of sugar and some vanilla extract Combine everything togheter gently so the whites will stay firm It taste so good!
most of the people in turkey cant get that pirinç pilavı(rice) right all the time, sometimes its gets kinda doughy BUT your pirinç (your pronounce was perfect for pirinç and imam bayıldı dont be shy) turned out very well even for the first try, afiyet olsun(bon appetit!)
if you’re comfortable with frying, i think it’d be fun for you to try some fried american dishes! funnel cakes (I don’t know if that’s specifically american but it’s summer food here fs), corn dogs with veggie hotdogs, finger steaks (beer battered & fried steak strips) with veggie steak…oh! and an ice cream potato (vanilla ice cream in potato shape dusted in cocoa powder & a dollop of whip & chocolate shavings on top) for dessert!(: this may be more idahoan than american, but these are a few of my local faves 😋😋

For the turkish rice you could also use a bit more butter instead of olive oil and put some vegeta or vegetable broth in it for more and better flavor! :)
You should do Spain!!! Two iconic spanish recipes are "Tortilla de patatas" (potato omelette) or "Gazpacho" (a refreshing tomato drink or soup, trust me, it's reeeeaaaally good).
For the "tortilla de patatas" you are only going to need: Potatoes, oil, eggs and salt (you can also put onion in it or other stuff, there are many types). It might seem very simple, but the cooking it's a little bit tricky. I do recommend you to watch a youtube video.
The main ingredient of the "gazpacho" is tomato as I said, but you must put also in there cucumber, garlic, onion, bread (yes, bread)... But idk, everyone makes it in a different way, so I also recommend you to look for a recipe that includes vegetables and stuff that you might like.
Anyways, I hope you read this and maybe do one of those, that would be amazing!!!

Hello neighbour! You should try some polish food! The best onces are pierogi which are basically dumplings with various stuff inside or kogelmogel which is ( you are gonna hate me for that ) a raw egg with sugar! It might be hard to fins a recipie in for that so I am pooping it down below!
Separate the egg yolk and whites
Beat the whites untill firm foam
Mix the egg yolk with 3 spoons of sugar and some vanilla extract
Combine everything togheter gently so the whites will stay firm
It taste so good!

most of the people in turkey cant get that pirinç pilavı(rice) right all the time, sometimes its gets kinda doughy BUT your pirinç (your pronounce was perfect for pirinç and imam bayıldı dont be shy) turned out very well even for the first try, afiyet olsun(bon appetit!)
if you’re comfortable with frying, i think it’d be fun for you to try some fried american dishes! funnel cakes (I don’t know if that’s specifically american but it’s summer food here fs), corn dogs with veggie hotdogs, finger steaks (beer battered & fried steak strips) with veggie steak…oh! and an ice cream potato (vanilla ice cream in potato shape dusted in cocoa powder & a dollop of whip & chocolate shavings on top) for dessert!(: this may be more idahoan than american, but these are a few of my local faves 😋😋
