My f150 has the Apple play. The car compass will not work unless it is synced with Waze but there no guidelines as to how to do that. I also have the 8” screen. When I punch the Navigation button it activates Waze but not the compass. Do you know how to fix this.

I did see that as an option under the phone settings, maybe go in there and see if you can disable that feature.

I'm pretty sure you need to replace it with another station.
