    Would love to even the field a bit by using Tony Mamo's ported MSD. Bet $$$ that on a 440 cube motor, the MSD would gain at least 25hp, which would put it at 740+hp

      Comp Cams On the intake side, an MGZ 23502 lobe measures 250 degrees of duration at .050-inch of lift with a gross lift at the valve of .684 inch, with a 1.8:1 ratio rocker arm. For the exhaust lobe, an EHX-series 12701 lobe was chosen. It has 267 degrees of duration at .050-inch of lift. With .675 inch of valve lift. LSA unknown.

    I was so excited to see this test and then so bummed that you didn't get Tony Mamo to Port the MSD. I think you would be surprised how much closer it is to those big intakes. My 427 made 807hp and 665lb/ft using his ported MSD

      807 n 665 427??? Has to be a Borowski motor. I have no doubt its a strong build, but 807 n 665? What are cam specs? Hydraulic or solid roller? Lift? Compression? Fuel?

    I would still use the LSXR

    So for a road racing application LS3 that runs 6500 Max I want a long runner intake??

      Yes

    • @AMac1978
      @AMac1978 3 года назад

      You want a broad torque band in a road race application. Ideally you would have a different runner length per cylinder to try and broaden the power band and a set of tri y headers to match.

      @@AMac1978 so what intake is best I’m running a 2010 Camaro SS 6 speed manual and I’m about to install a GPI ported and rod modded intake with heads an cam already have a set of Stainless Works headers but not Tri -Ys are the requirement?

    • @Thedonron12
      @Thedonron12 3 года назад

      @@robertfoley6430 The cost of a FAST over the GPI ported and rod mod intake isn't worth it. Make sure you have a ported TB to match their intake and your headers are fine. You will see a nice increase in power and torque across the curve.

    Helpful information, so thanks for posting! I’m building an LS 440 NA w/LS3 style Heads. I’ve been plucking daisies between the Atomic in the FAST 102. From what I reviewed, the FAST seems to be slightly more efficient. 🤷‍♂️ -not sure
