    I LOVE that you guys actually went to the proper RPM to realize the gains of the shorter runner intakes. There are so many videos out there with guys complaining about losing power on a short runner intake and they shut the thing down at 6800.

    You know the funny thing is that I did the same thing for John on the Cleveland heads and intake, which I did the design work on, I spent countless hours and plenty of my own money finding out what was best, the investment is huge when you are putting your own money into this stuff. And then the customer wants to pay nothing for it. I commend you for what you have done. Now people will rush off to an engine assembler and tell them what parts to buy and act like a HERO when the engine makes power. I think you understand what I am saying. Great work, Johns intake is awesome. I only wish you would have ran the Cadalic SUV intake???

    • @hughobrien4139
      @hughobrien4139 2 года назад

      R&D work never seems to payoff like it should from a money-effort standpoint.
      Did it for 10 years. Funded mostly by one customer.
      The doubters come from everywhere.
      You could have correlating numbers from the flow bench showing improvement.
      Then the nay sayers would come out of the woodworks saying,” air flow isn’t everything, the dyno will tell the tale!”
      Get it on the dyno and sure enough the tell was told.
      Then here they come again,”But you can’t race a dyno, only the track will tell the tale!”
      Car goes down the track consistently faster and it would all go back to the “airflow isn’t everything narrative.”
      The most frustrating part of life is when the power wasn’t what was expected.
      They all came running for the flow bench data first.
      Never a straight up, you did a good job and you’re headed in the right direction. Just doubt, doubt and more doubt.

The tail lights and front end are the best looking out of the 5th gens and even better looking than the 2019+. I’m coming straight to you guys and getting 13:1 cp pistons with ss4 cams beehive springs and light weight valves rockers and chromoly rods 8 pound fly wheel. Also sending you my heads to be cnc port and polished. As well as an intake manifold. Going to call ARH and see if they will do a set of equal length long tube headers as well as equal length exhaust with only high density magna flow resonators and x pipe. I want to be spinning 7500 rpm’s. At my dad gas station he carries Sunoco SS100 octane fuel so 13:1 shouldn’t be a problem.

    How is power below 4500.. ill be keeping my stock ls manifold, i could add 1psi boost and gain more than 10hp.. if it gained all across the board then it might be worth it.

      Maybe 10 min of info, that was some great stuff-minus no IAT1s/2s, AFR and any info about tuning differences/how much did they alter the tune and where and what changed bet manis, and what were the two cams specs?-All wouldve been great to make it to 20 or 30 min depending on tuning diff info..
      And What heads and cubic inch?(oh pistons only, I remember now)

    I would like to find the cross ram dyno test on the LS motor, which had the highest average torque and horsepower below 6,000 rpm. I saw the test apx. a year to two years ago. Anybody know of this, let me have the url. Thanks
