Pre-1922 silver 5 cents were known as ‘fish scales’. And the 1911 specimen sets were struck to commemorate the ‘coronation’, not the ‘inauguration’ of King George V, who was not the president of the USA…and ‘stuff like that’. But it’s nice to see you young fellows carrying the torch!

Im thinking of getting a large amount of my canadian coin collection graded I have some high grade large cents, high grade silver nickels, and a decent silver dime early 1900s....the one I'm not sure on is a 1874-H quarter it is au or unc details but I have no doubt it's been cleaned even though it has a gorgeous patina

If you send the 1874-H, you won't get a grade. You'll be told AU-details, UNC details, etc, but no specific grade like AU-58.

@@jamesedwards7442 yeah Im not sure if it adds value or not. I won it in an auction like a decade ago for $30 or so and book value at XF is $110....I dont even know how to wrap my head around adjusting price for it previously being cleaned. When I purchased I hadnt realised it was cleaned as I was a young collector but know can tell it is.

Hi, thank's for all your videos. I have discovered a Large Canadian Cents 1919. (Dot). The dot is under the letters in de mettle Canada Numismatic doesn't recognize it, so I wonder what can I do. Thank you.

Hello, thank you for the video, I have a question. With PCGS you get vouchers for gold and platinum, do those vouchers cover the cost of the grading? Or is there still fees? And with the silver membership, you pay for the grading?
