You had a great presentation explaining this radio thank you very much in the engineers at Midland did such a great job on this radio so different from all the other handhelds this radio is a winner 🖐️😉👌😎👍👍👍👍👍
To program a channel in memory. Select a channel. Press the f button . Then press down and hold one of the five memory buttons until the radio beeps. The display will then show a memory channel icon above the signal meter. Then to go to a memory channel - press the f button and then the memory button. FYI the light and up and down buttons can also be programmed as memory M6,M7 and M9.
I have this radio. As a handheld it is completely worthless. Used as a mobile in my pickup, with a Wilson 1000 mag mount antenna, it has a 2-3 mile range, which is enough to talk to nearby truckers. But this is a very cheap radio. My biggest issue is the squelch. On most higher quality radios, if you turn the squelch a little bit beyond the threshold setting, the radio will stay quiet until a strong local signal comes through. On this radio, skip and static are constantly getting through, no matter where you have the squelch set, making it really annoying. I keep it turned off most of the time. Show less
Hey what's up Jeff!!! It seems like its been so long since I commented on a video. I'm always working these days. Need money for these preps lol. Anyway great topic as usual. I hope all is well with you and the family!
Joseph Pettus hello Joseph! I hear you on that one… Things can get a little expensive! LOL thanks for watching, common today and being there! Definitely appreciate you. I have had to cut back to one video per week through the end of the year… So I know what you mean when it comes to being crazy busy. Stay ready my man!
Hi great video by the way was just wondering how long it takes to charge the batteries and is there any indication on the unit to tell you when it’s fully charged?
andy beattie Thank you for your comment! Excellent questions… I don’t know that I have much of an answer though. The problem is I am blind so I have no idea if there is an LED light or some sort of indication when it is fully charged. I presume there is. As far As Time to charge again I don’t know. It has been many months since I have use this radio. I did turn it on the other day as I am packing for a move I can tell you that the battery was still strong. I was able to listen to other band for quite a while and then turned it off. Definitely holds a charge well
Hey Jeff thanks for your reply, yeh I'm struggling to find out this info it seems that you just have to guess how long you have to charge for but I suppose it would depend on what rechargeable batteries you put in the unit, atm I'm using duracell 2450 mah and am leaving it on charge for around 8 hours but I'm thinking that I should maybe leave it for a few hours more although I'm a bit hesitant because I don't want to overcharge them. Anyways keep the videos coming brother, love from bonny Scotland 🏴
I bought one of these and I am unable to open the battery compartment. I follow instructions, and I feel if I pull any harder, something is going to break. It doesn't open, as of the button mechanism isn't moving the inner latch. Anyone else have this problem?
Sorry, but you can't use it while it's recharging as all the power is going to the batteries... if that was possible you could attach the battery pack without batteries in it and plug in the adapter for direct 12v power... and you can't
I have the midland 75-785 handheld I was wondering is there anyway you can open it up and tune it make it more powerful I already have a great antenna on it
Thanks for checking in… No I have not made videos in a very long time. I enjoyed it… But don’t have the help I wants had is my son is in school and working now. Just simply don’t have the time. Thinking of doing a couple sometime in the future… Some updates might be cool. We shall see

I took tech exam last week and epically failed.
Is there an SSB handheld CB radio?
Would you still recommend this?
